It should be linked to their actions, when I called out the Hindy who sailed solo into a cap as his first action of a ranked game and got obliterated within seconds. Shortly followed by a gearing who sailed within spotting range of a Yamato & GK for a better torp drop. Their actions effectively through the game before it started, reports about my chat to them should be discounted in such situations as it's fully justified.

Yes and no, it all depends on how you addressed them. If you yelled and namecalled them you should still get chatbanned. Nothing justifies such behaviour.

Another problem is that this cannot be done by an automated system, you'll need a human to look into these. And WG doesn't have the staff for this.

I think best advice for playing this game (especially Ranked and Randoms) is to; A) instal Aslain mod with function of hiding / turn off in game chat, and B) take this from picture bellow BEFORE starting playing game.
