  1. Today I did some Ops, and it happened to be in Newport. First run with the Oland, my team died along the way... but with the win I finally unlocked the Ostergoland. Second run, Kagero with reload booster: my torps did a number at the Yamato (130k without time to repair ).

    Because more and more torpedo ships are coming in game (Jager and Kitakami the most recent) I dare to say that italian cruisers need a way to deal with them. They are the only cruiser line without hydro. And if WG really don't wanna give them even a short version (because #@*§ reasons) at least give them a backed-in "torpedo lookout system"... british CL have a backed-in "propulsion modification", then why not.

    Completed the missions for tokens, I need to buy 60 more with resources... if I wanna buy the Jager with the coupon. Question for the previous buyers: in yours opinion, the ship is worth the price?
  4. This Zara rammed a wreckage and beached on it... keeping this "particular" position for half minute or more. Made me think at a standing bear...
  5. Tonight I had the worst AB ever. Bot team had 8 BBs, 1 CL and... 3 subs (we had none). I was in Napoli. Except when I used my smoke, subs permaspotted me and I was in a unending crossfire (various caps, domination mode) from 4-6 BBs. Practically unplayable. How was that WG "incentivized" us to use something different from BBs? It's better if I don't express my opinion about the decision making...
  6. On PTS, thanks to no worries about credits, xp and so on (with my usual pennyless grind I miss modules, cap skills, ecc.) I discovered / re-discovered some nice things about the game. First, I did a carry in Vittorio Veneto and didn't had to much dispersion. If there were the rewards, a "dreadnought" would be mine. Then, after more than a year from last time, I taken out my lighthouse-build Kiev... oh boy, the yolo! Fun even in a loss.

    Thing is, I'm not so sure about this new add to the game being something that make it worst. I admit that it's really too early to me for a judgement, but currently I will not be sure that is worst than a torp-wall from a Shimakaze, if you ask me. And from a certain point of view, this can even be considered "historical" (differently than burst fire, MBRB, TRB and other amenities).

    What, if I don't concur with the thread theme I can't say it? The example was to explain that, in my personal experience, it's not necessarily so bad. I understand "the point" (I think) but I'm not so critic against it... could be something different even if not necesserly "better", however I doubt WG will not implement it, then I try to understand how the gameplay will be influenced and if I can adapt easily or not.

    Meh, I will wait the full implementation to judge. Last week on PTS (previous implementation) I was last of my team with my Akizuki against 2 CVs... one was the minelayer version. Guess what, I winned the match. Luck? Sure, a lot of it. Probably also not really good CV players. Still I could dodge mines, take down planes and kill both CVs. The key for me was NOT enter in the minefields (they are marked on minimap). Usual Flamu's sensationalism.
  12. Currently grinding in this mode: Seattle, Saint-Louis, Neptune, Jutland, Mogador, Tashkent. Or at least I try to (to many ships to be really effective). Can be a bit painful, sometimes.

    I have a question, because I'm not a sub expert (or rather, one of the worst noobs about it)... there is somewhere an historic list about the various versions of subs tested before actual implementation? I'm asking because curious if was ever tested a real passive homing to propulsion sounds, instead that actual active one.

    Because I don't have many T10, I decided to take my Hindi... using it like an oversized, fat DD. Interesting results. Like everyone said, the torps are crucial in this mode (even if I finished the Stalingrad with a broadside of APs in a pass-by). My last encounter was with a Kleber... I didn't have any chance.
  16. Killer Whale on PTS. The secondaries of an AFK Amagi detonated the bot DD. Like, unmanned duel.
  17. It was "only" the PTS, then I don't think it's correct for the "carry hard" thread, but this is my new record of planes shot down. S#!t happened and I was the last ship on my team, while the reds had still 1 DD and 2 CVs! However, I squeezed my Aki like a lemon and...
  18. I know and I'm not surprised. Still, it's a way of thinking that is totally incomprehensible to me.
  19. Usually I try to not be so blunt... but I think that all the problems were created by WG itself. This because WG recently modified the way which points from secondaries are calculated (equalizing to that of main guns), but they also made a failed MM that almost force players to use BBs, better if tanky and with a lot of secondaries, to survive (just to say, I usually use CAs/CLs/DDs because I'm grinding lines and it's not very pleasant). And they were surprised that players had big incomes? I will simply say that whoever did those decisions must be really an imb*#!*e... even a 12 years old kid could understand where the problem lies. Another show of sheer incompetence.

    Maybe for the first time, I really felt the limits of Napoli here... better reload or hydro/radar would had given me the chance to exploit some moments where I watched impotently the enemy DDs disappear in smoke (Vampire kill was a lucky blind shot).
