  1. Hello again, sorry for the long absence but other things had to get my attention :) As i posted in one of my old Threads about the German Z-Plan Carriers there was one Carrier in particular which actually was half build. Though it never finished construction, it is one interesting piece of history. I am talking about the German Aircraft Carrier Graf Zeppelin. :) You can find some details about it here: http://www.german-na...elin/index.html Additional and more detailed Infos you will find on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia....ircraft_carrier I did a little bit digging and found a few very nice shots of the carrier while under construction: Bow View Launch Ceremony of the Hull Graf Zeppelin USN Recognition Book Arial and Hull from USN Recognition Book Another Hull shot including partly finished comando bridge Lower Hull shot Full side shot from Harbor side on Construction dock Topside Rear view of the Flight Deck under construction Starboard Side and Arial view Keel of the Ship in 1936 Angled front shot Shot after Launch ceremony Another shot at the Launch ceremony This one is an interesting one. It shows the nearly complete Comand towner and thanks to the people the sheer size can be compared Side shot with soldiers And there we have another arial view. This time shot by a british plane in 1941 Arial View by british plane And last a Shot of the Graf Zeppelin from 1945 when it reached Stettin Stettin Graf Zeppelin Have fun watching the Photos.
