WLTB 2 balls of string, 2 rolls of duct-tape for strapping 2 soviet torpedoes together to get one 8.0 km torp, must be cheap (and waterproof).

If you plan to use torps in the Soviet gunboat line you are doing it wrong. They are called "gunboats" for a reason.

Probably, but then again never let the truth stand in the way of a good laugh :)

It's called Anshan.

Wrong tech tree.

Gremyashchy (available only from super containers and those Christmas things) and Leningrad are the ones.

Though in case of Gremlin they're more towards mobile mines with awesomely fast 55 knots speed and minute long travel time.

With slow for cruisers 36s traverse speed guns...

Leningrad is your friend. It's funny because most people forget, or just plain don't realise, that she has 8km torps. They repair the fire, chase the gunboat and... pop, flooding! :cap_like:

Well, at least they're faster than the 53kts Kebab torps. Which also have the awesome range of 6km, so if you're going that line you're back to suicide torps. That said, if you get within 6km of a smoked up ship without hydro they're very potent.

Kind of actually done, but with a missile: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metel_Anti-Ship_Complex

Derzki is basically our long lost Kitakami, or can be played that way, for fun & profit. 10 torpedoes every ~20 seconds will devour anything you get close to.

Yes Derzki can be fun, but you need really stupid opponents, I in fact like the Izyaslav a lot 3x3 centreline , that difference between 4 and 5 km means a lot , still protected MM, and far more useful guns.

The 8 km torps makes the Gremy so potent even though they are slow. Longer torps that 4 km for the rest of RU Torps would made them OP, though I may think that they could be given 5 km but they should be worse than others.
