Hmm, I am normally just a reader and not a poster but the OP really has an issue and should not be playing a team game with such a selfish attitude. Oh, and over 50% of his posts in this thread, he is passionate about this......

Firstly I want to apologise, but I read a (now locked) thread and the OP seems to have a thing against old guys (hence the tongue in cheek title). Anyway, I have dipped my toes into the water of WoWs with about 99.9% of battles in Co-op and just the solitary one in Random. Sure, it is easy to do the basics but trying to stay out of harms way whilst trying to do damage is not easy (for me). To date, I have read a lot on this forum and tried (as advised) to watch as many videos as I can but to be honest, not as easy as I first thought. Most here seem to be of good nature and I would like to say that one day I may be as good as that other thread starter! Hopefully, when my courage allows me to, I will see some of you around on the water. From a retired grump.

Ok, an old man here still trying to get to grips with the game. I am yet to still to get to the final account level nor have I got any BB's yet, but as I may be limited in how much time etc I can put into the game I am asking for some advice. Only 1 battle in Random under my belt the rest so far in co-op (so I can get better aiming etc). I do read advice and I watch some videos but so much conflicting information. Bottom line, I want some challenge but not too testing so would cruisers be my best choice, if so what nation would offer the best for a new player in WoWs? Many thanks from this old fart.

Thank you for the trouble of replying and your advice. From your replies I will wait until I get to play with battleships and make a decision from there. Currently I have only got to tier 4 in a cruiser (Kuma) but what I did forget to say I was gifted 10 Santa crates and did get the Russiam Oktober tier 5 battleship and 3 other tier 7 ships but apart from playing them once each in co-op I am leaving them in port until I get more Random experience. Thanks again for your help.
