Because of the unreliability of the teams, I usually do the first missions (those without winning requirement) in Ranked/Brawl/Random (this order of interest) then I try Operations for the remainings... if to much losts, I swap to fast Coop to close the daily chain. This if my daily target is only to finish all the missions, obviously.

What would be a good T11 for the USA CL tree... USS Galveston, carrying the RIM-8 Talos with the W30 warhead (atomic AA). Also, to hit the carriers in addition to airplanes... W23 shells for the 406mm USA guns. Nonsense aside, on a more serious note... I don't know if it was ever tested or even proposed, but instead trying the impossible mental acrobatics of balancing the AA (make happy both the gifter and the receiver it's not possible) wouldn't be better to try to scale the damage output based on the WR of the CV player on that specific class? This way none could be really bad in a CV, but at the same time none could be really good (no more unicums). -
What? Why? For what I understand, if I buy it after completing it, I can still have all the rewards.

I'm a simple mind, but I was honestly surprised in this Hermes Op (winned, BTW). Never thinked I could eat 16 torps with so low damage, and survive. Love my new Amagi for this. -

Like others have correctly said, I don't need to rush and will wait, there are weeks until BF end. I just asked it now, to give time to anyone so kind to answer. For the BF event I'm targeting T8 only (better discount, can be used in Ops, don't face T11). Massa B will be buyed (eventually). The question I'm asking myself is if buy "now" also a CA, or buy the "mediocre" battlepass CL + resources... the CAs could be instead buyed later with coupons (after collecting enough dubs... 'cause I'm FtP only).

I take the chance to ask an opinion to the most experienced players. Currently I have around 17k dubs. I was thinking to buy Massa and Atago/Mainz (all B) but now I have the doubt if instead it will be better to take only Massa and then the current premium battlepass (if and when completed the chain)... Any suggestion?

Asking for myself (mainly out of curiosity): how much active is Top Grade Gunner for you? Because in the rare event of playing Brindisi and Venezia I remember that it's uncommon for me to go so close to the enemy... usually I try to kite, or to stay outside of my spotting range.

They were boats carrying anti-ship missiles. Coastal patrol and defense in Caribbean Sea, Mediterranean Sea, Baltic Sea and Black Sea... and japanese waters. What did you expect, that they were ocean-going long range ships? But seriously, while not oceanic vessels, they operated for tens of years in open sea water... I doubt that this will been possible if they were so limited like you seem to think. However, I wasn't speaking about hydrofoils in general... only about the Bras d'Or. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMCS_Bras_d'Or_(FHE_400) Not the first one (Germany tested them in WW2) but I think it's a good flanker to your ekranoplan. Ok, now I can understand you. But... those datas about that ship were real. Ship itself was real (albeit never entered active service). Also hydrofoils small warships were in active service during Cold War, so the issues could be limited even IRL. In a game the only limits are the devs (griefers? ).

Exactly. I was thinking about a percentage based system: the average output damage of a ship class need to be, in percentage, the same as the number of active players of that class in game. This is only a concept, but could be a way to try improving the game. But... Maybe the most intriguing thing to do (just popped in my mind) would be a mechanic that would scale the alpha damage based on the average performance of the player with the specific ship. Not sure about results, but I think would be an interesting concept to test. And could be used for every ship, not only CVs... with the correct tweaks of course. However another big issue would remain... no economic revenue for WG out of this. Enough to don't have hopes of any sort about the "balance" thing.

Theoretically speaking, they could be balanced... but WG don't have the economic interest to do it (just to remain in a materialistic context). So it's necessary to resign yourself, no balancing will ever be done.

In this particular case you are wrong. This is (was) an hydrofoil, specialized submarine hunter... subs don't have a mean to fight it. Also 63 kt IRL.
