Those are just thoughts. Those aren't facts. The ship is still in testing. And idk whether you can or can't citadel it from the front but AP pins still do dmg and a fair amount of them landing there can do massive dmg. The icebreaker isn't that high either. And yes 9.5km not 10km. Sorry on that. But point is that 9.5km is still long enough that you'll catch DDs off guard. And he broadside is exposed, so there will heavy cruisers citadelling it from 10km and that isn't count the SCs. And the ship is undertesting so no one knows what exactly that ship is or how to deal with it. Do you think every player reads the devblog? And the guy was a unicum. I saw a Elbing the other day take out a Minotaur, Gearing and Khabavorsk and surviving. You think that ship is OP? Many ppl don't know what these ships are and their pros and cons. This was ofc before the Ger DDs came into early access, so like before it got the buff to turret traverse. I saw a Veneto in test take out a full HP NC and PeaBag. Is Veneto OP? I have seen live ships take out whole flanks. I have seen GKs clean up flanks back in the day and that was before it got its accuracy buff and were deemed to weak. Was GK OP back then and now? Its only one game you saw the ship in action and it was captained by a good player. Don't make assumptions based off of that. Wait for the ship to be shown off by CCs or for it to release, play it yourself then start making assumptions. Those 3 BBs he took out as you claimed could have been potatoes. We can't just judge now. You have to be patient on that

Missouri has it and its far from OP and has three more guns, more range, access to American mods which are very good, and finally way tankier and also very fast for a BB. Yes its 10km but it lasts longer

Bruh It has terrible armor and only 6 guns. You need to be prepared. Stop calling everything OP 30 second reload on 6 guns is never gonna be OP, magical shells or not

What if planes aren't regeneratable? What if the historical number of planes were given to a ship with a few in reserve and no more? The lower number of planes have higher HP? Or keep as is and just directly buff AA?

It is most definitely a class If Dinosaurs still existed wouldn't that be a race or it wouldn't be considered a race coz they would dumpster us hard. Is that logic being used here. CV is a class just like BB is a class and like DDs and CAs/CLs/SCs. Its broken becoz of its dumb mechanics and hopefully they fix the problem. The rockets are being worked on. Hopefully soon the bombs are as well. CV torps are fine

Just get Haida ASAP before 10.5 or you'll regret it Loyang ain't worth it anymore. Yes she has German hydro. But her gunpower has been powercrept to the ground. She literally has Benham firepower with Benham reload and worser range. Her health is also similar to Benham. And Benham is a torp boat and she can't fight any non japanese DDs (I meant the Shima line) because of her guns being lackluster and bad HP. Yes its a tier difference but both face tier 7-10. And her torps are slow with long range or fast with short range. Honestly if you want a Hydro DD there are some fair options of Hydro DDs. You can play Siliwangi which has way better guns than Lo yang thanks to her ballistics. Yes she has deep water torps and can't hit DDs but the guns comparison wise are better so that's the trade off. HSF Harekaze II is pretty terrible if you gunboat with her. But if you play the close range hydro torp boat playstyle (its quite the unique experience and works quite well in randoms) then she can work. Her guns are situationally very powerful and you can catch cruiser off guard with cits and torps. She is terrible in competitive but an ok pick for randoms especially if you want to try something new. If you want a normal DD with Hydro get Z-23 which isn't premium but put her permanent camo and she earns as much as a premium. She recently got her guns changed and while its completely fantasy now those guns gave her a good boost in gunpower which is what she needed for a long time. So 5 guns with German HE which is amazing against BBs, pretty good against cruisers and okish against DDs. She has German AP that slap broadsides quite well for some meaty 2-4K dmg with even 6k volleys on the average DD you face. She has good stealth at 6.2km (comparatively no it doesn't have better stealth than many Tier 8s but considering that the normal competition is T6, 7, 9 and 10 along with tier 8 and the fact that many DDs at T6 and 7 don't have good stealth to begin with, so the conceal is fairly good and workable, and god knows why ppl complain about it). Yes she doesn't have sub 6km conceal but she'd be a bit too powerful imo if she had that. He has a slightly worser hydro than the rest but 5km Hydro is very powerful and nothing to be shameful of. I have caught many players off guard with this hydro and surprisingly not on others coz Z-23 without hydro is a decent DD while the rest are kinda balanced around hydro so some of the players who maybe aware of what some exclusive ships bring to the table while they may not be aware of what some tech trees bring. Still all the hydros of T8 catch ppl off guard, and ig its just me but I catch ppl off guard way more in Z-23 (Ig I play its more that's why). And Z-23 has good torps. Fast reload, fairly hard hitting against T6-8, and pretty good range, and their speed is good as well. So there are your options for a hydro DDs. Z-35 is also an ok ship. Short range but fast torps, very very good guns with good range but very very american like ballistics at long range and she has british smoke aka the best smoke in the game. But if you have Z-23 you don't need Z-35 unless you badly need a premium Orkan is good. She is a lightning without one set of torps for a Radar. Like there are only two Radar DDs at T8 and its Hsienyang and Orkan. So comparatively Orkan has worser maneuverability characteristics (2 knots slower, 0.2 second slower rudder and 20m worser TC), slightly worser stealth with 200 less HP compared to Hsienyang (keep in mind I am comparing Orkan with Jersy and Hsienyang with Quan Rong, and most Pan Asian DDs have the pan asian unique commander with enhanced survivability so expect it to have it) and deep water torps. Orkan has better DPM and fire chance even with the Pan asian enhanced Pyrotechnician mounted, better survivability overall thnx to having a heal, and Fast torps that can hit DDs fairly regularly as well as cruiser, but DT does have the advantage against BBs. Orkan is worth getting, as it is a good cap contester, and can put up a fair fight against cruiser with he torps and guns. She is crap against BBs and that's where Hsienyang shines. TLDR get Haida and Orkan, don't get Lo Yang, gring yourself the German DDs line instead, or if you want a hydro premium DD get Siliwangi. HSF harekaze only if you want to try a new approach to playing a torp boat and a DD in general

Well if you think about it then Des Moines is from the 1950s so should be more efficient. Also Elbing which is a SP 1940, would have been completed in 1945 atleast (well this takes into account the number of complications of the design in the first place). So with that logic it should have better AA than Cleveland coz the AA fire control systems would be better. Also there is no AA aiming. So no reason to have artificially enhanced CD and flak. It could have same as DM with improved hit probability. As for it in game, I don't want this DD to be ripped of its AA, so I am fine with this. Just saying that DM should have more than that. -

Its more like using ASW plane mechanics. And the bombs individually do quite a lot of damage. But they are limited to a specific range. So completely different mechanics Its basically old Midway Bomber squad strike potential, except its right on top of you with no AA counter -

that's airstrike and they spawn on top of you. An actual CV goes through all layers of flak and egst its strike out. My point is, the current iteration of CVs wouldn't be as bad if a) AA actually worked b) When CV is spotted its gets punished hard, like fires on decks last 60 secs so no launching quads at that times, chunk damage, etc. -
As you all know, German DDs is considered [edited] most of the time. While the old line is quite good in my opinion, the new line is still pretty trash for now, nothing has been improved and the torps were nerfed. Just some suggestions on how this line can be improved. Now first lets look at some of the good things. I am going to show u the tier 10 coz it highlights the line Monstrous survivability:- Good AP Alpha Damage: 4,100 Muzzle Velocity: 960 m/s Better than average armor (although limited to DDs, low gun caliber CLs) 19mm bow and stern, with 25mm belt and deck. Kind of usuable AA with Def AA If running full stealth, not bad considering size Limited yet useful consumables As for other characteristics, it gets weaknesses that are to much, that the strengths don't matter. First of all, reduce the reload to 6 seconds Give them the old 14.4k torps, coz those are great considering the reload. Give them another useful consumable like emergency speed boost, or UK smoke or full speed smoke. Change the def AA, to something like 700%+ shell explosion, 150%+ continuous dmg, with 15-20 second duration and 40 second duration and more charges. Give the HE more fire chance. Give all the Germans, the German 6km hydro coz it gives them something above all other lines. Finally, give them armor that does something against cruisers, coz they are primary targets for this line. Maybe 36mm? Or 32mm? That's my suggestion Also for those who can't understand the point of speculation for improvements, look at flamu's perspective of the new German DD Also go to 35:30 for seeing how it will perform in random battles, against the average light cruiser like wooster, then think of suggestions we ca write and somehow convey these suggestions to WG, coz we need a good line this time

They are balancing rockets And I'd say CVs were much more OP back in the day against anything that wasn't an AA cruiser or BB. They could literally land upto 40k torp strikes, and 35k HE bombs drops with 3 or 4 fires. The current iteration is fine and what makes them OP is the AA being bad. If the AA is improved then it'll all be fine -

GJM is decent but yeah it is a stinker. Elbing is better coz better reload than felix, better turret traverse, better AP, better torps. What they can do is give the torps 55 knots of speed and maybe of a conceal of 1.1. Or keep the speed as is and give them something like 0.6 conceal. Then increase the pin of Z-31 and GJM Give them this HE (Damage - 2000, Fire chance - 10%, Penetration - 38mm) Give them a Heal or better armor like 36mm. To fight cruisers you either need to mitigate their damage or recover from it. I'd actually like the heal (Just like khaba but 4 charges base) And a speed boost Then I can see them as support gunships, with a focus on AP and has good survivability. -

Jesus I am not saying this is completely balanced. There is a lot of work left to balance these out. But they can be mitigated at their current state. And they aren't the OMG OP monsters we think they are. They are still broken, but not stupidly broken. A bit more work needs to be put into this Fingers crossed and hopefully we get a version of Airstrike that is balanced, powerful, can be countered and interesting. That's all Jesus ig ppl just like negativity and over exaggerating -

That makes no logical sense. The bombs are slow to drop so there is a certain amount of time before they land on you, and you can simply get out of the way. Same with torps. -
