I'd be interested if they buff her and drop the price by about 30%. 50%

I'd only consider it if they give her some actual strength. Right now she seems to have the fragility of a light cruiser, but none of the strenghts like DPM, fire setting, AA, or some strong consumable like radar.

If they give her better fire chance, better DPM, maybe better autobounce angles for AP, or something like that to at least give her something that she is good at I might have considered it.

As others have said, I might get this if it ever gets reduced to an outrageous degree - that'll also give me time to train up the necessary high point captain in the T6...

Heal is probably the strongest consumable in the game. (heal > radar > smoke) Tier 7-8 cruisers would kill for one.

Once the usual 'OMG cruiser has a citadel and gets deleted' hype dies down Abruzzi will be one of the highest performing cruisers at tier 7.

Abysmal ship. Even as top tier.

She would be a lot better if her AP wasn't as crap as it is now. Seriosly with Abuzzi you need to learn to aim from beginning. Waterline AP shots always fall too short. You have to aim slightly above to hit.

She also needs a high point captain to be actually playable.

On the bright side. She has probably one of the best models in game so far. 3D artist really worked hard on her.

Agree, She definitely needs a buff. My feel is like meh ship and have little regret to buy this UP beauty.

I thought I was going mad. Fired three AP salvoes at a NO from under 6km and nothing. Somehow, still alive, I switched to HE thinking that would do it, all shatters... Died.

I bought her (as I always do), but Christ she's hard work.

It's often a good idea with Duca D'Aosta to focus on torps. probably the same here.... you can often cause a lot of pain to autopiloting BBs  with those. Getting into gunfights is often inadviseable.

Starting to sound like another weak premium cruiser...:Smile_facepalm:

Shame you cant trial buy Premium ships ...pay a small fee for a couple of days to try said premium ship.  If you like it you pay the rest and keep ....if you don't let trial expire......

were just left with rage selling atm if the choice turns out to be a doozy!

dont have her  (although i would like too if its wasnt so weak)

but from what i read in the current state it seems that ist easily fixed by  giving it decent shells and maybe a bit of range.
dunno why this shouldnt be possible

They all work, one way or another. You just have to figure out how.

True, but does this come under the heading of "another situational ship?" again.....

Most cruisers Still come under the heading of jack of all trades master of none, which IMO is why we have so few cruisers in the game....I would like to see this change but if they keep bringing out premium ships that are found wanting what chance do they have of being a decisive influence on the game especially in the shadow of the BB meta which WG have created themselves.

Im looking forward to see if the American line split will be a sort of a deciphering moment for cruisers as perhaps the heavy cruiser line will have a better impact on the game and in essence a blue print for improving this class..we can only wait and see.

But who are we kidding the moment we do ever get a decent cruiser, BB players will let us know right?:Smile_trollface:

Having a situational ship is one thing, I'm always up for having something fill a certain niche even if it's not going to be particularly strong in general.

But the Abruzzi has no specific advantage or play-style associated with it. It's just a very uninteresting and very weak ship.

I'll come to the defense of objectively underperforming ships like the Huanghe because it's still interesting to play and has some specific strengths even if the sum of its strengths and weaknesses add up to a bad performing ship.

I don't think every ship needs to be something you'd bring to ranked, but you still need a reason for someone to play them for fun.

RM CLs are IJN CA play-style (see Atago) with lighter/faster reloading weapons.

I've been using a RN CL style captain in Aosta over the classic 152mm IFHE damage farmer (Radio location, twin spotters for destroyers etc)

That's fun.

Abruzzi need love, WG

It needs more than love. It appears to me, as I saved my money and haven't bought it, to be worse than Huang Meh. And I have the Huang Meh.

You can always do better. Third game with her.

Sadly her turret angles favour running instead of pushing.

From the games I played I would only like as a start the HE Alpha per shell to be matched with the D'Aosta and the rudder shift time reduced as atm it is almost 2 secs slower than the D'Aosta. It doesn't do well bottom tier but I've managed to perform well in tier 8 games.

Just met an Abruzzi in a battle. He finished dead last on the losing team, even though he survived almost to the end. :Smile_sad:

That graphic of the RM sailor flexing his muscles probably isn't appropriate for this ship.

Should have been a skinny guy trying to look strong, like that Mr Muscle advert in the UK :cap_haloween:

I just killed one with my Duca D'Aosta's secondaries, which was novel. Abruzzi melts like butter in a fight, by the looks of it, and a heal is no good in a situation like that. I think she may be a bit of a sniper's boat.
