  1. 0.7.2 FPS Drop fix

    Commanders, Following your feedback about players experiencing FPS drops since the recent update we’ve been hard at work trying to isolate the issue and produce a fix. We now believe it is being caused by a bug in a system which is responsible for refreshing low-level UI objects. The bug manifests after a certain number of battles have been played in succession, with the number depending on the characteristics of the system the game is running on. We’re now testing a fix for this issue internally and have also deployed that fix on the 0.7.3 Public Test server. For those of you most affected and who would like to help verify the effectiveness of this tix, we are also releasing it in the form of a mod for the current production version of the game client ( However, it requires that your client is free from any other modifications, as their presence can interfere with its operation and provide misleading data for us about the effectiveness of the fix. Here are the instructions on how to install it: Depending on test results from the 0.7.3 Public Test server and the feedback from players who chose to install the fix-mod we will make a decision on how to proceed further with this fix and when to deploy it to production servers should the test prove successful. We hope this test will be a success and that the fix produced will get rid of these recent FPS drops for affected users. We’re sorry for the inconvenience this has caused our players.     Hry guus I have a pretty low laptop, I was wondering what happens if I switch between dx9 and 11. I am currently in 11' Will switching to Directx 9 increase fps?
  3. Hallo Wollte mal fragen ob auch jemand anderes eine Verschlechterung der Spielperformance festgestellt hat oder ob dies ein Problem meinerseits ist. Lade und Reaktionszeit des Spiels hat sich verschlechtert (Zeit vom Warten aufs Match ,Match wurde gefunden ,bis zum ich sehe mein Schiff ). Heute gehabt das ich nach dem Match in den Hafen zurück gekommen bin und nur den Hintergrund hatte (also ohne Schiff und Karussell) . Stottern beim Match start. Hardware ist gtx 1060 6gb Intel 8700k Stock Installation des Games auf einer SSD (nicht voll belegt) Game wurde schon neu Installiert . Grafik Settings sind die vom Game nach der Neuinstallation eingestellten. Habe das Problem seit ca 4 Wochen. Immer einen handbreit Wasser unterm Kiel Pattr
  4. Game unplayable please help

    So I'll try to keep this short. Since I got back to WoWS I've had this issue. The game keeps freezing. It runs at 80 - 100 FPS on average but I'm getting a lot of freezes. The first battle is usually OK, although there are some FPS drops, but games after that... unplayable. My game freezes for a couple of seconds like every 5 seconds, making me unable to shoot, steer, or basically do anything. The weird thing is that this also affects WoT, but no other games. Only these two WG games. First I thought it was because I was using the WG Game Center, which was supposed to cause it, but I uninstalled it and reinstalled WoWS using the old way, without the Game Center. Nothing has changed. My drivers are up to date. I tried monitoring my GPU and CPU usage using MSI Afterburner (I don't overclock, just using it for monitoring), but there was no evidence of a hardware failure (a.k.a the graph didn't change at times of the freezes). If this was a problem with my PC, it would surely affect my other games as well. But they run just fine. There must be something with Wargaming games that's causing it. I really don't know what to do. I wanted to do the Oct. revolution event but I can't. Please help.
  5. Gameplay stuttering

    Hello fellow Captains, I hope that I'm posting this in the right place? Moderators please feel to move if I haven't. Since the last couple of updates I've started experiencing frequent gameplay stuttering. To explain what I mean, I've uploaded a video to my YouTube channel with examples at 5, 15 and 28 seconds in; please see below: This has only started happening since the update before last and is starting to really ruin the game for me. Is anyone experiencing this or is it just me? I'm reasonably confident that it's not my hardware, however, my current OS is Windows 10 Creators Update and after doing a bit of research I'm not sure if the issue I'm experiencing is linked to this known issue with the current release. If anyone has experienced this and been able to rectify it and I'd love to hear from you. Likewise, if Wargaming Support read this and are able to offer any help that would be very much appreciated.   6. Struggling with the game

    I'm struggling with the game on multiple fronts. have something like 1200 battles and i thought i got the grip of the game mechanics. despite that, my winrate goes down continuously. I understand I'm far from best player but I'm not able to leverage all the knowledge and study (understand youtube) into becoming better player. really don't know what's behind and don't want to go for cheap excuses but.... i play mostly cruisers and destroyers as i find BB play dumb and hollow with incredibly low skillcap and blessed with rng providing entertainment (understand cruiser citadels and DD penetrations) to masses. Due to terrible CV-AA balance, its always one-sided and since the CV can always chose their terms, many players abuse this to get 80%+ winrates in CV accounts only *Edited So it gets to Cruisers and DDs. While in DD i can feel i can influence the game, it is very risky and sudden losing streak caused by game balancing features like radar or CV focus can bury my motivation for whole evening. In cruisers, it is much safer, but again, sudden scattered BB AP or CV focusing you because they can, doesn't add to the fun. I don't have all-time map awareness, which I'm completely positive about (like i can read the map but when soddenly things heat, i start to tunnel vision and get into shitt easily) but besides that i just cant see any bigger area (like objectives, place on map, aiming, angling etcetc) where to get better as i already reached that and wont get any better as I'm now. I'm contemplating to uninstall the game where choice of the class determines how successful you are in game and if you play riskier ones, you are not rewarded, rather demotivated. I used last offer+coupon to get Indianapolis very cheap and i had real fun but i just realized, no matter how good i perform, I'm always struggling with previous + i think the playerbase is very challenged in their abilities to play the game well as team oriented effort with everything which you must do to win (not just get big numbers and lose) really don't know what to do...

    Hello I am currently thinking about upgrading to Ryzen from my i5 3570k and I was wondering how well does Ryzen preform in this game as this is one of my most played games on my pc. I am looking at the R7 1700 or the R5 1600. My GPU is a GTX 1070.

Hallöchen Allerseits, nach einigem hin und her probieren wie ich aus meinem leistungsschwachen System n bissl mehr rauskitzeln kann und keine nennenswerten Ruckler mehr habe musste ich einfach die ganzen Sounds disablen, kann das sein das die benötigten sounds für ein gefecht nur bei Bedarf von der Festplatte abgerufen werden und nicht vorher in den Arbeitsspeicher wandern vor einem laufenden Gefecht ? Weil Internetradio + Spielsounds disabled und es läuft Ich hab nur ab und an noch ruckler wenn ich Geschützsalven raushaue die ich noch nicht in der laufenden Session benutzt habe System Windows 10 i5 - 2520m Intel Hd 3000 4 gb ram Grüße Alanor_Silverstrife
  9. Hallo liebe Community, ich habe eine Frage bezüglich zur Erweiterung meines aktuellen System! Zur Zeit nutze ich einen AMD FX-4100. Dieser läuft stabil mit einem Takt von ~4,4 Ghz. Mein Mainboard ist ein Asus M5A78L LE (Im Netz schon viel schlechtes gelesen bzgl angeblicher Spawa Überhitzung aber bis jetzt hatte ich wohl noch keine Probleme). Meine Grafikkarte ist eine Palit Geforce GTX 750 1GB GDDR5 die ich per MSI Afterburner schon ein wenig übertaktet habe. (Im 3D Benchmark Sky Diver etwa 600 Punkte Zuwachs). Zur Zeit nutze ich 8GB Ram von Gskill Sniper 1866. Weitere 8GB sind bestellt und komme hier bald an. Den RAM habe ich aufgestockt,weil ich mit 4GB gestartet habe und extreme Lags ingame hatte und gerade einmal auf mittleren Settings spielen konnte. Als Lüfter kommt bei mir ein ganz alter Gigaybyte Lüfter zum Einsatz aus dem Jahr 2005. Den habe ich für Sage und schreibe 1 Euro auf Ebay ersteigert. Modell G-Power Cooler BL (GH-PDU21-SC). Das Teil ist zwar ziemlich laut und dreht immer auf 2000Rpm,da keine Lüftersteurung angeschlossen ist,aber das stört mich nicht weiter. Er verrichtet sein Dienst wohl ganz gut. Als Netzteil kommt ein 650W Sunflower zum Einsatz. World of Warships spiele ich nun auf der Grafikeinstellung Hoch. Auflösung zwischen 1600*900 oder 1920*1080. Bin mir gerade nicht sicher. Gebe später noch die genauen Settings an. Meine Frames würde ich durchschnittlich bei 55Fps beschrieben. Sie gehen teilweise hoch auf 70,fallen aber auch mal auf 30. Spiele aber überwiegend ohne Lags. Das ist mir auch wichtig, weil es sonst nervig wäre. Jetzt zu meiner eigentlichen Frage an euch. Ich überlege zur Zeit ob es Sinn macht, auf einen 8 Kerne Prozessor umzusteigen, wenn ich diesen günstig, gebraucht erwerben kann. Ich denke da an einen FX-8350,FX-8370 oder FX-8370E. Ich lese im Netz vieles und bin mir nicht sicher, woran ich glauben soll oder nicht. Mir geht es nicht darum, mit meinem System irgendwelche Preise bzgl. der Leistung einzufahren oder Weltrekorde zu brechen. Mein System ist ein absolutes! Low Budget System (Round about 300 Euro),welches nur aus gebrauchten,günstig erworbenen Komponenten besteht. Da ich Schüler bin und von Bafög lebe, kann ich nicht mal eben 700 Euro in neue Hardware investieren. Also macht es Sinn, sich noch einen AMD FX 8 Kerner günstig zu ersteigern ? Bringt mir das Perfomance boost ? Wenn ja, inwiefern äußert sich dieser ? Dieser 8 Kerner wäre das maximum welches ich an Power auf dem Board erreichen könnte (AM3+). Laut Asus unterstützt das Board diese 8er CPUs. Diese 8 Kerner würde ich langsam übertakten und versuchen das maximum rauszuholen. Das ganze System würde ich dann vll. noch mit einer neueren,besseren gebrauchten Graka bestücken. Würde das Upgrade auf 8 Kerne also Sinn machen und den PC so noch etwas am "Leben" halten,was die Perfomance betrifft ?   10. Massive performance issues

    I have some pretty bad performance issue in this game for no reasons, it used to run just fine on the highest settings before but its only lately that its started doing this after the recent updates. Performance is awful and mostly in the 20 - 30 fps range with horrible stuttering even at the lowest settings possible it does this. I reinstalled the game multiple times to no avail and I tried various Radeon Crimson drivers but its definitely not a driver problem, the game also seems to only use 10 - 15% of my 8 CPU threads which is strange. At the moment its completely unplayable however World of Tanks works just fine and that runs on the same game engine. My specs: AMD Raden R9 M290X 4GB (Crimson 16.2) Intel Core i7-3940XM 32GB DDR3L Game on 960GB SSD Windows 8.1 Pro x64
  11. [Suggestion] Alternative damage display

    Dear fellow captains, As the title already indicated I am looking at alternative ways of determining / displaying captain, class and ship performance. One of the most cited data to compare captains, ships and classes is average damage: "Yada yada ... class Y does more average damage than class Z." "Yada yada ... ship Y does more average damage than ship Z." "Yada yada ... player Y does more average damage than player Z." However if looking closely average damage is a very imperfect figure for measuring performance due to the simple fact that ship HP are not the same in between ships and classes, so average damage is very much dependent on the ships and classes that are fought. For example looking at T10 a DD has approximately 25k HP (rounded up a bit for ease of figures) and a BB approximately 100k HP (also rounded a bit and not including heals). This means that every point of damage done to a DD is worth approximately 4 points of damage done to a BB (and even more if accounting for heals). So two ships/classes/captains with entirely the same average damage - lets say 50k each game on T10 - could have a very different influence on their individual battles. One ship/class/captain could be actively hunting and killing 2 DD each battle. The other ship/class/captain could be burning half a BBs worth of HP each battle. I therefore propose to enable an alternative display of damage done by use of 'sum of ship percentage points destroyed' which can easily be determined out of the data from the end battle screen the same way as XP is already accounted for. One ship is worth 100 ship percentage points (not counting heals, so BBs and high tier CA may be worth more than 100 percentage points). Again looking at above example, if a ship/class/captain manages to achieve 20k damage on a T10 DD and 30k damage on a T10 BB the total damage will add up to 50k and total ship percentage points destroyed will add up to (20/25 + 30/100)*100% = 110%. If same ship/class/captain manages 70k on the T10 BB next game but completely misses to damage the T10 DD the total damage figure will be higher by 20K, but the total ship percentage points destroyed will just be 70%. What do you think? Tl;dr: Average damage is not telling the whole story, so use average damage done *and* average ship percentage points destroyed to better determine if a ship/class/captain is over- or underperforming.
  12. Just another IJN DD rant

    It has been a while now since the IJN DDs got their split and I thought it would be a good time to talk about my fellings about them in a pretty lengthy post. After having played them all pre and post split, I want to present my opinion on what their flaws are and why I still think that they need to be buffed. First of all let's look at some statistics. If you check the winrates and average experience of all DDs from T6 to T10 you will find an IJN DD at the bottom. So it's not just one or two ships underperforming, it's an entire line of ships. However there are some exceptions: the T6 Shinonome (premium; reward for advanced players with high tier ships -> understandibly outperforms everything at T6) and the destroyers of the new subbranch. I wont talk much about Akizuki because she plays completely different to all other IJN DDs (very gun focused; big, slow and sluggish). The two Ships leading up to the Akizuki are interesting though. The Hatsuharu is performing ok at T6 and better than Fubuki. But the most outstanding ship is the Shiratsuyu at T7 which is currently the best (statisticaly speaking) DD for its tier. One reason for this is probably the fact that the line spit is still too recent and mostly dedicated players with some experience in IJN DDs are currently grinding towards the Akizuki. This however does not explain the huge difference between Akatsuki and Shiratsuyu at Tier 7 (we are speaking of a 6% difference in winrate and about 50% more experience and damage for Shiratsuyu). Looking a bit more into the stats of these two Ships you can get a bit confused. Akatsuki is the same in terms of her gun and torpedo performence while having one extra gun, 4 knots higher top speed and an extra torpedo tube with a more favourable launcher setup (3x3 vs 2x4) therefore having a 25% better reload speed on those tubes. Ignoring some very minor differences in HP and range the only things Shiratsuyu has going for her are a bit better maneuverability and massively better concealment. In addition to this Shiratsuyu has the torpedo reload booster consumable on a seperate slot which reduces the torpedo reload to 5 seconds once every 6 minutes (4 with premium). Her output of torpedoes over 10 minutes even with using the consumable is lower than Akatsukis. In practice and my personal experience these two advantages of Shiratsuyu are crucial to her success. The concealment advantage over any other ship at T7 is huge (we are talking about nearly a kilometer here) so you can dictate a combat with another destroyer by engaging only in favourable fights and sneak up an your main target (enemy BBs) very easily. The second advantage is your torpedo reload booster. If this consumable is ready you basicly have a 4x4 torpedo setup (yes, this is one more torpedo than a Shimakaze) and you can freely engage multible targets at once. Need to lay a big torpedo wall for area denial? No problem. Fire your torps at two or even three different targets in different directions? No problem. Steaming around a corner into the face of an enemy BB and your torps are still on a 40 second cooldown? Just press one button and you are good to go. Remember however that this will not give you an insane output of torps. The real advantage of this consumable is flexibility. So keep these two important advantages in mind for later: concealment and torpedo flexibility. Secondly, I will take a look and directly compaire two high tier DDs to understand the flaws of especially T8 to T10 where I feel IJN DDs are struggeling the most right now. The destroyers that come to mind are the Yuugumo and the USS Fletscher at tier 9. Covering the basics first, Fletcher has the egde in HP, speed and maneuverability while Yuugumo has better concealment. All of these values are however not too different and you could say they are pretty on par. Looking at the guns you immediately see a massive advantage for the Fletcher: 50% more rounds per minute and astronomicly better turret traverse and much more range. HE and AP performence are similar with the Yuugumo having better fire chance and better shell arcs. Overall however the Fletcher just outclasses the Yuugumo in a direct gun duel with much more dpm and even against other ship types Fletcher outperforms Yuugumo in gun capability. And that is not a problem at all. The role of USN DDs is fighting over caps in close quarters combat with other DDs and their toolkit is perfect for this task (stealthy, maneuverable, insane dpm and turret traverse). They can also aid their team with long lasting smokes and long range fire support. The real problem arises if you look at the torpedoes: Speed and range are nearly identical. The Yuugumo torps deal about 10% more damage, but the Fletcher beats the Yuugumo in reload (only a few seconds) while having more torps (2x5 vs 2x4) and one realy important stat: torpedo detectability (1.4km vs 1.7km). I would argue that dealing 10% more damage per torpedo is realy not a big deal at all and gets already accounted for by reloading a bit faster and having more torps to fire. Which leaves the detectibility as the one factor that puts Fletchers torpedo armament above the Yuugumos. But I hear you saying: "Fletcher is one of the best DDs in the game, of course it's overall better than a Yuugumo". Yes, I agree with that. But the fact remains that a USN DD is beating the IJNs speciality. And it's not only the Fletcher. Look at the Z-46, which has massively less damage on its torps (14400 vs 20967), but also reloads his tubes 22 seconds (ca. 20%) faster than Yuugumo while having the same speed and range. The detectability difference is the same as with the Fletcher. So overall you are looking at pretty compairable torpedo armaments while Z-46 still has 50% more shells per minute. And german DDs don't have a good reputation at the moment. We can take this as an example of what the high tier IJN DDs are suffering from. On lower tiers IJN have the best torpedo armament by far. While the USN DDs have kind of crappy range and speed, the Russians have their suicide torpedoes and the Germans are looking pretty good, the IJN DDs already have the capacility to stealth torp with relative ease and good speed. Going up to the higher tiers however, the other nations close the cap in terms of torpedo performence and are overall mostly on par or only a little behind the Japanese. On the other hand the cap in gun performence is still the same. To summerize what we need to keep in mind: lack of speciality at higher tiers and the detectability issue. The Split of the line itself brought some "interesting" changes as well. IJN DDs got better rate of fire while loosing their big alpha damage and fire chance on their HE ammunition. Overall these changes pretty much compensated each other and resulted in only small nerfs or buffs. At least on paper. The higher alpha damage was an advantage when taking shots of opportunity or at getting the jump on an enemy DD undetected. It was some kind of national flavor that got lost with the changes. Overall however by moving some ships down in tier WG mostly replaced ships with better ones. The Akatsuki and Shiratsuyu are definitivly improvements over the old Hastuharu and the same can be said about the Yuugumo replacing the Kagerou. Nevertheless when looking at the current statistics of the new ships we dont see any improvements over the old ones. They are mostly performing on a similar level as before. We can try to explain this by looking and the game in general: There are so much things that have changed over the last year, most of which made the life of destroyers harder. Let me try to explain to anyone who was not part of the closed beta what I mean with that. The Shimakaze for exaple was just a godlike ship. Sailing around the map undetected with the best speed of any ship at the time while launching waves of 15 torpedoes with 20 km range and good concealment on them was hilarious. You would regularly get games with over 100k damage and nobody on the enemy team ever saw you once. It was super easy and totally op and nobody with any sanity wants this back in the game. WG did the right thing and nerfed the Shimakaze. But with the game developing more and more, the Shima and every other IJN DD in the game got slowly but surely indirectly nerfed. Back in the day only aircraft and ships themseves were spotting your torps. Nowadays there is hydro on any number of ships especially since the introduction of the Kriegsmarine and since the captain skills got changed there are much more aircraft floating around. But not only is torpedo play increasingly difficult, your ship itself is in more danger of being sunk. Russian cruisers brought radar in the game and their destroyers are lightning fast with massive firepower. Last but not least RPF made it into the game and while not gamebreaking, it made destroyer life harder. So the meta changed so much that DDs got a harder time staying alive and torpedoes where made less of threat. But IJN DDs did not change and are in a bad state for some time now. Before I state some possible changes that I would suggest to improve the state of IJN DDs, I have some final thoughts. First of all I still like IJN DDs. The torpedo focused playstyle is enjoying for me because it involves so much predicting to be done. Where will all the ships around me be in a minute when my torps are reloaded? Were should I go to be save from enemies but still habe a good ambush position? I understand that WoWs is an arcade game, but why on earth is radar going through islands? I also get that balance is more important than historical facts, but the Japanese used oxygen in their torpedoes because that ensured better range, speed and decetability than the usual torpedo has. Why is every IJN torpedo in the game more visible than any other torpedo? Which bringst me to the final point of my rant: suggestions for improvement of IJN DDs: We learned by looking at different things what makes IJN DDs strong: A good concealment advantage over other DDs and a flexible torpedo armament that outperformes any other nation. They suffer however in exactly that regard by having too large detection ranges on their torpedoes and the fact, that high tier IJN DDs dont excell in their role that much. Shimakazes get outspottet by Fletchers and Gearings (same camo), Yuugumo has not the best torps at T9, etc. Therefore some possible ways to adress these issues are: reduce the detectability of all IJN torpedoes to the same level of other nations make their torpedoes faster than other nations or longer range (high tier; last one is not good for the game) improve their concealment on the ships themself to give them the edge they need over other DDs improve their gun performence by giving them back their old shells and/or better turret traverse (not my prefered approach) give all IJN DDs access to the reload booster consumable in a seperate slot (with rebalancing it, not just a 5 second reload, that would be op; more in the lines of cutting the reload in half once every 5 minutes or so) It just needs one of these things (NOT ALL) to give the IJN DDs back their pride as the pinackle of torpedo ninjas.   13. Hi guys, I have performance issue - FPS drops on Two Brothers map, when my field of view is targeting against those islands. When I turn my view to other part of map, my FPS is back on max 75. I doubt this should be problem of the Fury card, I have animate small objects settings active and I suspect some eastern egg polygon (there was once in WOT several million polygon object on map Himmlesdorf or so in one building - all testers had serious perf. issues. I bet there is something like in these 2 islands in the center. Can be this confirmed by other AMD cards owners?

    This thread is not what it seems So I have been playing ranked lately, and thought that it might be good to share notes and compare how we set up and flag our ships. I always try to mount every flag that I think could possibly be useful as possible to the team to make sure I gain as many stars as I can and lose as few as I conceivably could. That being said, here are the flags I mount for the ships I would take. I don't have all these ships obviously, but I do have quite a good idea when it comes to how they perform and I have at least tested them out on the public test server. So here are my flag setups and why I do/would pick them: Carriers Cruisers Battleships Destroyers Those would be my choices anyways. What are yours?

After that option that WG dev's developeted on the patch that we could chose to reinstal/redownload the game for a better compressed game files and such, since then the game been instaled alot slower than before and its quite frustrating to see my Disc memory usage go into 100% and i cant do nothing till the instal are done. This happens in every update WoWs does, regarless the size of it, it simple eats up disc memory and makes me unable to do anything at my PC till its done. Yes when that update came i toke the option to unistal and reinstal FRESH to gain those benefits that WG was talking about, though now is kinda backwards? Have not reported this sooner in though that they would noticed and probably do something about it, but a while alredy passed and its RLY getting frustrating, sup with the Disc usage when we instaling or patching a 80 mb or 100 mb updates? seriously... if it where 5Gb or 10 or 25 Gb, okay i did understand the memory usage but 80 or 100 mbs and get my disc usage to 100%? Rly? This been happening to me, not sure about the rest of the population, also theres a Screenshot of my PC spec's, with natural aint the best but its enough. Also let me point this out, its only in this game that this is happening, but yes if you have suggestion's to how fix this issue and such let me know, i am all hears.
  17. Disaster at every corner

    In the past few days while playing my North Carolina I've encountered some pretty rubbish teams. Man, I have done everything: base capping, soaking up damage (pointing the front at enemies at 1/4 speed), destroying cruisers and DDs in addition to bruising battleships, blowing up planes with my 90AA score. I have no idea what to do better! I've been in the top 3 for most of the matches and out of about 15 matches in the past 2 days i've only won 3. The players in my team play worse than AIs and it is very frustating: they show broadsides, brawler BBs snipe, DDs get beached on islands, CVs lose all their planes.. Please tell me about your struggles, or your success..
  18. Low CPU usage after the patch! Nice!

    I unistaled and delete the remaining files, then fresh instaled the game, though dunno if is related before this game was eating around 70%-80% CPU usage now it down to 35% or 40% with is QUITE good. I Veary happy about it, dunno if is intended or not but i greatly notice the reduce of the cpu and i am gratefull, this realy was a nice update, apart from the bad stuff that ppl are moaning about. So good job Dev in this section of performance, much appreciated. Ps- Bellow 2 screenshots 1 is performance from CPU in % and my system spec(with they aint great).
  19. Admittedly, I have an old PC (Core 2 quad, 5870, 6GB ram), but loading times where just atrocious with non stop harddisk activity. Id nearly always join well after the battle had started. So I finally moved everything to an SSD, which mostly solves the problem, but copying the game from hdd to ssd also showed the root cause; the WoW folder contained no less than 230 thousand files! Thats rougly 5x more than all the other applications installed on that PC combined. Just copying the folder took over an hour with transfer speeds dropping as low as a few 100Kb/s. There is nothing wrong with my harddrive ,its not even badly fragmented, and the ssd is new and perfectly fine, its just the OS filesystem overhead of so many tiny files. I realize these days most people use an SSD, but surely it cant be hard to optimize the game just a tiny bit better for harddrive users? As it happens, I have a relatively fast harddrive, I pity anyone trying this on a laptop drive.
  20. Folgende Anleitung funktioniert nur für nVidia-GPUs und sollte auch nur auf Karten ab einer GTX 970, 970M, Titan oder vergleichbar starken Chipsets verwendet werden. Ab einer GTX 970M aufwärts bleiben eure FPS bei ca. 45-50 in HD-Auflösung. Mit schwächeren Karten wird die Performance mangels Speicherbandbreite leider massivst einbrechen. Das Ergebnis wird so aussehen und insbesondere die flackernden Seile gehören der Vergangenheit an: Wichtig, bitte beachtet EXAKT nachfolgende Schritte und experimentiert möglichst nicht mit eigenen Werten - außer ihr wisst, was ihr tut. 1. Neuesten nVidia Treiber laden: http://www.nvidia.de 2. nVidia Inspector hier laden und entpacken (keine Installation erforderlich): http://www.pcgameshardware.de/Nvidia-Geforce-Grafikkarte-255598/Downloads/Nvidia-Inspector-Download-796769/ 3. Spiel starten, Grafikeinstellung auf folgende Werte setzen und anschließend World of Warships wieder beenden: ("Vollbildmodus" kann gesetzt werden, wenn gewünscht) 4. nVidia Inspector starten 5. In der Zeile "Driver Version" auf das Symbol "Driver Profile Settings" rechts klicken. 6. Oben im Fenster bei "Profiles" im Dropdown-Menü das Profil "World of Warships" auswählen. 7. Hier jetzt folgende Werte setzen: - Antialiasing compatibility (DX1x): 0x404012C1 - Antialiasing compatibility: 0x404012C1 ... - Vertical Sync Tear Control: Adaptive - Vertical Sync: Force on ... - Antialiasing - Behavior Flags: None (Achtung! Wert "None" setzen, nicht freilassen!) ... - Antialiasing - Mode: Override any application setting - Antialiasing - Setting: 8x [8x CSAA (4 color + 4 cv samples)] ... - Antialiasing - Transparency Supersampling: 4x Sparse Grid Supersampling ... - Anisotropic filtering mode: User-defined / Off - Anisotropic filtering setting: 8x (wahlweise bei extrem starken Grafikkarten: 16x) ... ... - Texture filtering LOD Bias (DX): -0.8750 - Texture filtering LOD Bias (OGL): -0.8750 8. Click auf "Apply changes" (rechts oben) 9. Fenster schließen 10. nVidia Inspector schließen. Dieser kann auch wieder gelöscht werden, da er nur zum Editieren des Profils im Treiber gebraucht wird. 11. World of Warships starten und Ultra-High-Quality-Grafik genießen. (12. Das Profil "World of Warships" nicht in den nVidia-Systemeinstellungen des Treibers (unter "3D-Einstellungen verwalten") verändern! Einige Werte könnt ihr dort nämlich nicht mehr setzen, sobald ihr diese auswählt und versucht zu speichern müsst ihr alle Schritte von vorn beginnen.) Im Anhang die Screenshots zu den o.g. Profil-Einstellungen im Inspector zur besseren Illustration.
  21. did they do a ninja minor update to the game recently, or something has changed ?? the game always ran smoothly for me at 50/60 FPS constant for the last 2 weeks. then, since yesterday... very unstable between 20/40 FPS, with occasionnal slug down to 10, without obvious reason (it happens just when randomly sailing, not even when lots of explosions or anything) i haven't changed anything in my graphics option, nor did i change anything with my grahics card or install any new programs recently... i have Alienware M17XR4 with GTX 680M , so come on! should be plenty to run tis game right ? (and it did since yesterday) any ideas ?
  22. Since the most recent update to World of Warships I have been experiencing horrendous audio and frame stutter in places in game. (Most notably on the login screen.) As well as absolutely horrid de-sync between myself and the servers when in game, making battles literally unplayable. Strangely enough, I don't think this is an internet issue. When playing (On EUW) I tend to get no higher than 50 ping, minimum of 60fps and very rarely do I get "lag spikes." Also never have this type of issue on other games (I play CS:GO a lot and its really noticeable when I'm lagging due to my internet) Despite this my de-sync is absolutely awful, with ships sometimes being a ships length away than where they are shown on my screen. As a result I have tried reinstalling the game, and updating audio and video card drivers, but to no avail. PC Specs for anyone who is interested/thinks they may be relevant: OS: Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64Bit CPU: AMD FX-6300 (6 cores clocked at 3.5GHz) Motherboard: ASUS M5A78L-M GPU: AMD Radeon R9 270X 4GB edition RAM: 16GB DDR3 1600MHz As you can see from my specs I really don't think this a performance issue either, as stated earlier I get 60fps in game on high settings despite the de-sync. Anyone got any suggestions or potential solutions?
  23. Foliage causes the game to freeze

    So, a fair number of people reported this in several threads all over the forum, but I thought a dedicated thread would be important and apreciated, and might draw attention to the problem. The foliage option in the public test currently causes the game to completly freeze the moment you zoom in, and sometimes even without zooming at all. Turning it off the game runs smooth on highest settings, but zoom in with foliage set on low and everything else on medium -> game crashes. System in my case is So far all people who complained about it that I saw listing specs (3 at best) had AMD graphic cards, iirc. I hope this can be fixed, game looks a lot better with the foliage.
  24. Match Maker

    I've played 538 battles, so far, during the open beta test. During that time I've inflicted 14,345,940 damage (26,665 per match average) and sunk 415 enemy ships (while shooting down over 500 aircraft). I've been sunk 406 times, which gives a ratio of 1.02/1 in my favour. I own every premium ship available, apart from Warspite and the two pre-order destroyers, some of which have favourable match making. Despite this I only have a winning ratio of 42.5%. What do Wargaming think is wrong with the match maker, that it produces such an aberration? Surely even inactive bots should hover around 50% win rate after such a large sample of games? I welcome the plans to match aircraft carriers strictly to their equals, and the introduction of ranked battles also seems a good idea, but I think there is something fundamentally wrong with the match maker at a deeper level. Surely after more than 500 battles, and generally above average performances, my win ratio should at least be on the positive side of 50%; 500+ battles must be more than enough for any anomalies in the MM system to have off-set each other. So what's actually wrong? I think this is a great game, but I fear that it may ultimately be ruined unless Wargaming address this fundamental issue ASAP. Thanks and enjoy!
  25. more frames per second; better performance

    Hey guys, I have question. Will WG improve the graphical performance of the game in the future or not? I'm playing currently on my laptop and only get fps around 15 -35, but very inconsistent. I set the ingame graphics on low and the resolution to 1366x768 on a 1920x1080 laptop. FYI games like 7 Days to day or Battlefield 4 are running smooth with 60 fps and medium to high settings. GPU is a GeForce GTX 760M with the latest drivers. Best Regards R_N edit: Oh, and yes, the game is running on the GPU and not the Intel graphic-chip.
