    Realne Polskie drzewko w WoWs

Witam. A Murmańsk? Przecież to klasa Omaha. Stacjonowały one we flotyllach ochrony Helu i Świnoujścia w czasach Polskiej Rzeczpospolitej Ludowej.

    Polska Flaga

ORP ORZEŁ ORP ORZEŁ : Submarine from Polish Orzeł-type. Built in dutch shipyard - ''De Schelde''. with the proceeds from part by contributions from the society, intended at the Fundusz Obrony Morskiej. The construction of these warships was developed with the participation of specialists Polish Navy. According to the specifications of the contract, Orzeł must to have the opportunity to dip to a depth of 80 meters, but during testing reached a depth of 100 meters. Orzeł served in the Dywizjon Okrętów Podwodnych (Submarine Division). History: Orzeł participated in 1939 Defensive War: September 2nd: Polish command intended to use "Orzeł" for action against the battleship "Schleswig-Holstein". However, the opportunity to attack arose not out, "Schleswig-Holstein" not left the port channel. September 3rd: diagnosed two German chasers, and about 22 hours "Wilk" silhouette - two ships (Orzeł and Wilk) came together and established voice communication. September 4th: "Orzeł" took course in the vicinity of Hel. At 8.00 am the commander decided to leave the bay, where, he thought, was exposed to air strikes, and decided to go north. Approximately 3.05 PM, Orzeł going to periscope depth, and was spotted and bombed by enemy aircraft. As a result, numerous throw depth charges, one of which came very close to the submerged ship, affected the morale of the entire staff, and above all, the commander. Kłoczkowski took arbitrary decision to leave their sector and inland far north in the area of Gotland, without informing the Fleet Command. September 5: In the evening from Hel was given radiograph for all submarines, demanding change sectors. As it turned out, "Orzeł" is not only overtook the decision commander of the fleet, but went much further north from the designated sector. September 8: Commander Henryk Kłoczkowski started to complain about an undiagnosed illness, which was impossible for him to command the ship, and do not accept any food except tea. Even though the disease Kłoczkowski is not transmitted Command deputy to Captain Grudziński. In addition, damage after the bombing of the ship, the crew without outside help was not able to fix it. September 10: has been given from the ship commanders report about the disease. As a result, further exchange of orders and reports commander got a choice: either to leave his ship in a neutral port, or get up at night to Hel for change commander. Kłoczkowski decided to wrap the relatively distant Tallinn, capital of Estonia, although the instructions Fleet Command had taken into account the possibility of wrapping Polish submarines only to the ports of Sweden and Finland. Escape from Tallinn: The crew of Orzeł conspired together to carry out a daring escape. Around midnight on 18 September, the submarine's Estonian guards were overpowered, the mooring lines were cut, and Orzeł got under way. The alarm was raised, and her conning tower was peppered by machine-gun fire. Running half-submerged, Orzeł ran aground on a bar at the harbour mouth, where artillery fire damaged her wireless equipment. Grudzinski managed to get the boat off the bar by blowing her tanks, and she proceeded out of the Gulf of Finland, intending to sail for a British port, the crew having heard a radio report that the Polish submarine Wilk had been welcomed in Britain. Orzel's crew decided to head to Tallinn, Estonia as a result of an unidentified illness from which their captain, Lieutenant-Commander Henryk Kłoczkowski, had been suffering since September 8. ORP Orzeł reached Tallinn on 14 September 1939 and on 15 September the captain was forced to leave the submarine to undergo hospital treatment. Under the Hague Convention of 1907, section XIII, Article 12, "belligerent ships" could enter a neutral port but were forbidden from remaining there for "more than twenty-four hours." At the insistence of Germany, the Estonian military authorities boarded the ship, interned the crew, confiscated all the navigation aids and maps, and commenced removing all her armaments. However, only fifteen of her twenty torpedoes were removed before the hoist cable parted; this was because it had been secretly sabotaged by her new commander, former chief officer, Lieutenant Jan Grudzinski. The crew of Orzeł conspired together to carry out a daring escape. Orzel escaped from Tallinn with two Estonian guards on board as hostages. The Estonian and German press covering the Orzeł incident declared the two captured guards missing at sea. Grudzinski set them ashore in Sweden, providing them with clothing, money, and food for their safe return to homeland. The Polish crew believed that those returning from the underworld "deserve to travel first class only". The escape of the submarine Orzeł was used by the Soviet Union and Germany to challenge Estonian neutrality. Provocation of the USSR Escape "Orzeł" from Tallinn provoked a violent reaction of the USSR. Efforts have been diplomatic, accusing Poland of Estonians to encourage and to facilitate the escape of the ship. Then it was announced that an unidentified submarine on September 27, torpedoed and sank the Soviet ship "Metallist", resulting in the killing 5 crew members. And on Sept. 28 was to take place again, a failed attack on the ship "Pioneer". As a result of these attacks, the Soviet Union decided that Estonia is not enough on its own to protect its territorial waters and led to Estonia own fleet. The incident of the "Orzeł " was one of the pretexts to take Estonia. Service alongside the British: After a refit, Orzeł was assigned to the Royal Navy's 2nd Submarine Flotilla, and was assigned to patrol missions. Shortly after noon on 8 April 1940 she sank the 5,261 ton clandestine German troop transport Rio de Janeiro off the small harbour village of Lillesand in southern Norway, killing hundreds of German troops intended for the invasion of Norway. Rio de Janeiro was heading to Bergen in order to take part in the initial landings of Operation Weserübung - the invasion of Norway and opening move of the Norwegian Campaign. Two days later Orzeł fired torpedo at a German minesweeper; however, she was forced to dive before the sinking of the German ship could be confirmed. Mystery Loss: May 23, 1940: at 11 pm "Orzeł " came out on another patrol the North Sea. However, little information is available about the activities of the ship at the time of the trip. Directed to the area west from the mouth of the Skagerrak - somewhere between the east coast of Scotland and the south coast of Norway ( closer to the latter ) - " Orzeł " probably was in his patrol designated sectors May 25. About the fate of the ship , nothing is known . On 1 June at 15.06 the radio base gave orders ship crossing after sunset to an adjacent sector . 2 June at 10.02, was given the order in which the " Orzeł " was assigned from June 4 new patrol area . It was close to the outlet of the Skagerrak to the North Sea , in a straight line 120 nautical miles south of the Norwegian port of Egersund and 70 miles west of the coast of Denmark , at the height of Aalborg . The next day at 16.03 has been given from the base of Rosyth next order for " Orzeł " , recommended on June 6 at 22.00 complete patrol and take a course back to base. The term coming to Rosyth scheduled for June 8 in the morning. She , however, did not appear at the appointed time , nor gave the signal delay caused explanatory . On this day at 12.12 noon from Rosyth was given another command to inquire about the current position of the " Orzeł " . This order , however, remained , like all previous ones, without answers General Characteristic: Displacement: 1,110, surfaced 1,473, submerged Length: 84.00 m (275 ft 7 in) Beam: 6.7 m (22 ft 0 in) Draft: 4.17 m (13 ft 8 in) Speed: 19.4 knots (35.9 km/h; 22.3 mph), surfaced 9.0 knots (17 km/h/10 mph), submerged Complement: 60 Armament: 1 × Bofors wz.25 105 mm (4.1 in) gun 1 × double Bofors wz.36 40 mm (1.6 in) AA gun 1 × Hotchkiss 13.2 mm (0.52 in)HMG 12 × 533 mm (21.0 in) / 550 mm (22 in) torpedo launchers (4 aft, 4 rudder, 4 waist) 20 torpedoes
