    Naval Aviation containers

I think there is something bugged with the containers, the last NINE I have opened are all Fairey Barracuda duplicates, the first two today ?? Fairey Barracuda duplicates again - now 11 in a row of the same duplicate - thats more than chance WG that's a problem. These are not purchased containers - just earned ones.
  4. EDIT, _________________________________________________________ As answered in the thread, the chance for missions was removed, so anyone stumbling upon this thread, you wont get missions from Freedom Containers. My problem was that I watched Youtube videos of these containers being opened, saw each and everyone one get missions with far lesser quantities, they also mentioned the missions themselves was not in the description of the item. So I naturally and completely logically as a new player who as entirely expected did not thoroughly read every patch note before him, got those containers with the expectations to receive the same rewards, I did not, the chance were removed. I'm fully aware that it is far-fetched of me to expect them to have considered this scenario, it was just after all an UNFORTUNATE situation, so I will recommend a small description to be added notifying any future costumers of it. As it so happens I'm a first time costumer in WoWS and hopefully my feedback will be helpful. _________________________________________________________ OP, Hello, I was gifted some $$ by a family member to help boost my start in our World of Warships adventures, among them 25 Freedom containers, few problems, but it's late so I thought I'd turn here for some guidance. It was mentioned to me they should contain a chance at some missions for Ships of various tiers and classes, having nothing better to do this late I opened them. To my dismay as I opened container after container I did not see a single mission. I understood later that I needed to progress my "Level" to use the other items which is fine, but fact remains not a single mission was to be seen in those containers, from my googling adventures it seems they should have a pretty high chance to "drop". So I'm wondering, by opening them at such a low level (level 4) did I inadvertently reduced my chance of getting the missions to zero? All the best Hanikamu

  6. The Zeven Provinciën-class frigates are highly advanced air-defence and command frigates in service with the Koninklijke Marine (Royal Netherlands Navy). This class of ships is also known as LCF (Luchtverdedigings- en commandofregat, air defense and command frigate). The ships are similar to the German Sachsen-class frigates in role and mission. Class overview Operators: Royal Netherlands Navy Preceded by: Tromp-class frigate Cost: €600 million ($816 million) In commission: April 26, 2002 Completed: 4 Active: 4 List of ships F802 De Zeven Provinciën F803 Tromp F804 De Ruyter F805 Evertsen The MS Tromp Anti-air warfare These ships were optimized for the anti-air warfare role. For this role the ships are equipped with an advanced sensor and weapons suite. The primary sensors for this role are the long range surveillance radar SMART-L and the multi-function radar APAR. The SMART-L and APAR are highly complementary, in the sense that SMART-L is a D band radar providing very long range surveillance while APAR is an I band radar providing precise target tracking, a highly capable horizon search capability, and missile guidance using the Interrupted Continuous Wave Illumination (ICWI) technique, thus allowing guidance of 32 semi-active radar homing missiles in flight simultaneously, including 16 in the terminal guidance phase. The primary anti-air weapons are the point defence Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile and the area defence SM-2 Block IIIA. The Mk 41 Vertical Launch System is used to house and launch these missiles. 32 Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile and 32 SM-2 Block IIIA are carried. The Zeven Provincien Ballistic missile defence The Koninklijke Marine is investigating the use of these ships for the role of Ballistic Missile Defence (BMD). During tests carried out by HNLMS Tromp in the Pacific ocean near Hawaii, experimental modifications to the SMART-L to allow even longer range were proven (detailed in the Tromp article). A study by the Koninklijke Marine, the Netherlands Defence Material Organization, Thales Nederland, Raytheon Missile Systems, Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, and Lockheed Martin has been conducted to establish the feasibility of modifying the De Zeven Provinciën class to provide it the capability to intercept ballistic missiles. In particular, the study examined the feasibility of integrating the SM-3 Block IB missile with the SMART-L and APAR radars. The study concluded that - with certain modifications to the SMART-L and APAR, as well as to the ship's Combat Management System and the missile itself - BMD with the De Zeven Provinciën class could be achieved. A contract was awarded for the radar modification in June 2012. The Ruyter Modernizing The De Zeven Provinciën class are very modern. The De Zeven Provinciën-class ships will get the new Smart-L mk2 radar that can detect ballistic missiles at a range of 2,000 km (1,200 mi). The Dutch minister promised also that the APAR radar will have a bigger range than 400 km (250 mi). This is because the Netherlands is the first country that is participating as an active missile shield for NATO. In late 2011, the Ministry of Defence announced a modernization program to upgrade the SMART-L early-warning radar so that De Zeven Provinciën-class frigates can detect and track ballistic missiles at extended range. Although there are no plans to acquire the BDM-capable SM-3 surface-to-air missiles, De Zeven Provinciën-class frigates can pass on the tracking and detection data to other sea-based or land-defense BMD assets, including U.S. Navy’s warships, that can deal with a ballistic missile threat. This modernization program is scheduled for completion by late 2017 for the entire De Zeven Provinciën class. The Evertsen

  12. Submarine Type 212 A U 31 is leaving its home port in Eckernförde. High mobility for operations in shallow and narrow waters with minimal snorkeling times for battery have influenced the construction of the German Ubootklasse 206 A. The development of location technology and the increasing number of Ubootjagdmittel and the extended application required the development of new Ubootgeneration 212 Class A. The submarines of the 212 Class A have a unique hybrid drive in the world. This type of ship is very modern so that it is purchased from all over the world alliance partners. This system has been designed with the intention of submarine inserts over several weeks in duration submerged and largely independently from the outside to allow air supply. The hybrid system is composed of a diesel generator, a traction battery, a fuel cell system and the drive motor. The fuel cell system (BZ), which converts hydrogen and oxygen noise and abgaslos directly into electrical energy, is characterized by high efficiency and low maintenance. Besides the DC falls in energy conversion as the only reaction product of distilled water. Kralj Petar Krešimir IV is the first of a 2-strong class of Croatian Kralj ("King") class missile boats (fast attack craft). It is named after the Croatian king Petar Krešimir IV. It was built in the Kraljevica shipyard in 1991 and commissioned in 1992. It is an upgraded version of the Rade Končar missile boat class and is 8.5 meters longer. Kralj Petar Krešimir IV and its sister ship Kralj Dmitar Zvonimir are the only ships in their class. A potential third ship was under consideration in 1999, but the ship was never commissioned due to budget constraints. HNLMS/RNLN De Ruyter

HNLMS De Zeven Provinciën-Class Light Cruiser Completed for the Royal Netherlands Navy in 1953 as HNLMS De Ruyter (C801) For in the game, I think De Ruyter needs something special (Surveillance radar II) -> 11,7km with a 30 seconds duration. The dutch navy was and still is one of the best radar producers on the world. I see the ship for Tier 7 maybe 8. It has 4x2 152mm main armament, AA is decent. Construction: General characteristics: Some Pictures of the beauty: Will be glad to see this beauty in-game with a new nation :) Greetings,

    Rename New York to Texas

I know that the New York is the namesake of her class, however the model in the game is NOT the New York, it's the Texas. And it's annoying as hell, the name should definitely be changed to Texas.
  19. Ok, I am bored. And as most bored people do when they are bored. They do random crap. World of Warships has a Soundtrack that is in its top class. And half of the enjoyment I get from playing world of warships is from the soundtrack itself. It makes slow paces normally boring battles feel much more intense and actionspacked. And then it's that style of music. something that breathes Epicness into it. And mostly it takes form of orchestral music. But it dosnt have to be pure orchestral. But there is hard to come with such emotional impact that a really well made orchester manage to do. So I'm going through my massive music library of stuff trying to find suitors for such. But since going through my many of my external harddrives a pain in the [edited], I'm going through stockpiles of different Groups i know are capable of making good music that would be fitting in such a naval game like this. Here are so far my list of songs that I've dug up. There are many other good ones, but theese are my personal handpicked ones that I personally find perfectly fitting for a naval battle game. Now many people arent fan of anime and might be discourage seing bunch of random anime girls on the pictures, but if you can ignore those and just enjoy and evaluate the music by itself. And to be completely honest, I only like this specific Touhou series for its music in all honesty. I dunno, something about its music that makes it wide, diverse and very memmorable, and not to mention the endless amount of remixes of all music genres that its been spread into. Now there arent just Touhou orchestral music that i have in totality. But I gotta begin somewhere. I'll be throwing updates for every batch of 10 songs I can find that would fit World of Warships. Following list is sorted out by what i personally imagine type of ships the songs would fit by. So far, here is the first list: DD, CA, BB DD, CA CA BB, CV DD, CV CA, BB, CV (Personal favourite, especially starting at the 1 minute marker) IJN DD, IJN BB (Warning, this one is abit quiet in the beginning, but thats just a intro, so dont turn your volume up more than you normally have it) IJN CA, IJN CV CA, BB DD, CA CA, BB BB Tell me in the comments below if any of them fancied your taste. And do post your own songs that you think would fit straight into a Naval Battle Game.
