2 new superships in auction, because not enough
LukkaiCH replied to 22cm's topic in General Discussion
Not that I personally like the tier XI ships, I think the idea is kind of stupid, but... How exactly does their presence mean you can't have an impact anymore? It's almost as if upon reaching tier IX and X, people suddenly forget how to play as bottom tier. Not saying they have to like it or anything. But saying that it is unplayable because tier IX now suffer from the same as tier VIII did before and tier X the same as tier IX did... -
Playing ranked does not mean you are more experienced or better than someone who doesn't. The number of potatoes I see in game that feature a medium to high silver rank or better...

The fact that this makes it a PanEuropean line. Oh wait, we already have that!

Mal sehen. 5-S-4-9-6-keine Ahnung-4-T-s-y-Z Nicht sicher, ob das zweite "s" klein oder gross sein soll. Und ob das überhaupt einen Unterschied macht. Sind ja nicht immer case-sensitive. ...

Just saying.. -

LukkaiCH replied to john6cooper8's topic in Allgemeine Diskussionen
Ich könnte mich zumindest an keine solche Aktion erinnern. Also ja, 365/12 Festpreis. Und leider auch keine Coupons. -

There is merit to your definition of cheating, I will give you that one. Yet a forbidden mod will still be at least one of the two. And the one I responded to gave the choice of either. So I think my core point stands. The term is not a euphemism. It's synonymous in this context.

Wargaming: What is the average winrate of all players not games?
LukkaiCH replied to TheNubination's topic in General Discussion
Maybe they wouldn't have lost those six if they weren't constantly staring and raging at the mm monitor? Sorry, could not resist that one. -
Seriously? You couldn't have been bothered to even look at wikipedia? Which would have taken less time than writing and sending that posting? Try the Adriatic Sea.

As someone who served for nine years, I do find your words deeply insulting. And more than that also very disturbing, because they paint the picture of an army utterly and completely failing at instructing and training their troops right. If an army cannot instill the same concepts of right and wrong in their common soldiers as in their officers, it fails at a level most basic. You've got this one wrong in one important aspect: They did not try to use it to excuse their deeds. They deeply and honestly believed that it did. And the words they were using to express that sentiment are the very same words you are using in this thread to express yours. So it really should not surprise you that you are being called out on it. As a matter of fact, it is. And if you were to look past the "Bah, Hollywood humbug!" sentiments and take off the blinders to see how the troops in question act and are led, you could see how. And it is in fact a major point. Because it is pretty much the difference between how you seem to see things and how pretty much everyone else in here does. I will admit, it's not a perfect example to show it. There's much better ones. But it is the one you chose, so I ran with it. -
Not a good addition due to the lack of any higher tier ships. At best you could get them up to VI? And there is the Viribis Unitis premium and Tátra tech-tree. So at least it's not missing completely.

WOWS matchmaking finally is the same as WoT matchmaking...
LukkaiCH replied to Kutfroat's topic in General Discussion
As an avid Operations player for a long time, I can assure you that both all three of those kinds of teams definitely do exist and in my experience the latter is actually the most common. And that it is nothing new at all and has always been the case. I did notice a difference in when I was playing though. Teams between shortly after dinner time until about midnight on average being a lot better than just before or after, for example. -
To be fair: A forbidden mod by design is always a cheat and is likely a hack. Those two words in conjunction do say so rather openly. Noticeable cheating is sure to do so. So...

Okay, can someone here explain me how spawning on a flank where the opponent team has an overmatch drives down your winning chance? Not tactical options, not chance of long-term survival. But winning chance? I freely admit that I may not be a tactical or mathematical genius. But in a battle where both sides start with the same amount of ships. If one team has superior numbers and thus an advantage on one flank. It does kind of imply that the other team enjoys the same in one of the other starting positions. Aaand here's where you lost all credibility. How would that even work? 130 battles will usually not earn you a tier X ship, unless you throw money at the game when one is available for sale directly (Napoli B at the moment for example). They won't earn you a supership, period. For the vast majority, they will actually have played through that tech-tree to get those ships. And the claim that someone with less than 130 battles in the same tier X ship will be worthless in battle... Is rather adventurous, to put it mildly. Particularily with the tier IX he played before usually being very similar to identical in gameplay. And also already facing the worst that the tier X will. These guys will not be old hands. They will still make rookie mistakes. But they should have learned enough to not be utter liabilities. If they are, a thousand more battles in the same ship are not likely to change that much. But let's say those people are indeed utter potatoes for the lack of experience they have. And thus are having a negative impact on the performance of the team as a whole. Then there's still the fact, that these people will be on both teams. While at least one place on your team will already be filled by an old hand veteran: You. So if anything, a massive influx of that kind of player would actually make things easier for you on average. Because while you are saddled with bad players on your team, there will be even slightly more of them with the enemy. Making sure that the battles in ranked will be decided not as much by the team as a whole, but by the duelling veterans. Increasing their impact on the game and importance to their side. If you actually consider that a sign of disrespect, then I'm afraid you don't have any idea of what respect actually is. Finally let's not forget one thing about any potatoes you may meet in Gold: These guys were still not given their places for free. They had to put in the work to get there. And even if they managed to do so sailing on other people's coat-tails, that one: Would not be a new thing either and did happen in the past as well. And two: Still means they put in the hours. So why shouldn't they be allowed in? Just because it means that any old hand will now have to prove they actually belong there? -
I've seen talks about these months ago. Not sure if it was with the same rewards back then. But it's hardly new.

List of upcoming ships in WoWs (and means of distrbution)...
LukkaiCH replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
Weren't the I-56 and S-189 mentioned to be available in the Armoury January or February update? I dimly remember something about that. *checks* Okay, apparently the term used was "one of the first updates of 2023". So could be anything up to April, I guess? -

Mecklenburg can be good fun as well. It's got the German BB secondaries we're used to. And while the guns won't go and citadel BBs left and right, they can really ruin the day of any cruiser captain getting into your line of fire. Lots of barrels and a decently short reload being part of it. Plus torps, if something ends up really close. And an AA suite (plus defAA) that actually does something every now and then. Decent maneuvrability as well. Coal, I actually consider the Napoli a must choice. Not necessarily the very first ship one should get there, but it should always be on the list. -
