Odin secs however were insanely inaccurate before you built for them. SO yeah. Even BBs are kinda ok up against an Odin. Tirpitz is way better coz secs are better, and she has torps thrown and 20k more HP, give or take a few.

Best smoke in the game imo. faster cooldown that standard, they last fairly long, have a lot of charges. They are quite good. -

The British and German (the main line, V-25 - Z-52) fill all the boxes High tier American ships also tick those boxes There's your three lines to go for. German DDs are good jack of all trade DDs even today. Their gun power is good, their torp power at once isn't good, but over time, their torp power becomes good. The German DD get hydro from T5. Maass and T-22 are the only ones you want to torp boat more. T-22 becoz she doesn't get the good gun power yet and her torps are very good. Maass coz her detection is trash, so she can't catch anything by surprise, not coz her gunpower are bad. The rest are quite good. Z-23, Z-46 and Z-52 hold up. Z-23, is one of the best hydro DDs coz she has good gunpower to back her hydro up unlike Lo Yang or HSF Harekaze (this ship has a different playstyle). Z-46 has good gunpower and torp power at her tier, and one of the best DDs at her tier. Z-52 has quite good gunpower, and torp power, and she gains the 6km hydro which is very good and her conceal is just 100m worse than her Hydro. So if anything out spots her, she catches them in her hydro and outguns. The ones she can't outgun have worser conceal by quite a lot, so you can work around this dynamic. Only Smaland, and Daring have similar conceal and can challenge Z-52 in a straight fight. The torps in general are quite fast, their dmg is medium, and they have fast recharge rates, with workable range. Their AP also has to be used in a lot of scenarios to do well in them (they have very good alpha strike and that combined with the good reload makes for some fun moments and scenarios), while HE which has 32mm pen and decent fire chance is best used to whittle down enemy cruisers and BBs, and against DDs if your AP is bouncing. Overall they require a lot of skill and patience for consistent and good results. Their general downside, is having a relatively bad smoke, but its smoke, so its still useful. The HP pools on all of them are all quite excellent, except for Z-52 which in all honesty, is mediocre in the HP department. They are quite good JoAT ships and exceptional cap contesters. They also quite good at locking down caps. T-61 is a good captain trainer for them. The british are gun boats with acceptable torp power (ig you could call them hybrids). On the lower tiers, they are kinda meh, mid tiers are quite good tho. Their guns hit hard at those tiers, with an acceptable rate of fire. You can single launch those torps which no other nations besides commonwealth DDs and cruisers can do. They have an amazing set of consumables. Short burst smoke is smoke which lasts for a brief period (40 seconds smoke dispersion time, 10 seconds smoke charge duration to lay down the smoke) is very good to disengage unfavourable fights, to evade getting spotted by aircraft, to give a breather to teammates and help them disengage, etc. She has a Short range Hydro, that lasts for a long time (3 minutes or so I believe on the higher tier ones atleast), which is useful for not getting hit by torps, or screening for allies, or for extremely short range engagements. However they don't get speed boost. The higher tier ones (Tiers 9 and 10 is particular), are excellent DD hunters. Their HE pen is the worst at 19mm. This means that she'll struggle to consistent damage to cruisers (except the ultra light ones and the british ones) and BBs with HE. But she has no problem against the average DD (except the ones with special armor), although maybe the T9 while struggle coz she has same reload as the mid tier ones but she does hunt DDs well. Also unlike the lower tier ones, their AP is good. The RoF combined with low fuse threshold (thnx to the caliber) and improved pen angles allows them to consistently damage broadside enemies of any kind. They lack pen and alpha tho. The conceal is also good. Their torps do take a fair time to reload, their dmg is kinda of mediocre, but she does get to single launch those torps, which is quite good against caught off or stationary ships. They are quite competitive, and it'll teach you the core values of DDs. TLDR. Good DD hunters, and are good DDs in general. Cossack is a good captain trainer for them. The American DDs are gun boats till Benson. They are focused on short range engagements, where their guns excel and their torps can do stuff coz they are quite limited in range. Use islands in the lower tier ones. Their HP pools are kinda meh across all tiers. Mahan is the first of the American DDs, that have decent torps and can actually stealth fire them unlike ships uptil farragut. Benson however gets the first good torps of the line. It gets the torps that Mahan gets, but with the torp upgrade, they hit quite hard and they are quite stealthy, but the conceal aspect is becoz the torps are quite slow and reload is mediocre. Her guns are good at close range, and for island camp farming. The Fletcher is the best of the entire line tier for tier. She gets the same guns as Benson, but even better torps. They have good reach at 10.5 km, good damage, better than average speed, ok detection and a ok reload rate, and she spews out 10 per volley. The gearing is honestly more of a torp boat than gunboat which is kinda weird, but ok ig. Her torps have an amazing reach at 16.5km, if you go for the torp upgrade, and while the torp upgrade costs you a bit of damage per torp, its still 17k which is good. She spews out this torps at a fair rate (and very good rate if you build for them), and they have above average speed with a fair conceal. I like this torps more than Shima torps in all honesty. She is quite nasty in a gunfight (ofc if you don't use AP) but not the god she once was. American DDs, typically have very good conceal and maneuverability although they are typically slower than other nation's DDs. They also have a standard set of consumables, however American smoke lasts insanely long, so you can smoke farm for a long time, and if you want you can take the enhanced American DFAA instead of Speed boost. The american DDs are exceptional Team players. These are the three best lines to start with. Also, German DDs are good, you just gotta use your brain a bit more. Wish you luck in battles -
She was Until the commander rework hit. The thing was, when you got into pushing in ranked (before the rework) you had good armor to protect yourself and your superstructure was not massive like GK. It was more normal. Heck I mistook it for a russian once, its that tanky 1v1/1v3. But your secs helped in 40% of the fights you took. You whittled down the enemy you were brawling with. As you were approaching, you used those secs to set fires, and do do consistent dmg, and once you got in to the proper distance, that's where your guns and torps come in. This ship would have been very good in most situations, if the secs were as good as they were before, and she had the HP pool she did before in the first iteration, and if she had the 20 sec reload. They reason they gave for the nerf, was becoz ppl were doing very well with her. They didn't consider that, only CCs and supertesters had her, and they were 7/10 decent to good players. The bad players didn't even get her yet, and it was a premium so ppl would have whaled her. Oh well.

I ain't 15 tho If I am reported for playing a CV, its not my fault they are OP. They are in the game, and my objective is to win, by hook or by crook, especially in ranked. If I am making it unfair for the enemy, by being a better player, then I can't help it. If I am reported for that reason, I have a general idea of who can report, so I report them back

you are probably better off without her She is kinda trash at doing pretty much everything. Pommern does the hydro torp combo better, and AGir is still in the shop.

Many do Especially the ones who don't usually talk in forums or check devblogs and if they fire AP, you just angle in and juke it, and by that time, you kinda beat that DD in a gunfight (The elbing that is, with both HE and AP, coz accuracy is still there, while the AP dmg is so high that even with 5-6 AP overpens, you still get about 2k dmg, and they try to angle, you pen the DD, and deal massive damage. The HE still does high dmg salvos thanks to accuracy.) -
100% agreed Plymouth is fairly unique thnx to her 16 guns and utility And Edin on steroids is worth the buy imo. Honestly, you can kinda get the Stalingrad experience with Petro. Then again as a guy who has Stalin for a while, its very accurate at range and with its protection and competitive

all BBs can cit through the bow. And you don't brawl a CV when you find it, do you? You can't set it on fre, and when you do it lasts for a whole 5 secs (coz CVs didn't die to fires irl, did they?), and they are kinda tanky, coz you find them 14km away and most shells do arc and hit the deck. Its hilarious, and dumb af

Idc about devstriking BBs. That's some dumb crap anyway I meant dev striking cruisers. Like all they need to do is angle a bit. Guns are useless. And the HE is so horrendously laughable. And she faes Tier 9s as well, with cruisers having a bigger caliber and more HP, and absolutely dumpstering Scharnhorst. That's another story tho, coz SCs are kinda dumb at times tbh. But at her tier, she doesn't have that much impact coz she can't dmg for crap unless they are broadside, and even when they are broadside, shells tend to land around (could be becoz my RnG is crap) with maybe a couple hitting home and doing pretty much nothing. She can be deadly, but that's like 1/5 times. Ig I am playing wrong coz let's face it, I am definitely not the best around. I am thoroughly average player. I do make mistakes that cost me dearly. I just can't make Scharnhorst work, even tho her sister Gneisenau, is my favourite and default BB to play (moved a bit away from T10). -
atleast when you find an arty, you blow it up in about 1-3 shots. CVs take ages to kill I have seen Yamato guns all bounce the Midway's deck (courtesy of flambass) its kinda dumb tbh.

Ok so lemme get this straight You screw over the Japanese CVs hard. British CVs are kinda fine since you carry crap ton of rockets, US CVs also get a fair nerf, and German CVs are kinda fine Except you nerf the Graf Zeppelin AGAIN??!! Tiny Tims now look even more towards the heavy ships weapon. I honestly don't get it I am a pretty average CV player So can someone explain the impact of these changes?

which ship you suggest for steel Bourgogne, FDR or other?

We have Plymouth, Austin, Stalingrad, Bourgogne, Shikishima, and FDR Plymouth is a high alpha, High utility ship. She has 16 guns, and they throw out a lot of crap, and 7.5 sec reload for 16 guns is pretty good. She has very good utility. She lacks HE tho. She also have some belt armor to bounce even Bb shells. She is basically an Edinburgh on steroids. Key to play this ship is in a support role for the team. She has good conceal and even torps for good measure. Very good ship and I don't get the she the hate she got Austin is a unique American CL with insane burst dmg potential. She has HE and SAP. So she can dmg a lot of ships. She has one set of Fletcher torps per side. Unlike other cruisers, let alone Ultra CLs, she has 32mm plating. So she effectively counters 18 inch guns with angling. Only 18.1 inch guns and higher counter that and well, you don't have many of those, do you? She has fair AA defenses. She is one of the only American high tier cruisers without having radar, the other being Anchorage. In turn however she gets a RB. A very good RB that is. 75% cut from reload, and unlimited charges. This ship is pretty much nothing without that RB. She is quick and stealthy too. But its all about the burst she can apply. She is amazing with the team, as you can ambush the enemy so well. I high risk, high reward ship as one would say. Stalingrad is a soviet super cruiser. She has good armor and HP, amazing guns, and good utility, at the cost of maneuverability and conceal. She can tank dmg fairly easily when angled, and deal dmg very well. She has the best cruiser AP in the game, with the best sigma at 2.65. She isn't as OP as it once was, but she is quite nasty to face. HE is kinda meh tbh, but you still blap DDs pretty hard. Her guns have a long reload for a cruiser tho. She is pretty much a BB at this point. She turns like a high speed train tho (which she is coz she is also has a good base speed) and the rudder shift is pretty meh. Her detection is pretty meh. This tells you that you have to play this ship mid to long range, as you don't have torps, you have a high freeboard, and weak broadside. You have Radar, to help your team with DDs. Overall a good ship. Bourgogne is a unique BB. She is fast, fairly well concealed, and is kinda meh in armor. She has the lowest HP pool for a BB at T10, and has 32mm all around, which makes her an HE favourite for German DDs, IFHE Japanese DDs and CLs, all CAs, and BBs, and also overmatchable at all angles from Yamato and other 18.1 inch gun and higher caliber gun armed Bbs. What she does have tho, is insane speed, twelve 15 inch guns with good HE and AP, good reload and sigma, and she also gets the reload booster. She is another flanker like the main line French, but does it better coz the reload is good, speed is amazing, it has RB, and she has good detection. She can easily rush down a lone ship and kill it. She is quite fun while being competitive at the same time. Also good AA. Shikishima is a Yamato with bigger and better guns at the cost of AP pen and number of guns, better secs, better AA, and better Rudder. She was quite fun to meme around with a sec build before the rework. Now she is just a Yamato with different guns. Performance wise, both are very similar, so its better not spend steel on Shiki, unless you want that gun sound so bad FDR is a good CV. She has a lot of planes with stupidly high HP pools. In compensation, he planes are very slow, and they take a while to restore. She throws out a lot of bombs/torpedoes/rockets per attack flight. She is extremely hard to deal with in a CA, and impossible to deal with in a BB. DDs are sorta fine becoz of the rocket rework. There is no best here, it depends on what your playstyle is, or what preference you have. If you want an all round good cruiser, Plymouth, if you want a high burst damage ship there is Austin and Bourgogne, if you want a good supercruiser, there is Stalingrad, if you like CVs, there is FDR. There are some unique playstyles in this list. So get what you like. Hopefully this helps you Reposted this from another forum as I am to lazy to write -
