    Dear author of this devblog: do you even read the edited you are writing? It's so far off any logic that even the complete opposite wouldn't be true. Just face it: you messed up in creating a class that has no demand and are now trying to cope with the problems that come along without having any way of solving them. The only solution is that, what 95% of the player base wants: remove them entirely from the game and take all the development costs as a sign of remembrance for the future to think before doing anything.

    Way to go to destroy a potential risky but fun line into sheer frustration. Surely that huge detectibility buff paired to low range and no get-out-of-crap mechanic like smoke or prevent-crap-happens like radar is gonna provide much suffering. Was actually exited to try that new cruiser line, right now it just feels one-dimensional and not much fun at best. Continue shooting your own leg WG.

    So these CLs have tons of dual-purpose guns yet their AA is still abyssmal? These dmg numbers are mid-tier level and the flak honestly is a joke. What do the gunnerys do when a plane comes? Half of them gets down the wardroom to eat a sandwhich while the remaining men interpret dual-purpose as throwing stones at planes? I don't even wanna comment on the gun DPM itself... Was looking forward so much to finally having the IJN CL line but holy moly, this is bad. Torpedoes are good though.

    Sigh, you know WG, the issue with your monetization is pretty simple: I want a ship and am willing to pay about $15 for it. Nothing else. If there's no deal for that, then I simply won't be spending any money, like zero, none at all. Other greedy games that go hard on monetization offer at least the possibility to get desired items directly for a reasonable price. I really am wondering what kind of people are buying this crap which apparently makes it become so profitable that it's getting more and more ridiculous over the years.

    How to Play: Torpedo Destroyers

    Would be easier if you guys didn't equip every single new ship with a 5-6 km hydro. Back in the days playing torp DDs was so much fun, nowadays you get outgunned by everything, outspotted and harassed by subs and CVs and the most tragic part is having 8/12 players in enemy team with long distance hydro, where it's getting plain annoying to torp at anything since there's bound to be at least one hydro close to spot them for everyone. Lately I don't even bother anymore torping German BBs which feels like that's 70% of BBs being played. I don't mind having hydro in order to help yourself dodge them, but when a lemming train is going somewhere, any hydro will spot the torps no matter if they were intended for someone completely different. I also noticed that the amount of DDs seem to be on the decline, had many rounds with no or only one DD the past weeks.

    Came back from work, starting WoWs as usual. During loading screen I was reflecting on how much fun this game is lately. Alt+F4'd and enjoyed some playstation instead. Heroic achievement unlocked.

    Can you please stop making the veteran DDs obsolete? With every single update playing a DD becomes less and less fun, it's borderline frustrating to see what's to come.

    How to Mutsuki/IJN DD?

    Playing IJN DDs is all about love. Embrace them loliboats. Take care of them. Pat them on the head when they beach. Smile gently at them if they cry. If you treat your lolibote right, they will pay it back by getting plenty of torp hits on these mean big bullies. If that doesn't work, basically do what the others said: stay alive, which means don't bring yourself in a position where you get killed quickly e.g. charging upfront into them. smoke and islands are your best friend for that observe the enemies, observe their movement, use the indicator more as a reference help your team and you will have it easier yourself e.g. keep enemies spotted and don't sit in smoke all day, when the enemy is busy fighting off your backline BBs, you got better chances to land a few hits Get close to the enemy before using torps. using torps at 10km usually misses, at 6-7km usually gives you a hit. of course this only becomes viable once you hit the bukki In lower tiers, don't be afraid to sneak up on targets using islands. you can land devastating hits once you got them 3km in front of you. secure caps but don't try to challenge it for 10 min, just come back later or try to use your torps to push them out use your torps not only as a dmg tool but also as an denial tool, meaning torping into small gaps usually keeps the enemies away forcing them to use a different route or slow down and win you time and lastly and most importantly: love them loliboats.

    Found a typo in your bulletin. But no worries, I fixed it for you: 0–39 seconds: Four ships total; no more than four destroyers and no submarines. 40–89 seconds: Five ships total; no more than four destroyers and no submarines. In case of longer waiting times for the first player, these limits will be less strict but still no submarines.

    Suggestions thread

    Adjust hydro mechanic. With each addition of ships the hydro consumable becomes rather mandatory than special. Long ago German ships were known for their hydro with long range, most ships didn't have any or if only with a short range. But lately way too many ships get the 5km+ hydro treatment which results in games where 90% of the enemy ships have hydro, which in all honesty is a travesty for torpedo boat players. It's ok for ships to have like 3km hydro to protect themselves but with so many ships having 5-6km hydro and thus spotting torpedoes that were nowhere near aimed at them, it feels like getting torp hits is just a matter of hoping that either hydro is on cooldown or the torps wont pass too many ships detection range. So in general I'd like to see a shorter range of hydro for most ships bar Germans or in general just less ships with access to.

    Didn't really read all 4 pages so excuse me if my points have been stated already. First of all, banning "bad" players from the game just makes the decent players the new bad ones not solving anything. Though I kinda agree in your general sentiment that it's quite annoying to lose games because some people put unnecessary burdens on your team, especially when you perform really well with unicum damage numbers and still lose which is frustrating. But banning them won't solve a thing since there's always a skill gap between players and that proposal would infest the lower tiers with more of these problems. As for how to solve it, I would like to have a learning curve type of tier progression rather than a game count one. Currently you can level up in tiers just by playing the game, the better you are, the lower the amount of games you need yet in the end everyone reaches the end at some point. I would prefer if the level process would also include some kind of missions/achievements/quests that the players need to pass in order to advance to next tier. These missions should include basic damage, damage avoidance, positioning and teamplay mechanics. For instance missions like: Cap 3 times and survive the battle Get 500k spotting damage without getting spotted Sink a battleship as a cruiser without taking any damage Contest a cap for 5 min total Prevent a cap flip as the sole friendly ship within your spotting range Final task: don't get citadelled at all 3 games in row Of couse these are only first come to mind ideas and not well thought, but just to show what I mean so that players actually see which skills are required in order to avoid the most common and most frustrating mistakes. After all, I'm a pretty mediocre player myself and am still learning with each game, not good enough to carry a bad team to win but usually good enough to at least provide some kind of usefulness without dying early due to bad choice making. Apart from my weekly brain afk moments that make me facepalm. But in the end it doesn't matter since WG just wants that easy $150 for T10 access, the quality aspect of the game is long gone in their development process.

    Odd time to return. The game is miles away from the fun it once provided due to various dodgy reasons that 90% of the community agree upon but gets ignored as usual. But I guess you'll notice soon enough.

    DDs are up front, spotting enemies and contesting caps all while continiously being in danger to get hardspotted, plane-spotted or radar-spotted and hence insta focused due to being the closest ship to the enemy. They'll take the risk sneaking up on BBs that can annihilate them if the torp run misses, run up on a sub while sneaking or getting hydroed from behind any island, all just to actually do damage since their guns - bar gunboats - do little. If a DD gets spotted by a plane it usually means the work and planning of the last 5mine were in vain, only in need of running away/smoke up in order to survive to actually have some impact on the game in the later stage. In the meanwhile CVs sit at the back, can move freely without any care in the world, do multiple run setups without any effort, are usually the last ship to die and can even continue playing after dying. Cowardly huh.

    General CV related discussions.

    As a DD player, the biggest weapon of a CV against a DD is it's plane presence above. While YOU might have trouble dmging them (which means you are not good, good CV players drop half the DDs hp with a bomb drop), all other ships, mainly cruisers and gunboats do not. Yes DDs are agile and can provide hard torp dmg numbers, they're also quickly killed once focused. Also smoke is the only thing DDs have to protect themselves against CVs, surely you wouldn't want to bully a helpless lolibote that can't fight back?

    Today I learned, I shouldn't play on weekends. Had a few games yesterday, in every single one of them 2 subs and a carrier per team. Add the 50% cyclone chance and the game is guarantueed to make you angry. Also: don't even bother to hunt subs as a DD. Usually it goes like this: you spot sub in 4km distance, you shoot at hit, you stay detected while sub submerges, whole enemy team bullies you for 20 seconds while avoiding shitloads of sub torps.

    You guys just read it wrong. They said they'd "collect information from the community", not that they would actually read or even act on it. My bet is that they print the feedbacks, tickets and complaints and use them as toilet paper.
