  1. Norwegian clan [TROLL] is recruiting active team players. As this is a norwegian recruitment thread I choose to do the requirement/wish list in norwegian: Heisann. Du finner oss HER. * Svar i denne tråden, evt send PM her eller ingame ved interesse/spørsmål. Søker du ingame uten å gi lyd fra deg i samme slengen blir du fort oversett. Ta en sniktitt på oss i Troll. Hello. TROLL is seeking more members. * You have preferably played more than 3k battles * You have a win rate that pretty much matches the average win rate in the clan. Currently the win rate is around 55% * You are a team player. The activity consists of typically evenings/weekends where we play divisions while we communicate on discord. Without taking it too serious, but serious enough to win :-) * You are a grown person, mentally speaking :-) The majority of members are past the teenager stage quite some years ago. * We are a mixed bunch of old tankers from the TROLL-clans in WOT, and some that hasn`t been playing WOT at all. * We want to play in a team, divisions, while we communicate. Not like "CW" from WOT and that kind of stress. However, we want to get to known to the Clan Battle function, get comfortable with that, without getttig the feeling of getting nagged and stressed about participating. * The clan functions that reduce repair cost, research cost, expands the clan size etc has been maxed. * We require that our members talk to each others every now and then, otherwise there is no point in being in a clan. * See you on discord, you`ll find us HERE. Have a sneak peek at the members of TROLL Mvh (Cheers), Lorthoinn

    Norway WW2 Cruiser Frøya

The minelayer HNoMS Frøya was built for the Royal Norwegian Navy by the naval shipyard in Horten during World War I, with yard number 108. A fast ship for her time, she was kept in service until the German invasion of Norway in 1940. At some point between her commissioning and 1940, a 76 mm gun was added to her armaments. Frøya was the first purpose-built minelayer commissioned into the RNoN. At the time the Germans invaded Norway, Frøya was underway from Finnmark to Horten naval base in the Oslofjord, and on 8 April she anchored at Brekstad harbour at Ørland at the mouth of the Trondheimsfjord. Due to bad weather Captain T. Schrøder-Nielsen was reluctant to cross Hustadvika bay on with the ship's full load of mines and had sought shelter at Brekstad overnight. When, on the morning of 9 April, the German assault came, the crew of the Frøya observed the intruding German warships making their way to Trondheim. Trapped in the fjord, the decision was made to move the minelayer into the nearby Stjørnfjord. In the Stjørnfjord Frøya repeatedly came under attack from both land based artillery and Luftwaffe bombers. On 13 April Captain Schrøder-Nielsen decided all hope was lost and, refusing to let his ship fall into German hands, he ordered her scuttled. After removing some equipment and Frøya's load of mines for possible later use the crew of Frøya rammed their ship at great speed ashore at Søtvika, opened the ship's valves and at 12:30 fired explosive charges, demolishing her. Shortly after being scuttled the wreck of Frøya was discovered by Kapitänleutnant Wilhelm Rollmann of the German submarine U-34. As the U-boat captain believed her still to be salvageable for the Norwegians the submarine torpedoed Frøya, blowing the stern off the already wrecked minelayer. Norway WW2 Destroyer Gyller

HNoMS Gyller was a Sleipner-class destroyer commissioned into the Royal Norwegian Navy in 1938. Along with the other Sleipner-class vessels in commission at that time, she took part in protecting Norwegian neutrality during the Second World War. After initially serving in the far north during the Finno-Soviet Winter War, she was redeployed to Southern Norway, escorting ships through Norwegian territorial waters. When the Germans invaded Norway on 9 April 1940, she was docked at Kristiansand. After taking part in the defence of the port city, she was captured intact by the invading Germans. Renamed Löwe, she sailed with Nazi Germany's Kriegsmarine for the duration of the war. Gyller was built at Karljohansvern naval shipyard and had yard number 125. She was launched on 7 July 1938 Gyller had four torpedo tubes, instead of the two which were standard in the rest of her class. 5. HNoMS Norge was a coastal defence ship of the Eidsvold-class in the Royal Norwegian Navy. Built by Armstrong Whitworth at Newcastle on Tyne, she was torpedoed and sunk by German destroyers in Narvik harbour on 9 April 1940. She was Built as part of the general rearmament in the time leading up to the events in 1905, Norge remained, along with her sister-ship Eidsvold, the backbone of the Royal Norwegian Navy for just over 40 years. Norge and Eidsvold were the largest vessels in the Royal Norwegian Navy, displacing 4,233 tons and crewed by 270 men. Both vessels were considered to be quite powerful for their time, with two 21 cm (8.26 inch) guns as their main armament. They were armoured to withstand battle with ships of a similar size, with 6 inches (15.24 cm) of Krupp cementedarmour in the belt and 9 inches (22.86 cm) of the same armour on the two gun turrets.
