    Art department = Awesome

You bet. I report them til I run out. I have zero respect for griefers.
  2. "'Ah, just found that statement in the dev blog, thanks for the reply though. One other thing, and not sure if this is already intended or not, but is there possibility for an in-game calculator for the bonuses? Something that can show you how much credits or xp bonus you can get while selecting whichever bonuses you want to run combined with those always-on baselines?" Excellent idea!
  3. What kind of mind thinks this is a fun MM? I have only 6 ships I can shoot at (won't see the DDs early) and 4 of 12 on each side are griefers that are zero fun to play against. This match was awful from beginning to end.

Fun and engaging from the MM, WG style

Great job reading there. That is so far from what I am saying, you need binoculars to see my post. A poorly skilled griefer is still a griefer, and still out of reach of my guns. Missed the point again. I admire your consistency. Three in a row missing the point. What was my post about? Hint: not about getting killed by griefing mechanics
  5. I missed that. It's even more objectionable than I thought. I am among the minority of players who enjoy Epicenter -- so easy to win, place DD in center and win, or place BB in first ring in map center and crush everything. Loved to see it in Fuso. It's even more of a middle finger to the player base than I thought.

    Leaving the game!

This is a typical Wargaming failure. This is exactly the kind of account that should have been flagged and then nurtured. It should have had access to tutorials and maybe a mentoring program. Here's a customer who shows up and dumps a bunch of money on the game and is now leaving even though he probably would have spent more, simply because WG doesn't care about its player base or game quality. What it shows is the lack of support for new players, who are treated as disposable ATM machines. This goes to the problems of customer orientation that I've been talking about for years. Wargaming simply does not care about its customers.

    change everything about the game

    Satire like this is priceless.

Should add that the flooding of the game with griefers like this means a reduction in achievements like Kraken, Hi Cal, Confederate, and Solo Warrior. There are simply too few ships to shoot at. They don't mean much anymore, but they are fun to get. That was one of the reasons that the devs loved CVs so much -- they got to hand out fewer signals because a ship with a large health pool (driving up the number needed to get awards like Hi Cal) remained unkilled most of the time.

I cant shoot at the four griefers. With griefers replacing DDs, there are too few ships in the match. With DDs instead of griefers, it is likely one or two would have been spotted early and I could target them. Yes thats right. You clearly dont understand.

    Is this a warship game?

There are numerous Naval weapons and ship types that do not appear in this game and for good reason. Adding the two types of ships that made capital ships obsolete to a game about capital ships is simply stupid beyond belief. The core game is fantastic. Nothing else is as good. That is why we stay even though the developers are doing their best to destroy the game.

    Alternative random battle mode

Sadly, yes. They are gradually eroding game play at the lower tiers. But no Stupidships. So there's that.

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

2700 base. Killed Neptune and Sejong firing in smoke. Lots of people think smoke = armor....

    Alternative random battle mode

*laughs in T5-8* Never have I enjoyed a WG eff-up so much as watching them destroy their beloved, coddled T10.

    Is this a warship game?

It WAS a warship game. In the months just before the CV ReWreck it was largely a warship game. Few CVs, no subs, you could actually play the game you came for. Now? Can't understand why these developers work for WG, hating the game so much.
  15. That is fine too. If damage stats were not collected, but kills and WR were, that would resolve many of the playerbase objections. It would certainly resolve mine. I like Arms Race, but not in Randoms in its current form.
  16. Yes, I am sure it was repeated. I have been on two different forums, 40K games, read the blog/facebook/etc since the end of closed beta. Players have repeatedly asked for the ability to decline a mode or map they don't like. The devs have held out the middle finger repeatedly. The customers have in rich and varied and erudite prose, indicated exactly what they want. Entire encyclopedias were written on how to fix RTS CVs, and there was widespread agreement on things like getting rid of strafe. Nobody asked for rockets, or for AA to be gutted, etc. Those ideas were abusive and stupid. That is what I mean when I say the only motivation for this is malice. No other explanation for anything as idiotic as rockets is possible. I can think of LOTS of times praise was nigh-on universal. Enabling players to sell the stock parts of ships. The first edition of captain's points. The addition of Operations. The addition of additional modes like Bastion, Convoy, Dirigible Derby -- players may not like specific modes, but nobody has said additional modes are a bad idea. Meanwhile things that players have asked for, as simple as a CART in the premium shop up to and including new maps and operations, are neglected. Studiously, and with middle finger in the air. It sucks that this fabulous game was given to this group of devs that hates the player base so passionately.
  17. Just rotate Arms Race with Dirigible Derby and Convoy as alternative modes on a regular basis, the way operations rotate, at different tiers. Simple.
  18. We've repeatedly asked for that. Been repeatedly turned down. You're absolutely right. But one of your premises is wrong. Be serious. Voluminous and detailed critiques of every bad decision are made long before it is implemented.
  19. They. don't. care. about. match. quality. In fact, the more it sucks, the happier the devs are. This was discussed before. WG staff are well aware of the playerbase's views. Like everything else, their choices in game play are motivated largely by malice. No other explanation is possible. If you want to get rid of Arms Race, it might be better to crow about how overjoyed we are at the prospect.....
  20. I'd also like to know, since this "simplified" system is completely opaque gibberish, should I sell all my one-time camos before it goes live?

Separation of economic bonuses from camos and signals

"""only one economic bonus per resource (credits, Free XP, Commander XP, XP)""" So basically I can't stack a bunch of signals and camouflages to get high bonuses. I don't like that. I don't like losing the dispersion either. Is that going to be baked in like the 3% stealth bonus? Does this mean that operations will be returned to its former economic state, so that the rewards are more commensurate with the amount of time spent in the match? I like grinding the German Cruisers. Does this mean I can buy 100% XP bonus permanent camouflage is for all of them? For most players that probably won't mean much. But I have to question the application of developer time and effort when the players have repeatedly indicated that they have a lot of issues that are far more urgent. The potential for a klusterfuk is vast. I sure hope they're up to the task. Right now this looks like a lot of time and effort spent on something that nobody asked for or needed. A fairly typical developer project...

Can You Devs Give Pommern Pref MM Please FFS?

It wasn't T9 that did that. It is the stubborn insistence of the devs that we cannot have a 1 tier spread. That resulted in the wreck of T8, and the feeble attempts to correct that problem simply spread the problem down to T7.
  24. SodaBubbles

Can You Devs Give Pommern Pref MM Please FFS?

Not just Pommern. All the T9s should have preferential MM and see only T10s, never superships. Otherwise the devs are going to find that people will refuse to buy T9s, as they did when T8s were just fodderships for T10s. This forced them to tinker with the MM just to fix a problem that should never have existed in the first place, had they not restricted the T4 MM. Ultimately, players are going to realize: why purchase a T9 premium just to be a foddership for Stuporships? I expect that in a year or so they will be tinkering with the T9 MM when purchases of T9 botes fall off.
  25. As I always say, WG's customer orientation is probably the worst of any company I have ever dealt with for a long period of time. FFS just let him reset. Costs you nothing, and you keep a customer happy and spending.
