not to mention, that most DDs don't have heal. So for eg, if a rocket squad spots you and attacks you, that's guaranteed 2k-4k HP gone, just poof. That, plus the spotting. In a DD, every point of HP counts. So losing guaranteed 2k-4k, affects you so much. In Tier 10, its like not taking SE, for the rest of the match. I am glad they did this change, if that was the plan -

Well Since the change did affect the general play of rockets which was point and click, it will take some time getting used to it seems German CVs seem to be less affected. Only 2 secs. And I presume they haven't introduced a cruiser with 2 sec rudder shift which can completely turn 90 degrees before the rockets hit. Some ppl say its a bad change for the game, coz Average CVs can't play properly anymore, and now they have to work harder to play CV. This is the general random guy on YT who said this. So point and click play = proper play Predicting someone's moves and estimating the proper angle of attack = Improper play, coz it requires more than point and click You can kind of see the general playerbase and the incompetent children in particular -

tf? With a timer nerf to give DDs a chance to maneuver away, even the big BBs with 14-20 second rudder shift and massive turning circle can't be hit? And cruisers also get smacked by it. Saw a venezia, get blapped by Hakuryu rockets. So I don't get what you are saying here -

Scharnhorst can't pen BBs and can you give me a list of the number of cruisers it can overmatch besides the British CLs which literally every other BB can overmatch. -

Nice Except for the last one which I disagree with There has to be some fire saturation mechanic which makes the duration, percentage dmg, and chance of the fire on that specific section less than before. Superstructure shots also need to be addressed coz when you angle, the enemy has the fire at the superstructure to get 10-20k salvos which is ridiculous. My suggestion is make superstructure eat only 10% of the dmg from AP, no matter whether its over pen or pen. That way you still do dmg to angled ships, but stupid amounts. Also low caliber BBs should have special AP pen angles in compensation for no overmatch capability, coz a fast reload on shitty guns is equivalent to a crap reload on crap guns against anyone with a brain. -
Imma be honest with you, a line of yoloers isn't exactly what the game needs, or what the player base wants. Pretty sure there are more DDs than Friesland.

well, there are better lines for torp boats The line proposed by @invicta2012 is a bit better imo Let Dutch DDs be torp boats So third German DD split, or French DD split, and crap like that

Elbing seems to be quite powerful Saw a fair few vids, and they say its good. I just hope, that WG doesn't nerf the crap out of Elbing. I am hoping to get it soon, only 20K XP away So what's your Opinion on it? Is it too powerful, is it balanced, or is it crap?

you build is kinda messed up This is my suggestion Hydro flag and mod should already give enough hydro duration AR is a must on DDs, especially hybrids where you wanna use both torps and guns FB is a poor choice, coz you won't open water gunboat all the time. A straight up reload buff at BFT is better. You also get an extra point to spend. For the last two points, AP skill. Its better coz it significantly buffs your AP DPM and having gunther on Z-52 buffs the reload on 140 main battery hits. It goes upto 400k+ AP DPM. And on broadsides as well as angled superstructures, it chonks hard

Japanese CVs are ok in the current meta. They have quite good plane conceal on torp bombers, which should be your primary weapon against anything isn't a DD. The AP bombs are quite good against cruisers and BBs Rockets looked good against DDs, but this update they were nerfed. Can't tell how big the nerf is, but it is a nerf. Its quite a hard hitting CV and fairly versatile. Planes are quite fast, and you can stealthily start a torpedo attack, and by the time you are spotted, your attack is already done. Its fun when it works. German CVs are CVs that require a brain to do well. You have to think about what to attack, when to attack, and you need pre-scouting before you plan your attacks. Your planes are the fastest of the bunch, so they can dodge flak a lot, and individual strike power, while class limited, is very big. AP rockets against cruisers. Its a 2 second arming turn, so your angle or attack, needs to be thought of, as well as proper timing. The rockets can blap cruisers for a third of their HP. Against BBs, with proper aiming at superstructure and upper belt, you can get 5-6k attack flights. The bombers are good against cruisers but most particularly against BBs. They can nuke the bejesus out of them. Three cits yield 26.5k (its an estimate, I am saying from pure memory and experience). You usually get 1-2 cits, so its good dmg they can't heal back. The torps have low dmg and flood chance, but with high speed, and good spread so they are quite good against DDs. I would suggest to save up one attack flight and send em back to the CV. The extra remaining planes, are there for an extra attack if possible, or for eating the continuous dmg, while the first attacking flight does the dmg. The planes are fragile, but extremely fast, so use them well. And no, no AP bomber is good against DDs, even as a last resort. You'll hardly hit, them and if you do, you'll get dmg in three digit numbers, not 4. For the Japanese rockets, and for German, its their torps. MF You did it I was trying to find DDs with these 135mm guns apart Paolo, but I only found the Comandanti Medaglio D'Oro This proposed line will make much more sense

Yeah that could work too. Navigatori could have its own gimmicks to make it special at T8. And since Soldati preceded the D'Oro design, that could actually be nice.
