Look, Ma, I've posted a replay!1 Posting this in the offtopic section cause it is probably boring af for most of you people (or ridiculous, depending on your angle.) (see what I did there?) Aaaaanyway... https://replayswows.com/replay/19397#stats Driving my brand-spanking new potato MISSOURI, I find myself in this Tier X battle, at the extreme west flank of the Haven map, with an Amagi, a Harekaze DD and a Mogami cruiser on my port side, while most of the rest of the team lemmings east. (As I later discover, this is in fact on the day when Flamu discovered WG has probably broken Missouri's main battery dispersion upgrade in update 7.0.2., which I of course had mounted right from the start as per his recommendations. Supposedly, it feels like it adds 11% dispersion instead of subtracting 11%. And here I am, wondering where my shooting skills have gone. Such as they were.) Faced with both enemy Yamatos, a North Carolina and a Shimakaze DD, I conclude we cannot hold, and decide to cheese it. Despite my warning in chat, Amagi pushes in and dies more or less immediately. (Which is probably what allowed me to escape, losing only about half my health in the turn. So thanks for saving my bacon there, buddy.) Mogami and Shima disengage. From then on, I keep kiting for ages till they finally get me. All but two of my team mates also die but we win on points through capping. But the point of it is, after all of that, after keeping at times up to five of the most dangerous enemy ships tied up through most of the match, chasing just me without achieving much else; after tanking ~2.3 mio potential damage and thus allowing my team to cap again and again; one of these lemmings has the barefaced cheek to call me a "Paypal Missouri". (Which I am, of course ;-) This from a guy who blew his Free XP on a Musashi instead. Jealousy? I am a very bad player and frankly have no business even playing on Tier VIII, let alone Tier X. However, I don't see that anyone could have done fundamentally better in this situation. Maybe cause a bit more damage by better aiming and ship handling (or having reload upgrade mounted instead of broken dispersion upgrade). Maybe live a minute longer at the end there instead of getting bored with all the kiting, and turning vainly on the Chapayev. But not much else.
I really appreciate the Karma and reporting system in WOWS. But I would like it to become more important as a way to improve playing mentality. I would like each player to see their Karma number in their Dock screen so that they are firstly aware that it exists. Moreover, depending on how high or low a players Karma is, the number could for example be coloured accordingly or a different aura / graphic /pin could be seen next to the players name (hopefully something punishing the eye of bad karma players). Surelly it will help as an incentive for people to play better, think more in a team manner, stop being %^&^& and AFK. Yes, system will be abused by salty players, angry people etc. but they will get over it. The caring players out there willl surely appreciate it. I admit it, I check on my Karma after every game. And when my karma drops I think of my game and try to identify my mistakes to avoid them in the future. Rarely, rage wins and the ocassional "idiot" is used, but I don't usually get bad Karma for it. In my experience by following the karma after each game, bad karma is mostly coming from salty oponents killed by you or from teamates thinking you stole their kill. Also : I have been reporting afk ships on both sides for quite some time now but it seems that AFK's are present in almost every game lately !!! Can you please WG put this reporting system into use ? Fair seas !
