Who's that Pokémon? It's Goliath Black!
Special thanks to @HasteMakesWaste (NA) for a lot of the screenshots you see here and and to Wargaming for providing the necessary resources (as well as inspirations) for this mod.
On a side note: Happy Easter, everyone! With this special date in mind, added an easter egg to the ship. Hint: It may appear in port, or even when the ship is sinking!Screenshots:
Instructions for installation and uninstallation:
SpoilerInstall
1 - Click the Google Drive link, download the "Goliath Black.rar" file (click the download arrow on top right)
2 - Once you have the file downloaded, extract it. When extracted, a folder called "PnFMods" and a Python file called "PnFModsLoader.py" will appear.
3.1. - If this is your first time installing a mod, you will need to go where your World of Warships client is installed. The usual path is:
"This PC/ Local Disk (C:)/games/World_of_Warships_NA/bin/". Inside /bin you will find a folder with numbers, the most recent update has the highest number. (you can sort by latest modification and pick the most recent). Once you've reached the patch's folder, you should see a "res_mods" folder.
3.1.1. - Now, you have to paste the "PnFMods" folder and the Python file you extracted earlier inside the "res_mods" folder, this installs the mod. (The path on your Windows Explorer will probably look like this: "This PC/ Local Disk (C:)/games/World_of_Warships_NA/bin/XXXXXX/res_mods", the numbers being the current patch's folder.)
3.1.2. - If you happened to do this with your game open and don't see the mod, you will need to either make the game 'reload' the files or just do a restart of the client. If after restarting, the modification still doesn't work, check if you put the 'res_mods' folder in the right place. (sometimes, for those with pre-install updates enabled on launcher, you will need to install it on the 2nd most recent folder back in the /bin folder). If the mod still doesn't work, feel free to contact me here.
3.2. - If the system asks you to replace any files, do so.
Contents of "bin" folder, as of Feb. 16:
Location of "res_mods" folder:
Uninstall:
1 - Uninstalling when this is your only mod installed:
Go to the "res_mods" folder. (Detailed instructions on how to find it can be found above). Inside it, the only folder will be "PnFMods", and to uninstall this mod all you need to do is delete that folder.
This only applies if you only have this modification installed.
2 - Uninstalling when you have other mods installed:
Go to the "res_mods" folder. (Detailed instructions on how to find it can be found above). Inside it, find the "PnFMods" folder. Open it, and you should see a folder called "BlackGoliath", which you will delete. This should conclude the uninstallation process.
If after doing this, the mod keeps being displayed, make the game reload the files by selecting another ship and going back to the modded ship or doing a complete restart of the client. If this doesn't work, check if you deleted the right files. If you happen to have any issues after all this, feel free to contact me here.
Download here: Download link (Google Drive)
Important: A few texture files ended up bigger than expected, this can result in longer load times in Port and when in battle, you may notice FPS drops if you have more than one of the skins installed.
This mod will be shown "on top" of any camouflage you apply, with a few exceptions and details: If you want a very good-looking ship, I advise you to remove any camouflage or use a white camouflage. Camouflages that are "remodels" of the ship do not get replaced by this mod.
A few elements above the deck weren't easily modifiable, so normal camouflages will still be applied in those places.
I hope everyone enjoys this mod as much as I enjoyed making it!

UPDATE
Changed the shader used for the Main Battery guns, AA guns and Secondary guns across the ship. This makes their reflections have the same colors as the hull now.

UPDATE
Fixed an issue that prevented the ship from loading in port and when in battle, made the planes equipped invisible.
Thanks @HMSMaidNelson (NA) for all the help.

A few weeks ago, I did a black skin for Conqueror. Many people enjoyed it, and in some ways, requests were made for a Montana skin. After hours of work, I present to you my version of a Montana Black!

Conqueror has been my ship in this Clan Battles season. As I spent my time with the ship, I thought about making a "simple", yet good-loking mod for her. The idea I ended up developing is what you see below as the Conqueror Black!
Special thanks to @ReimuBakarei (NA) for all the screenshots you see here and @HMSMaidNelson (NA) for teaching me how to make PnF Mods.

[ALL] Hakuryu - Japanese Lacquer
in Visual Mods
Posted
Hakuryu. Lacquer skin. Do I need to say anything else? It's beautiful!
The Japanese holiday known as Golden Week is near! To celebrate it, made this modification for Hakuryu!
Special thanks to @Admiral_Bingo (NA) for all the help with getting the planes to work, to @Kokomi_Sangonomiya (NA) for the great idea and to Wargaming for providing the necessary resources (as well as inspirations) for this mod.

Instructions for installation and uninstallation:
Install
1 - Click the Google Drive link, download the "Japanese Lacquer Hakuryu.rar" file (click the download arrow on top right)
2 - Once you have the file downloaded, extract it. When extracted, a folder called "PnFMods", another folder called "content" and a Python file called "PnFModsLoader.py" will appear.

This only applies if you only have this modification installed.
2 - Uninstalling when you have other mods installed:
Go to the "res_mods" folder. (Detailed instructions on how to find it can be found above). Inside it, find the "PnFMods" folder. Open it, and you should see a folder called "HakuGoldenWeek", which you will delete.
Now go back to "res_mods" and enter the "content" folder. Inside of it, you will see a folder called "japan", which you will open. Keep going until you get to the following path: "content/gameplay/japan/gun/secondary/textures". Now, you will delete the files with the name "JGS038_100mm65_Type89" in it (image).

Important: A few texture files end up bigger than expected, this can result in longer load times in Port.
Small warning: if you happen to be using all the black skins and this one, and you get all 4 ships in one battle, all being rendered at once, your PC might drop FPS considerably. In a few weeks, I'll make a 'light' version of all mods.
This mod will be shown "on top" of any camouflage you apply, with a few exceptions and details: If you want a very good-looking ship, I advise you to remove any camouflage or use a white camouflage. Camouflages that are "remodels" of the ship do not get replaced by this mod (Space Haku, Infernal, Made of Steel).
A few elements around the ship weren't easily modifiable, so normal camouflages will still be applied in those places.
I hope everyone enjoys this mod as much as I enjoyed making it!
