  1. I just had a match today in my Grozovoy, and somehow the Lexington player on our team caught my eye. I usually don't bother to check player stats, but there was something about this player that didn't compute. I opened up the profile. This players has a history of misery and pain straight into our high tier matches. WG why do you hand out a tier 9 premium Georgia after 260 horrible battles total? (328-68), a tier 8 Bismark without any prior german BB experience at all? A Lexington after 12 abysmal Ranger battles? WG WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?
  2. I've played four top tier games this morning, three of which were lost due to CV players not having a clue. One numbskull in a Taiho even sailed straight into an enemy cap circle and was gunned down by a Tirpitz who was about 5 k away ... and no this wasn't a connection failure as I watched him sail around islands to achieve this. Whilst I can understand and maybe even laugh at new carrier captains doing silly things at tier 4, my sense of humour evaporates when the same thing happens at tier 10. I'm not a fan of Carriers and don't enjoy games when they are present. In my opinion these ships are too powerful to be put into the hands of one player and can dominate or lose a game all on their own. I dread to think what Wargaming has in store for us with the coming update ... but if the 'carrier content' continues to overide good gameplay and fun I can imagine a lot of players walking away from an already troubled game.

    Bad Destroyer (DD) PLayers

I'm sick to the back teeth of high tier / Tier 10 destroyers playing badly and throwing games right from the the outset by : 1. Not attempting to cap or going everywhere but the cap circle, even when the enemy is clearly at the other end of the map. 2. All DD's going to one cap and then wondering why the game was lost on points. 3. Asking why Battleshsips and Cruisers dont blindly enter caps at the start of a match to '"support" them. 4. Suiciding at the start of the game leaving the rest of the team to be blindly picked off for the next 15 minutes. This is especially excruiating when there are four or five dd's per side and yours are all dead. 5. Launching torpedoes from behind team mates and then accusing everyone else of 'camping'.

    Why even bother?

Seriously, why do I even bother.... I usually do not rant at games, but this is just too much. Last couple of days I am being constantly either bottom tiered or matched with bots. I used to not believe that bots existed in WoWs, but this game opened my eyes. No matter what I wrote in the chat or pinged on the map - my team just went full bot and ignored everything. They sailed some predefined invisible line ignoring ALL game objectives. Why do I even bother wining? Why do I care about my stats? Its pointless, because I have no influence on them. It is all in my teams hands. You say carry harder? Sorry, but there is a limit and carrying 10 players is impossible. In this game I was playing with my buddy and I was denying B to the enemy while he tried C. I got pinned down by Atlanta and Belfast combining radar but I managed to kill the Shiratsuyu. My team ALL went all A and even if I removed the Shira (their biggest threat) they still refused to help me out on B. All they would need to do is push into B and kill the Atlanta and Belfast. Instead they went sailing the Caribbean even tho that Morten was spotting the enemy team and fighting them - ALONE ! I died within first couple of minutes of the game and I ended up in top 4 players. That is just sad. And frankly this is happening way more often than I can manage. I am constantly thrown into 100% "throw away" games where I can have little or no influence at all. And this is supposed to be fun? Arent I playing games in order to have FUN? To be honest I am close to abandoning the game completely. Dont get me wrong ... I love the game. Love it. I love watching vids, love hanging in the forums and with my fellow scrubs. It is the only game I play. But this? I rather go watch Project Runway with my wife.
  5. If you recently bought a Schannhorst or Atago or whatever, and if you have 50 battles on this game and you're just "firing at ships", skip this post, it's not for you. If not please take some time to read it. Sorry for it being so long but i guess WG is happy that i won't create any more topics any time soon, I know there's a bunch of players that are gonna hate this post but they are exactly the kind of player i will talk about. As time passes, WG is feeling the need to have a bigger playerbase. Instead of making the game more exciting and slowly build a bigger but solid and happy playerbase, they just make it easier so that every noob can play it. Fast money. COD kids like to shoot stuff and daddy can pay Premium ships so they just go ahead, buy a Schanhorst and go "fire at ships". They don't care about the result of the battle, they don't care about tactics, they don't look at minimap, they don't look at chat, they think it's your fault that you got hit by their torpedos. They just grab a ship and try to survive with as much HP as they can. That's todays typical gameplay. While in the past i could say that this happened at lower tiers, today i can say without no doubt that i find more quality of play in Tier III or IV than in Tier X. I see things in higher tiers that amaze me. People with Yamatos, Moskvas or Gearings that aren't even aware of the rules(!?) or types of battles... Last night, playing a DD (Tier IX/X battle), i set up a smoke to protect a nearby CA from being focused. Instead of hiding on it, the guy turns away from smoke (it was not a "rsisky" smoke...) and sends all is torpedos to my smoke and hits me, leaving me with 10% HP. I tried to speak to him in the chat but by the look of it, he wasn't even aware that he almost team killed me, let alone looking at the chat. While i was trying to talk to him in the chat, he almost killed another friendly DD with torpedos, beached himself and than, in complete panic, launched torpedos at that island by mistake. This kind of situations are happening too much times for my taste. I know that in every game there will always be noobs but lately almost every single battle has like 95% players just "firing at ships", going chasing ships to the end of the world, while 5% are trying to play and getting sunk trying to cap with no support. It's hard to have the will to play when a Tier X battle starts and half of your BBs turn around and go as far as they range will allow to "stay safe" during all the battle. Allowing everyone to be able to play the game is great and fair. Allowing everybody to start playing the game almost at Tier X is only good if WG estrategy is to get rid of all good players and make the game as dumb as possible. It's easier to attract new players if you give them access to "the end of the game" from the moment they start to play. Radars, Radio Location and other "skills" are dumbening the game to a point where battles are either random or decided on MM. There's no balance whatsoever, i'll give you a couple of examples that i can easily prove. - Atlanta, no role in gameplay. A tier VII ship with 13mm armour. Less than any DD... and with a citadel, making it even worst. If you play against Tier V you are OP as hell. If you play against Tier VIII you are dead with 1 or 2 shells from any ship (!?). Even here WG is dumbing the game... i don't know if you noticed but Atlantas never get matched with CVs. If i play any other Tier VII ship, i get matched with CVs like 8 out of 10 battles, When i play Atlanta i get like one battle with CVs every 20 or more battles (if someone thinks this is not true, i'll prove it with my replays. Last time i was matched with CVs was almost a week ago...). In a battle with CVs, when there's a decent enemy CV captain, i usually don't get to kill any CV plane but sometimes (almost never) i get to kill like 40 or more (dumb CVs focusing Atlantas...). WG goes ahead and decides it's bad for CV players to get matched with Atlantas so let's make things easier instead of making CV players learn to avoid certain ships. - Akizuki. weird role. WG says Inertia Fuse is "great" for this ship... really? First they nerf Akizukis HE pen from 19mm to 17mm so you can't pen any tier VIII DD (since they all have 19mm armour) then they say "you can always use Inertia Fuse....". The thing is that HE pen works the same way as AP pens (i guess). If the enemy ship is angled, you won't pen it with AP so why would you pen it with HE that has less pen, even with the skill? You would use HE instead of AP on angled ships because they are angled so why more HE pen if you won't pen anything?? To use it when other ships are broadside? Well AP gives you more damage in such situations. The only difference is that you cannot start fires like you did before (if any) unless you have a 19 point captain. So i end up in Akizuki, spamming more than 500 shells during the battle, undetected. It sucks for other players, especially on maps like Ocean where ships like this don't have any adversary. Anyway with 33knots top speed at Tier VIII and with the turning circle of a BB, Akizuki is not really a DD. It's just another spamming CA with excellent concealment. There are other examples of (really) broken ships, like Mogami, Pensacola, Tashkent, Hipper, Roon, some CVs, etc. but that's something already known and that WG doesn't really care much. So in my opinion, with so many new options and choices, strategy is limited as it never was. The only strategies these days (in the 5% of battles where there's one) are: - USN and RN Gunboats: Spend all battle spamming - IJN DDs hide all battle from radars, RL and Hydro and hope that enemy has plenty of noobs, otherwise you won't do much. - CAs in general - Hide behind an island and spam for 10 minutes, then go to other island and spam again or spam from smoke - Cruisers - The majority of BBs won't use any tactic whatsoever but when they do is: IJN BBs - staying away from german BBs, sniping USN BBs - staying away from German BBs, sniping German BBs - Rushing caps and launch torpedos at other BBs. CVs - i really don't like to play it but i'm sure there's not much "tactic" left. About RL... amazingly WG had the "guts" to say that RL is great for "some" DDs. Yes they said "for some". It's good for "some" DDs, obvisously refering to Russian DDs. Isn't this amazing?? They also said that the decision to keep this "skill" was based on the players feedback. Now they just "invent feedback" and accept it as coming from players. I think WG is trying to believe it theirselves. So keep on making the game dumber and dumber at higher levels and make it accessible for even monkeys to play it. Enjoy the money those monkeys give you but remember that even the monkeys will notice that the game is becoming a "low quality arcade shooter" and there a lot of better FPS out there. My opinion? - Nerf DD concealment. - Get rid of 100% effective AAs - Get rid of RL and Radars and every skill that makes the game dumber. - Make smoke shorter duration. - Get rid of lottery detonations. - Make it harder to pen armour on EVERY ship. - Make grinding real. Not the present joke where there's no grinding at all. - Remove torpedos from BBs - Remove hydro from DDs - Remove smoke from CAs - Make high tier CAs more tanky. - Fix "dead ships" - Stop releasing magic skills. - Stop offending me with sentences like "We are spoling players" you can't spoil players. They pay your salary. They pay Victors super car collection. Never say that again. I'm not a kid, who the hell do you think you are? Spoiling me? How offensive is that? Looks exagerated? It's not, it's NOW that it's exagerated. If WG wasn't working so hard on killing their playerbase, they could create some type of "realistic" battles without all the trash features they have been implementing in the game. It would make battles more tactical and exciting (they once kind of were) and new players would have to learn as they grind. Those are my "terms" to keep playing the game. Remember that i didn't decide to "stop playing it". It's just happening. I play less each day as i just get bored after 1 or 2 battles. I also get upset with potatoes almost every battle and as i play games to have a good time and fortunely there's always other games coming out, the will to play World of Warships is "dying" every time i play it. At this time, i think i only play it because i spent (lately it's more like "wasted") so much time and money on it, but even so, i decided to make a pause untill WG fixes they "greed" issues and awful "quick fixes" to save time and get more money out of players. This is long enough and while there so much more to say i'll just finish by saying that the game has never been as boring as it is now. So to those who love casual arcade shootersm have fun! For now, i'm done with this game. See you later, if things change (as if). Cheers! ps. Check the screenshot to see one simple example of how dumb it's becoming. This is not even close to the worst cases, it's just an example where i decided to take a screenshot, i have a lot of recent replays to support what i'm saying about broken gameplay..

Can I please not get teammates with below 50% winrate

They don't communicate They don't play the objective They have terrible decision making They don't know how to play their ships They don't do damage They ruin the game for their team They induce rage and BM Just put sub 50% in a bracket of their own since they have no clue that they are bad players, they won't mind. They want to have fun and shoot some ships while sailing around, fine by me, just not in my team. I would even go further and make the MM winrate based, I don't care if i have to sit in the queue longer in order to get a quality match with capable teammates. Pair competent players with each other that actually try to play the objective and are competitive. This will up the quality of the game tremendously. ty
  7. Ohai fellow captains ! I started playing world of warship some time ago, and was trully astonished at the way players go at each other in-game. I have been playing online since 1998 (damn I feel old XD) and have gone through the twists and changes of online gaming and the way comunity's evolve. However up untill today I had never encountered a game in wich the comunity is so toxic to each other as this one. I have seen things in game that ...I do belive as players most of you have ... Anyway, after watching an episode of mingles with jingles about the comunity's and the way certain people behave online I thought I should start a thread here to get a feel on what others think about the subject and what could be done about it. I have seen threads pop here and there regarding the subject and most of them are regarding a specific behaviour or a specific player. I would like us to discuss it in general and not personalize it. As a player with a few games played over the years I belive the bets solution is alowing the players to take control of the situation and police themselfs (Clans/Guilds are a great way to do it), I also think that giving the option to exclude a player from the you're player poll is another (ignore/mute buton). What do you gusy think could/should be the way to make this game even beter?

Force place bad players to PvE

I am getting really frustrated of losing battles due to players with what best can be described as having bot stats; that is below 45% WR, <600XP/battle, <20% hit ratio,<0,6KD and <10k damage while having at least 400 battles under their belt. Those players are so bad that they are ruining the game experience for those players that actually know how to play due to their ineptness of a magnitude that they are actively losing the battles for their teams due to torp tk'ing, camping out of the battle area, not helping where needed and being so bad at shooting their guns that they can't hit any moving targets above 2km distance and finally being part of fail platoons. WG, those bad players are ruining the game just as they do in WoT and you must force them force them to either play in their own server for the inept or keep them in PvE so that they can have fun with players of equal skill and mental ability instead of always sapping the enjoyment for those of us who do know how to play the game and how it's mechanics work. Please - those players do not belong in any PvP game.

    Player's Skill Level

I bet some of you have already had this feeling: you're playing a match, and it seems to go decent, but then you look at the team score and see that you are left with 2 others against 7 enemies. This happens to me way too often. Mostly because a lot of players don't know what they're doing. Of course I screw up for myself every now and then, everyone does. But it's just terribly annoying to waste all your time playing games with a terrible team. It has been killing the fun of WoT for me for a long time now. It has killed the fun of WoWP for me 2 weeks after I started playing it. It is already starting to ruin this game for me too. I think we need to do something about this problem. My idea was to implement a light kind of skill based matchmaking. Not too harsh, but harsh enough that you won't get in a game with 8 players playing like it is their 1st battle, while you and the other good players are unable to do something because you are with too few. It wouldn't be fun for the new players or players who are trying to improve if they would only get in matches with the worst players available, so that's why it needs to be mixed up a little bit. Bad players and decent/not very good players should be able to play together in one match, so that these bad players have a chance to get better so they can "rank up" in the skill based matchmaking tree. Same goes for every skill level there is. It's no fun if you can't improve, and you can't improve if you keep getting in the same annoying matches with players that are too bad to even put a dent in the enemy team. Also, this would make the teams more equal to eachother in terms of skill, which also solves a huge part of the problem. The problem with this is: how do you measure someone's skill level? I don't know what the best way to measure that would be, but maybe one of the others on the forum can help out with that. Also, I have thought about the certain possibility of people playing bad on purpose so they can get into lower ranks and absolutely destroy the lower skill matches. There might be a way to fix that: if a person stops being as good as the rank he is in says he should be, he will drop ranks of course. However, if someone purposefully drops rank to be the best in all matches, he will be back in the rank he started in at some point. If he goes back again the cycle restarts. If someone keeps doing this, he should be punished. If you guys find any holes in my explanation/ideas, please say so. And of course, give me your own opinion on why something like this should or shouldn't be implemented in the game.
