    Thank god. Rockets were one of the dumbest mechanics ever introduced into the game, the nadir of that stupid rework. I dream of the day they are removed.

    People have been complaining about 2v2 CV crapfests for years. WG knows they suck, before the idiotic rework they hard-balanced CVs in the MM and 2v2 CV crapfests were extremely rare. They did that in response to the complaints. Now it is possible to see them quite often. The only explanation for the 2v2 CV crapfests is that the devs are plain malicious. They can't claim they dont know its a problem, because they knew it before. They can't complain they can't do anything about it, because they did something about it before. Therefore plain malice is the only explanation, no matter how you paint it in pretty words.

    That's true, but my experience of Ranked in Ohio is quite negative. In Ranked in Thunderer I have a decent 54% WR, in Monty a sizzling 72%, in Republique, 66%. In Ohio? 35%. I average 104K damage in Ranked in Monty, in Republique 105K, in Ohio, just 84K. My top damage in Ohio is just 162k, in Monty its 199K, in Republique 191K, in Thunderer I have been over 200K several times. Of course, comparing it to Thunderer is a bit strained, but still: I have both, which should I play in Ranked? The answer is obvious. I hate adding to the Thunderer plague, but of course once I switched I reeled off three straight victories. I play Marceau just to change things up... I think people are reacting to the value here -- it's a lot of work to get Ohio, they were expecting something good, and instead, they got something that does not perform as well as tier counterparts for them.

    That was exactly my reaction after I picked it up last month. The AP performs more poorly than any other 17" guns at its tier. The dispersion is appalling, like having Lyon with 8 guns. The gain in armor over Thunderer is slight, and with the nerf thanks to the idiotic commander skills rework, its secondaries weren't As Advertized. It turns like barge too, making dodging shells more difficult. The devs should consider making the legendary mod for montana available for Ohio. In Ranked I switched back to Thunderer. More reliable damage, much better guns, and you can compensate for the poorer armor by careful positioning and good use of its low detect. Really saddened by the obvious inferiority of the Ohio, because I was looking forward to it.

    They usually do a pretty good job of balancing ships, except for the Russian ones. The real problem is the two tier spread + the restricted T4 MM. Because of that, and the uneven number of players across tiers, T7-8 spend 70-75% of their time uptiered at least one tier, meaning that they are usually inferiors. WG can't balance for the MM, apparently, it would make T7-8 ships too strong on the rare occasions they are actually top tier. T5s are in an even worse position. Luckily the CV plague has caused T5s to be pulled down to T5 and T4 matches more often, probably the only good thing about CVs. What we need is a more informative MM that asks players to switch to different tiers depending on where ships are needed, etc.

    LOL. I love the way WG always nerfs everything except what actually needs nerfed. Will the guns have pen that isn't supernatural? Will she get a hull with a citadel? Will the ridiculous bow armor be reduced? Of course not. That would mean that ships of lesser navies would be able to kill great Soviet ships!

    Lets hope the radar is removed entirely. Radar boats are very strong -- Smalland is broken and Black nearly so. BBs and DDs should not have radar at all. It's why I have almost entirely stopped playing high tiers. Between the radar, which ruined knife fighting for caps early -- one of the game's great joys, and the idiotic, sociopathic CV plague, it's just a chore with no fun in it at all.

    The account for 6200 battles was explained as a hidden account that revealed its stats. But the accounts with 500-900 battles, most of those are probably botting/AFKing/Yoloing. It would not be difficult to flag and track them. Unless, of course, you don't want to.

    Yup. The combination of two tier MM spread and the CV plague is killing ship diversity. Players have to ask Can I play in it uptiered? and How does it do against CVs? before they bring a ship. Most of my ships rust in port because they are unplayable in the current meta given those two constraints or like Atlanta and Yudachi, were screwed by the idiotic commander skill rework. Right now the sweet spot is T9....

    Yeah, it's why I stopped reporting. It's tedious and WG will do nothing. I have seen botters and yolo'ers I have reported several times. It's actually not hard to find these people. If you look on the last pages of the server leaderboards on WOWS Stats and Numbers, you'll find a list of people with PR under 100 and average damage of 5-8K, all of whom have over 1000 games. Nobody is that bad -- most of those players must be botting most of the time, occasionally actually playing a game so they look like humans are in control. All of them should be placed on a watch list and their accounts locked if they are spotted botting/yoloing, etc. Another way to do it is to find people with inhuman play frequency, easy to spot in the numbers from the Suihei Koubou site. For example, just lookly at the weekly stats, there was a guy the week of 3/27 who played 6200 battles.... ....there are only 10,080 minutes in a week. How was it possible to play that much??? Just look at the players above 500 battles in a week, you will find a lot of botters, yolo'ers, afkers. Simple. But doesn't happen. The only conclusion I can come to is that WG likes botters and AFKers and yolo'ers -- they buy a lot of premium ships -- and has decided to sacrifice gameplay for money. Since thats what they have done with so many other mechanics, this decision is not surprising. But it is deeply, deeply wrong.

  15. It's obviously not going to be shut down. The devs have stopped making improvements to the game in order to change the maps so they can accept subs -- we cant get so much as one new map, because a billion dollar firm is too cheap to spend a few bucks to hire a developer to focus on that. LOL. Subs will cause immense damage to the game, and like the CV rework, many good players who love the game will leave. The devs are betting on the churn, so they will let the game go on because they have invested in another gameplay-killing mechanic, subs, and can't admit how stupid that is. THE CHURN IS ALL! Lots of new players and existing players will buy subs, though, I've seen many comments on the forums and in game about how players can't wait for subs -- nobody likes CVs, but subs by contrast have a constituency. You know that kind of mediocre player who likes hitting others without risk to themselves, they are already invested in CVs -- that's the player WG caters to. They will adore subs. Since they do not play the game, and do not care about playability or enjoyability, the devs will be perplexed when the playerbase finally gives up, especially the veterans. But to kill the game would be a public admission of how badly they have hurt it with the idiotic CV rework, the commander skills rework, and subs, and so many other changes over the years, and the constant refusal to make QoL changes, provide new maps, etc -- and they will never make that kind of admission. So I expect we have a few more years of them harvesting the churn. There will be something out there called WOWs, which will suck, but the churn will probably keep it alive. Sad, when you think about what this game could have been. THE CHURN IS ALL!

    WG likes griefers, AFKers, suiciders, bots, and TKers. They make games go more quickly. Therefore they will do nothing.

On the Live Server, they will be replaced by special chains of combat missions for Base XP in victorious battles. You can complete the missions in Operations; Brawls; and Ranked, Random, and Co-op Battles. This means that you can replenish your stocks of signal flags in the majority of battle types. The mission conditions take into account the varying difficulty of their completion depending on which type of battle you choose. For example, you can be a frequent winner in Co-op Battles, but receive less XP per battle, or you can quickly obtain the rewards by earning more XP per battle in a smaller number of victorious Random or Ranked Battles. The available rewards include More Signals containers and Gift containers. The updates to this section will allow us to add more achievements to the game in the future. I guess they did this because of the vast number of players asking WG to make achievements meaningless..... Why do the devs keep doing things that aren't necessary? The alleged reason... "The updates to this section will allow us to add more achievements to the game in the future" ...is logical nonsense. There is no reason they could not have added more achievements, except unwillingness.

    I wish Ranked were rigged, then I could divine what WG is doing and adjust accordingly. But WG does not need to rig it. The players do that themselves -- the people with 30% Midways bringing them to Ranked, players with 40% win rate at T10 arriving in a Yammy which they have played only once in Randoms, the moron cruiser and BB drivers charging in right away, the DD drivers sitting in smoke in a cap. Even if WG attempted to rig Ranked, the selfishness and stupidity of the playerbase would defeat them.

    Yeah, it is why I decided not to grind that line. I just don't need the aggravation of waiting half an hour for shells and then watching them sprawl around broadside ships at short range. They are lovely on the rare occasions they hit, but on the whole, I prefer ships with more predictable and useful guns. Obvious from this thread, though, that there are people out there finding them amazing.

    That's pretty much how I see it. All the things that make the game suck, subs will make them worse. And we dont get any new maps because a billion dollar firm cant spare a few bucks to hire a developer to give us new maps.

    Players have been asking for new maps for ages. But you have the changes to the daily missions nobody asked for, the idiotic commander skills and CV reworks, a pile of copy-paste premiums.... I've never been involved so long with a company that despises its customers as much as WG does.

  25. "Most annoying HE spammer"? That's a highly coveted title. Almost anything in smoke that spams HE qualifies over Hindy, which at least has to operate in the open when it can be punished.
