They reworked the whole class, there is no exceptions. I do like the fact that you are not eating it all at ones and have some mitigation tools against the next air runs. So before U could eat like 8, now you mostly eat 4, with proper manuvering and and what's left of AA. Also it throws 8 torps in 7 drops, so thats 56 potential torps to be dropped. The ammo the FDR throws is crap but the no. of that crap it throws overcompensates. Like I have seen 10k Rockets runs. Then u can do 35K in one bomb run. But its apperently crap against DDs although thats doubtful. Also less HP? Have u even faced an FDR that ur ranting about it?? That thing has planes with more HP than some tier 10 cruisers.

That's where italian velocity (which is pretty good) comes in. And you can hit DDs outside of 13 km if u aim well, and you usually have a pretty good broadside, plus Zara is tanky

Info from a discussion. I compared the elbing pin to all tech tree DDs. Do check them out if ya wish Then compared elbing to premium DDs, and low caliber gun cruisers which have AP ammo. And finally compared the Elbing guns to the most well known light cruisers of each nation (7-10). So the nations that didn't have light cruisers at tier 10, had cruisers atleast down to T7 so i had to manage with those. So here it is. Gotta admit, if this is the pin for Elbing, its pretty ridiculous for a DD, but it is balanced considering it has crap HE and crap reload. So yeah. The tier 7 has 16mm plating and a 25mm belt and deck. The tier 8 has 19mm plating and a 25mm belt. The tier 9 has 19mm plating and a 25mm belt. The tier 10 has 19mm plating and a 25mm belt and deck. (Click on images to zoom) Overall the ships are exceptional in the addition of 25mm plating which gives them the ability to ricochet AP up to 357mm in calibre, which is all DDs, Cruisers and some lower tier BBs. It is also enough to shatter the HE of any DD which either fires standard HE shells or lacks IFHE.
