  1. Heya people! Gods damn it, where is the crew....or at least some of those important senior officers at any vessel? Here a suggestion how it could be done. Feel free to discuss this subject, in an adult manner of course. 4x slots for BB's 3x slots for CV's, CA's and CL's 2x slots for DD's Short note to the names of those officers below: I am not a native english speaking guy and maritime wording is also very specific. I used google translation, lol But I think you guys get the twist. deck officer ship's HP increase +3% watch officer torpedo detection range +5% or ship detection range +2% weapon system officer maximum scattering -5% or secondary reload time -1 second engine room officer speed boost +15 seconds or maximum speed +1 kn electronic officer hydro duration +15 seconds or maximum hydro range +2% repair officer time to have repair party ready again -5% or healing +2%/second navigation officer concealment +2% or AA gun range +3% plane section officer rearming plane time -5% or plane HP increase +3% The list above is just a given example (without mathematics behind).....so calm guys :) So far I have not made the thinking of leveling them up or such stuff (as in WoT for example given), I dont think thats neccessary at all but would off course also go for that route as long as crew/senior officers would be implemented.

    [Question] Omaha crew skill(s)

    Hey Fellow WoW Captains, Let's introduce myself a little bit (yeeeey my first topic on WoW), first i took a long brake from Warships (was playing more tanks and some other games), second after not playing 1 year and half maybe longer or maybe less i thought i would suck when playing again (1 week so far) but actually i had pretty good games on my Omaha so far anyway let' get to the point and explain my question. I've read (most posts were from 2016 or older) that allot of ppl use "Vigilance" skill for the 3th skill for Omaha tier 5 American cruiser. Personal i have a double feeling about that skill coz i rarely use my torpedoes and 25% bigger range its about 1 km more range if i didnt calculated wrong. Most of the time i'm lowest tier, if a tier 6- 7 comes closer i try to keep them on my maximum gun distance so i dont use torpedoes in this situation. When playing this game for 1 week, i used my torpedoes twice i know it's not allot but what do you think i should do? What is your opinion about the 3th skill on Omaha? Pls explain why, vigilance or..... ? Thanks in advance and big love on the forums but destruction in the water! *edit* You can always say what skills your captain have with a small explanation if you want :)

    Crew on ships mod?

    I have been playing this game for a little bit now, one of the things that I feel is missing is any crew on the ships. I have seen youtube videos where the ships are changed into futuristic ships fighting in space and was wondering if there was anything a bit simpler that merely adds crew members onto the ship models. They wouldn't have to be animated or abundant as its not often you pay that much attention to your ship, All I really want is a couple of models standing at the AA guns and at the wheel of smaller ships to make it seem like the ship is actually manned. As I said I have seen mods where the ship models have been altered so i'm guessing it wouldn't be too much trouble for a modder to just edit in a couple of standing people models onto the ships. Is something like this already out there?

    What's the status of the crew that can be seen during their daily routine on ships while in port? First teaser of that was presented quite long ago.
  6. Hi WG, I was wondering if you are going to implement a wider range of crew voices. At the moment, the battle feedback given by our loyal crew is, in my opinion, lackluster. In real life, the captain would usually be receiving reports from all over the ship constantly, while under fire. What part of the ship got hit, what is the range to the targeted enemy, specifications of said enemy etc. Now, I don't suggest that you turn it into one big mess when taking hits, but a more human-like reaction when a 210mm HE shell hits your small destroyer could add so much more feeling, and perhaps make you think twice about placing yourself in danger like that. There are bound to be people (and I have already seen posts where players are asking for NO voices at all) that are not going to be optimistic about this, so maybe a setting that tunes the amount of feedback? No being nothing, default the amount we currently have, and High a suitable amount of chaos. Please post any phrases or general triggers that you want to see in this post as well!

    Ships crew

    So i was wondering.. why do we only have a Captain as crew to train? Couldnt we broaden up the ship's crew with Officers? Like having a chief for gunnery, machine room etc and having some skills distributed accordingly? Like RoF skills and Accurary for the gun crews, speed or hp for the engine room crew and radar or "extended view" for the radio guy or even some other officer? What do you lovely sailors think?

    Idea for WOWs

    Hello everybody I have an idea that would chance the concept off the 'special ability' for all shipclasses. I know it would be a total overhaul of the game. It would give the game a strategic factor, and a bit more realism. issue of the game: Carrier loses all there planes or the airstrike is migated by a singe (higher tier) cruiser. All the cruiser has to press is a single key. Battleship in dual with another ship can press a single key and double it's hp. The special ability currently in the game for a destroyer is it's faster speed, for a cruisers it is anti-air defence or hydroacoustic, for a battleship it is the rehealing, the carrier has none. My idea is to change the abilities into crews on the ship itselve; a crew can work in different modules: aa fire, secondairy fire, maintenance, 'special ability'. A player can move a crew to different locations but it will take the crew a sertain amount of time (10seconds) to get to the destination. Ofcourse there is an ingame limit of the amount of crews in one module. e.g. cruiser: 1 crew in aa, 1 crew in secondairy, 1 crew in maintenance. In total a cruiser has 3 crews, now the strategic part, if you see an incomming enemy airstrike the player can replace its secondairy crew into it's aa defence module, and the aa of the cruiser will strengten in power (after the crew has reached the module: 10seconds). If the cruiser is in a match without any carriers he can replace his aa crew into maintenance or secondairy. Same idea goes for the destroyer, it has 3 crews (maintenance, aa and engine/rudder). Replace the crew form aa to speed and you will get your speed boost and manoeuvrability boost. A battleship has 4 crews (maintenance, aa, secondairy, recovering). Replace the crew form aa to the recovering and you will get your rehealing. carriers are a bit special because they dont have a 'special ability' right now, i would either give them a faster planerecovery or an aa defence ability. Some people will wonder why would you have to place a crew into mainenance if we have a repair button. Well that goes away aswell, no more 'fast repairs', but if you put 2 crews into maintenance they will extinguish fires and repair guns and flooding faster. With 1 crew on maintenance a fire would burn for 20 seconds (timer resets if an other fire is started) for a percentage of your total hp, flooding would take 60 seconds and also do percentage damage, the main guns will not repair. 2 crews on maintenance means a fire is extinguished after 5 seconds, floods take 20 seconds to recover and main guns get repaired in 5 seconds (if the gun isn't destroyed). Maintenance also recovers a small percentage of hp, when there is no other damage source active (fire or flooding) on the ship. I hope you can folow my thinking proces and understand the changes i would like to see in this game.   9. Das Crewtraining auf Premiumschiffen läuft etwas anders als man es von WoT gewohnt ist. Denn, anders als bei WoT, können Kapitäne auch Klassenübergreifend trainiert werden. So kann ich den Kapitän der Omaha in der Arkansas Beta ohne Einschränkungen (und natürlich ohne Umschulung) verwenden und erwirtschafte auch Crew-XP. Genauso kann ich den Kapitän der Gremijaschtschi in der Murmansk oder Aurora weiterbilden. Natürlich funktioniert das nur bei Schiffen der selben Nation. Man muss sich also nicht mit Premiumschiffen verschiedenster Klassen eindecken. Ein Premium der gewünschten Nation ist völlig ausreichend. (Falls es dazu bereits einen Artikel gibt, konnte ich den nicht finden. ich war jedenfalls sehr überrascht als ich das heute mal getestet habe)

    Acelerate crew training?

    I dont know about you fellas but i hope thy will implement "acelerate crew training" like option like thy have in World of tanks i have two battleships now and one has an elite status so on that one i want to acalerate training for my capitan but there is no option for that? Or maybe i did not see it?

    Moin. Ich würde gern wissen, ob noch eine skillbare Crew implementiert wird. Bei WoWP und WoT finde ich es ganz angenehm, noch einige kleine Verbesserungen, wenn auch nur im Mikrobereich, zu haben. Dass man jetzt keine 187 Mann auf nem Schlachtschiff haben wird, ist mir natürlich klar, aber zumindest die LI´s, ein Chefmaschinist und ein Waffenoffizier wären nett?

    Ships crew

    So, I really like the idea of having the commander - not sure what the rest of you think? I was wondering whether going into full release we'd have more crew/officers - Chief Gunner, Pilot, Engineer, Damage Control and so on? Perhaps specific officers linked to specific ship classes - Wing Commander, Torpedo control and so on Each with their own set of skills and perks that reflect their role on the ship.
