  1. EDIT, _________________________________________________________ As answered in the thread, the chance for missions was removed, so anyone stumbling upon this thread, you wont get missions from Freedom Containers. My problem was that I watched Youtube videos of these containers being opened, saw each and everyone one get missions with far lesser quantities, they also mentioned the missions themselves was not in the description of the item. So I naturally and completely logically as a new player who as entirely expected did not thoroughly read every patch note before him, got those containers with the expectations to receive the same rewards, I did not, the chance were removed. I'm fully aware that it is far-fetched of me to expect them to have considered this scenario, it was just after all an UNFORTUNATE situation, so I will recommend a small description to be added notifying any future costumers of it. As it so happens I'm a first time costumer in WoWS and hopefully my feedback will be helpful. _________________________________________________________ OP, Hello, I was gifted some $$ by a family member to help boost my start in our World of Warships adventures, among them 25 Freedom containers, few problems, but it's late so I thought I'd turn here for some guidance. It was mentioned to me they should contain a chance at some missions for Ships of various tiers and classes, having nothing better to do this late I opened them. To my dismay as I opened container after container I did not see a single mission. I understood later that I needed to progress my "Level" to use the other items which is fine, but fact remains not a single mission was to be seen in those containers, from my googling adventures it seems they should have a pretty high chance to "drop". So I'm wondering, by opening them at such a low level (level 4) did I inadvertently reduced my chance of getting the missions to zero? All the best Hanikamu
  2. Hi, I am struggling to finance all the ships I have researched by the time I got the experience to unlock them. Thus I figured I would like to buy a premium ship to speed things up vastly. My question is, what ship does earn the most credits in an average game ( I am not that great of a player ) when all factors such as shell-cost, repair-cost etc are considered? I lean to towards Alabama or Tirpitz however I am not set on any particular nation as this will be a ship ONLY to farm credits, the crew training aspect is secondary at best.

    [Question] Omaha crew skill(s)

Hey Fellow WoW Captains, Let's introduce myself a little bit (yeeeey my first topic on WoW), first i took a long brake from Warships (was playing more tanks and some other games), second after not playing 1 year and half maybe longer or maybe less i thought i would suck when playing again (1 week so far) but actually i had pretty good games on my Omaha so far anyway let' get to the point and explain my question. I've read (most posts were from 2016 or older) that allot of ppl use "Vigilance" skill for the 3th skill for Omaha tier 5 American cruiser. Personal i have a double feeling about that skill coz i rarely use my torpedoes and 25% bigger range its about 1 km more range if i didnt calculated wrong. Most of the time i'm lowest tier, if a tier 6- 7 comes closer i try to keep them on my maximum gun distance so i dont use torpedoes in this situation. When playing this game for 1 week, i used my torpedoes twice i know it's not allot but what do you think i should do? What is your opinion about the 3th skill on Omaha? Pls explain why, vigilance or..... ? Thanks in advance and big love on the forums but destruction in the water! *edit* You can always say what skills your captain have with a small explanation if you want :)
  4. I'm interesting in joining a clan. I play a lot but I am not a pay for play player. I'm Tier IV or V player. I want to team up with clan members. I don't need any of the teenage silliness that accompanies many clans. I play EU every other day on American CT hours 1 pm to 2 am. I don't have a mic so I don't fit some requirements.

Iowa, its hull & is it worth it?

Hello everyone, I have heard alot of stories about people saying the USS Iowa is really bad and other people who were shouting that it was an amazing ship, it just needed more skill to "master" her. Now since I'm almost able to get the Iowa I wanted to know it I should buy it or if I should just stop at my North Carolina and not go any further. Also, people are saying that the Iowa has really bad protection, while I read an article that stated that actually, the Iowa had less amount of armor but it was of a way better quality which made it really strong. So did Wargaming just make it "a bad ship" according to people? Also, apparently the citadels that used to be very high before have been "fixed" so to say. Does it make it really better or just better? I'm looking forward to complete answers if possible, not just people screaming it's bad or good without proper arguments. Thank you! Kind Regards, Nathan Link to the article: (It's the 3th topic; Armor) https://www.quora.com/Why-do-people-think-Iowa-would-have-been-able-to-defeat-Yamato

    Alabama bug

I possess the American Tier 8 Premium battleship, the USS Alabama, I have played many many games with her seeing as how it's my favorite ship inside and outside of the game. I have observed that the forward and aft Mark 37 Fire Directors do not turn with the guns towards the target as they would on other battleships like the North Carolina, Iowa, etc. It's a small graphic issue, but it has been bugging me for quite a while. I hope that this issue will get a fix.

    Iowa vs Montana

Asking players whom have had both for a long time, do you feel like the Iowa handles better than the Montana? Which one is more responsive, plus the Iowa being the fastest battleship by far wouldn't that make it more like a tier 9.5 bb?
  8. Hi! I rebuilt my Missouri's captain skills and upgrades today and this new one is very impressive for me. I am courious for yours, what is your imagines.

    Unknown Tier 9 American Carrier

So i watched the older video on the US fleet. I was under the impression that ingame the Essex was a temporary Tier 10 until they got the Midway ready. But on this video the Midway is not included, and the tier 9 has not recieved a name. 1:50 for those who are lazy Do we know what the new Tier 9 is?
  11. Hi guy,s I started this topic because i am playing since closed beta and i wondered this the entire time. Why do US DD,s from Nicholas trough Gearing have so difrent ranges? because I made an list off all upgraded ranges down below: Nicholas: 10.9 KM Farragut: 12.6 KM Mahan: 11.7KM Sims: 12.9KM! I know Sims is premium but for comparison I put it here anyway Benson: 11.6KM Fletcher: 12.9KM Gearing: 11.1KM! this one especially made me facepalm. The Gearing has letterly 1.8 KM less range then the Fletcher.. and this should be an upgrade to the Fletcher The point I wanna make is with similar 127 mm guns, why does the range got so much difrence? I know there difrent marks of 127 MM guns.... but for gameplay sake, whats the point? I hope u guy,s can clear this up for me. greetings, dbeerewout PS, sorry for my bad english and spelling, English ain,t my first tongue

    American battleships' Gun Director bug

Why do the Mark 37 gun directors (4 can be found on most battleships and on destroyers like the Fletcher, Benson, etc.) on American battleships turn with the main batteries? The Mark 37s guided the dual purpose 5" guns. It was only the Mark 38s that guided the main batteries (the ones on the two highest points of US BBs: can be observed on Iowa-class, Montana-class, North Carolina-class, South Dakota-class). Wargaming only got the Alabama's directors right as they don't turn with the main batteries, only the Mark 38s do. Although it would be cool if the Mark 37s did turn with the Mark 28 5" dual turrets on BBs.

    The reviews: USS Alabama

USS Alabama Other collected reviews: Duca d'Aosta - Mutsu - Okhotnik I'm continuing trying to gather all the reviews of new premium ships from the main community contributors in one easy-to-view post. The next ship up is the Alabama! The by now (in)famous American premium tier VII battleship Alabama is now available! Alabama is not a paper ship. In fact you can still go and visit her, as she's docked permanently as a museum ship in Mobile, Alabama. She's a South Dakota-class battleship, being an intermediate design between the North Carolina and the Iowa classes. As such she is shorter than the NC, and armed with nine 406mm(16")/45 cal guns. Her top speed is 28.9 kn. The review is thus somewhat out of date.
