Since version 0.9.4.0 I noticed that the Ta 152 C-1 of GRAF ZEPPELIN are all armed with rocket launchers when in port: In a match GRAF ZEPPELIN of course still has her Ta 152 C-1 armed with a torpedo or a bomb: The GRAF ZEPPELIN Ta 152 C-1 being equipped with rocket launchers in port is probably a mistake due to the Ta 152 C-1 also being used on the upcoming Tier 10 German Carrier, but hopefully it might also mean something more. So the question to be raised is: will GRAF ZEPPELIN finally get a better alternative to the current Ta 152 C-1 that is armed with a bomb in the shape of a Ta 152 C-1 that is armed with AP rockets in the near future? It would be "nice" to finally have an improvement over the current quite underwhelming, to use an understatement, Ta 152 C-1 armed with a bomb. To have an alternative and improvement for this bomb armed Ta 152 would bring German Carriers in line with USA Carriers that also have a choice between the 29 cm rockets and the 12.7 cm rockets for their Carrier Aircraft. Is there anyone that has any information about this? Most likely the rocket launchers that are currently mounted on the Ta 152 C-1 of GRAF ZEPPELIN when in port is just a result of sloppy work by the WOWS Development team and more likely than not the GRAF ZEPPELIN will remain stuck with the current underpowered bomb armed Ta 152 C-1, since WOWS Management has proven that any suggestion to improve anything in this area will be fully ignored. Still it would be nice if this is not just a "mistake" made by the WOWS Development team but instead a sneak preview of an upcoming - long overdue - improvement for the bomb armed Ta 152 C-1 of GRAF ZEPPELIN.

    How to dodge rocket planes?

    How do I doge these? I've tried turning in to them so by the time the rockets are able to be fired I've left the attack reticle, I've tried stopping immediately and turning hard left/right. Most of the times these tactics don't seem to work and I always end up getting a few modules broken (torpedo tubes and stuff like that, mostly). What are your ways of dodging rockets and is it effective?
  3. Hi Everyone, So I still consider myself a fairly new player (around 500 games) despite rushing my way to T10 (I know, I know...). Anyway, I am looking to improve my destroyer play - specifically regarding dealing with CV attacks. I am aware that one should keep AA switched off unless already spotted and that smoke can help, but sometimes the enemy CV catches you out of position, or just makes a mission of hunting you down. My question is: What is the best way to handle this? Which attacks are best dodged by turning into them? Which (if any) have elongated targeting reticles and are best dodged by turning broadside? Obviously I can't completely avoid this sort of damage, but I assume through improving my play that I can learn to mitigate it somewhat, so any tips would be greatly appreciated. For reference I mainly play IJN torpedo boats and am trying to learn Shimakaze (though having a very rough time of it - I picked it up pretty much just after the CV rework hit and admittedly got frustrated enough to take a break from the game).   4. This proposed consumable "Evasive Maneuver" is an idea I picked up from @naztb and then refined it a bit more. If you like it or want to add additions, feedback and your constructive input is very welcome. If WG implements such an idea, then please no more CV OP complaints :D - Consumable "Evasive Maneuver" - Reduces ship turn radius by 50% - 3 charges - 12 seconds active - 90 seconds cool down To give everyone a chance, I wouldn't mind if any ship can fit it. Could also solve the "Too much radar/smoke/acoustics players" problem, if it would be implemented in the way that players have to make their choice of either taking the "Evasive Maneuver" consumable or Radar/Smoke/Acoustics instead.

    Are IFHE Rockets a good idea?

    Hey guys, just some food for thought. Since rockets have pen, can't we have the IFHE skill work on it too to increase pen? Just an idea since rockets work really similarly to HE shells already. Feel free to discuss. Just throwing the idea out there.
  6. I'm still scratching my head about the AA / CV rework and how it impacts Hood, which I used to run as an AA boat. The in-game info panel tells me nothing - clicking the individual mounts just shows the guns, doesn't give me info about which range-grouping each corresponds to; and looking at the info breakdown for those range-bands isn't massively helpful. A look on the WOWS fitting tool shows the close-range AA DPS is incredibly low, with rockets not apparently creating flak bursts nor making the base close-range DPS much better than KGV. Wiki is still recommending Advanced Firing Training, and saying the defensive fire consumable applies to the rockets with a x2 modifier which is still significantly less than KGV's base if we're to accept the short-range DPS value given. Could someone please explain to me what the hell is going on? Because as far as I can get a read on it, AFT is now "meh" for the Hood because it doesn't improve the close-range rockets' continuous damage, BFT is more appropriate because it DOES synergise with the defensive fire consumable - but is probably still a waste because the improved AA is lacklustre anyway; which makes both the AA upgrades on the ship redundant because it's no longer fit for purpose as an AA specialist. Is this about the size of it?
