    YOSHINO'S ARMOR

Petro has the Soviet BB formula. crap dispersion at long ranges, but closer you get the better it gets. Yoshino gets that base accuracy out of the box with none of that. Its good at long range and good at close range except 80% of the BBs that normal show up can overmatch you. The T10s that is. And your's bow is 27 so 16 inch guns can cit you from the front ok ig the range at which you deleted that Austin, is 10km. Any supercruiser would have devstruck that ship at 10km. Like all ships even the hyperaccurate ones had a chance of not killing him, but fortunately, you had the other side of the coin. But that isn't exactly a defining feature of Yoshino. PR, Alaska, Siegfried, Agir, even "normal" cruisers like Moskva, or Henri could pull that off although that is less likely in that case.

I meant the first actual BC concept was Siegfried, or Constellation. The first historical BC was Kongo

what petro accuracy? It has better than Petro accuracy Zao doesn't tank that much. And Yoshino does have some great offensive firepower. No one can deny that. Although BBs nowadays, just sit at the back and snipe, so they tend to be alive towards the end of the game (atleast here in NA server). And Yoshino at close range can bring some insane firepower, but you have to hope and be sure that that first shot does the damage necessary to outlast your opponent. Otherwise, Yoshino can't outlast its opponent. It can maybe take it down with em becoz torps, but there is a good chance you'll die before you get to do that. Yoshino is definitely not a cruiser that can survive up close 1. That was a nice shot bro 2. Yeah I think at that range, any supercruiser could pull it off 3. I mean if you position yourself well in a stalingrad at those ranges, then its not easy to kill. Now that takes a bit of scale on where to position. 4. Lack of radar doesn't bother me either but its definitely a downside, and a nice utility tool to have.

dealing dmg for eg. I said it takes little effort to do well in Yoshino. Now whether the player is "able" to do that is subjective, but assuming you are a good player, it requires very little effort to do well and rack up a lot of dmg in Yoshino Which any other ship can do. Yoshino does the dmg part well tho. 1. Yes that requires you to y'know, use your eyes (although its debatable whether ppl do that) 2. SA and knowledge of ships is different from skill. Knowledge and skill are two different things 3. It does. But in Yoshino, you just take a good spot and farm dmg, angled away, and if a BB salvo is coming you can dodge it with rudder 4. Very little skill. Basic aiming, one of the first things a player learns in this game There is no benefit in the team tanking in Agir or dodging in Yoshino. Its a benfit of your own survival that we are talking about for this point so idk, where did team come from here He'll blow up regardless of the ship (even the so called biased no skill Petro) Its a glass canon, so basic amount of skill that an average player in a cruiser, is required. I think you took the "no skill" literally instead of relatively. Survival at those ranges doesn't take that much more skill than what the average player should have learnt in his first cruiser grind. At close range its a different story as you need islands, to push in or turn out to use your torps. In Yoshino there is a chance of over penetrating everything, something that Agir doesn't get coz excessive upper belt, and pretty unremarkable turtleback. So one wrong move, best case scenario you lose 40% of your HP through just raw pens, worst case scenario, you blow up If you are brain dead and keep exposing that side, any cruiser will blow up. So if you have the basic skill of angling to bounce upto 16 inch guns, presenting a smaller profile to BB guns, and dodging, then you'll survive. Its not exactly extraordinary skill that this ship teaches you for the first time.

No ship can an all time border HE spammer. At some point you have to push in. I just said that its fairly weak at pushing. Also Thunderer is called an HE spammer to, while it also has good AP. Yoshino spamming HE all game without firing 1 round of AP, still racks up a lot of dmg (I have tried it and got 150k dmg in a match that lasted like 8 mins coz it was a roflstomp). The Elbing is an AP farmer even tho it has situations where its HE will do more dmg. Venezia is a SAP spammer, even tho there are situations where its AP will just do better. A ship is considered a (insert shell type) spammer when said shell type is used more than the other. Yeah no. Yoshino AA is utterly mediocre. DPS is mediocre, and number of flak is average, with pretty mediocre range. It can defend itself from T8 CVs maybe, but def not T10 ones, and DFAA is not really worth running over hydro. And like I said. Hydro is very nice to have. If you predict the torps right and have that hydro running, the Yoshino can absolutely dodge them. However if you are caught off-guard, then You won't dodge all of them. A Yoshino can't chase a DD down, if that DD has a brain and doesn't want to engage. There are very few cruisers that can do that. Hard hitting torps, absolutely. However they are shima torps and are detected from the moon. Still they are nice to have at close quarters although the firing angles are utter garbage, typical of all Japanese cruisers that aren't the Atago. Repair party is a feature available to all cruisers at this tier. I really don't like the ship. I presented my points why, so that if ppl care to read about it and your points too, atleast they know what they are buying. You presented the good. I presented the bad. That should actually give them a more informed opinion if they read both our points neutrally, so having this debate isn't too bad, jus' saying.

    YOSHINO'S ARMOR

No I am not always right. That was never the point. An opinion on ship is based on their experience, not a feeling I never insulted your nationality or anything. Sorry, if you expect discrimination from me, wrong person bud. I actually hail from India and am a software engineer The ship that do require skills can't just farm damage for free with very little effort. I said Agir requires skill to play coz when angled it can be tanky, but when broadside, you eat big dmg. But the possibility of tanking a bit allows you push in when the BBs are somewhere else. Then the hydro, and torps plus accurate guns allow you to deal with a lot of ships. But just hydro and pretty impressive torp belt for a cruiser doesn't make you immune, and if caught, you will get dumpstered. WIth proper aim you can delete cruisers. The HE is weaker than other super cruisers so you can't just sit in the back and farm a target for 10 minutes from all angles and rack up 100k dmg. To be effective, you need to look for opportunities, you need to punish good targets, sometimes even making game deciding yolos. Proper ammo usage, will usually yield you good results and over usage of one ammo will not, especially if you use HE too much. Agir requires a lot of thought of the situation to be effective, imo, whilst, just requires you stay far from trouble as you are too big and sluggish and your armor is crap, so you can farmed down especially well. Now when its late game with a few ships left, even a Slava can push up. Yoshino can definitely push up and it 1v1 a cruiser. However apart from your typical cruiser hydro, you don't really have tools to deal with DDs. Now don't get me wrong. I'd rather have hydro than nothing, but if a DD does catch you fully broadside, even with hydro, there is a good chance that you'll eat atleast 1 or 2 torps. Its very big, and long, and very sluggish. And now at close ranges, not only BBs, but even a well played cruiser or heavy DD, can go to your flank and farm you. Agir in that regard is fairly nimble thnx to less TC and half a knot lower speed, and the ship being a bit shorter, and better hydro allows better torp dodging. Agir isn't as ez to play Yoshino. Now you do require the basic aiming skill in Yoshino, coz shooting at 15km isn't exactly the easiest thing in the world, but other than that, its fairly easy to master, but also fairly ez to f up. In Agir its a bit trickier to master, and ez to f up too. So yeah.

Then ig I was a bit harsh so sry @Big_Daddy5 I don't get why ppl love Yoshino, its just so boring to for me. Either farm free dmg at 20km with no skill or get blapped. Even a cruiser that no one likes, Agir is way more fun imo, and doing dmg and winning in her, feels rewarding, and earnt. But I will admit. A yoshino clutch can be intense

    T10 Russian CV - Nakhimov

I think Nakhimov could be a strong CV Coz you deliver all that firepower in one go, and well AA can't stop the first strike, as designed by WG So you mitigate the devastating strike well with AA, coz planes are low HP and slow. But you can't stop it unless you are in a blob of ships, and at that point only FDR squads can survive that crap. Although I did see Flamu showing some clips of the Nakhimov in action and the planes don't seem to get shot down. So idk honestly We just have to wait and see. Although one thing Ik for sure. I will not play these CVs, unless I hear that they are fun. The only CVs I play now are the Germans, coz I find them to be fun High risk of losing planes coz they have low HP, but the speed and the alpha makes them worth it

    YOSHINO'S ARMOR

exactly. Thnx for agreeing with me The current Japanese super cruisers aren't good at pushing. They are as sluggish as all supercruisers but don't have good armor to compensate like Alaska, or Stalingrad, PR, or Siegfried

    YOSHINO'S ARMOR

Ofc some ppl love it I just said why some don't and why I don't And if I want to be the BB after they die, I'd be in a Stalingrad which is way more accurate and consistent with AP, or even Alaska and Siegfried, significantly more tankier

    ST - 0.10.7 - New ships

true. We do have BCs in the game with BB plating. But is their playstyle that of BCs? Or Fast BBs? Scharnhorst can still fight a BB fairly effectively. Odin in a 1v1 despite the lack of HP, can fight a BB, thnx to its low freeboard and armor. We have super cruisers in the game, but we can't call them a BC, becoz they don't have BB firepower. Sure 305mm guns is quite impressive, but if you actually think about it, you actually have T4 BB firepower, which is definitely not impressive for a BB at that tier, plus their protection makes them overall, weak BBs, so they put them as cruisers, where they do quite well. And as a cruiser, their protection is quite good. I mean you could argue the small gun German BBs also had unremarkable firepower, but keep in mind that they were reasonably fast, and very well armored, so they could take on many ships 1v1, fairly well. The first battlecruiser was Siegfried (actually no, but its how I'd like to think), as while it was reasonably tanky, it actually had BB firepower, and was fairly fast. The first actual BCs however, was Constellation. It had BB firepower, and was pretty dang quick, however, it was poorly armored and introduced the first of the low plating BBs, and was advertised a s BC, and showed us the first look of core battlecruiser gameplay. Repulse is probably the next BC coming along with this new BC line. The BCs we have are doing the job of a fast BB, as they have good speed, good protection, and good firepower. While these BCs are supposed to have amazing speed, mediocre protection, and reasonable firepower (great against cruisers, fair against DDs, pretty ok against a BB, but it can't outlast a BB, or outgun one). Constellation introduced this to us, so hopefully, these German BCs take this concept to the next level. Yes that would indeed help. But yes the BB designation would make less sense, however, what they can do, is that, they can introduce sub-classes, and introduce, new skill tree which combines cruiser and BB skills (preferably some of the attack skills of cruisers, coz their offensive firepower base isn't great to begin with, and BB survivability skills), and have a slightly different symbol than a BB, and their own unique limitation? So we would have Submarines, Destroyers, Cruisers, Battleships, Aircraft carriers And to divide them into subclasses Submarines, Destroyers, Destroyer leaders, light cruisers, heavy cruisers, Super cruisers, Battlecruisers, Battleships, Light escort carriers, Heavy Fleet carriers, and Hybrids. Now this could mess up the current MM today, but its already quite rigged so that should kinda be reworked, and their game engine should be upgraded, becoz its crap. Ik this is kinda trailing off the topic, but this could be a good way to classify ships in game, imo

    ST - 0.10.7 - New ships

I think they will keep the reduced plating to indicate that these are BCs Just like CLs and CAs have different plating too I personally think that these ships should be bad against BBs, but good against Cruisers and DDs, as they have enough speed to keep up with them, enough gunpower and hydro to dodge torps and gun them down. They better buff the speed on the last 3 ships (the T10 mostly to make it better than T9 or T8's speed), and increase their sigma. 1.7 from T3-6, 1.8 or 1.9 on T7-10. And give them Z-46 torps ffs. There we go. So they will have the speed and conceal to flank around, and catch and chase cruisers, and also the hydro and so called good secondaries to deal with DDs. However unreliably good AA against CVs, and crap against BBs coz they can't tank for long. If the torps are kept as is, then these torps are more like your area denial torps. Like you fire them in the direction where you think and predict an ship might attack you from, etc etc.

    YOSHINO'S ARMOR

I just gave my opinion and disagreed with yours. That doesn't make me the boss of the game. I personally find the ship boring so I gave my opinion in case someone just doesn't like sitting at the back and just sees the torps and big guns and goes brawler brawler. And wdym I can't play it properly. My avg dmg in her is 150k and avg kill is 1.2. I think I know how to play this ship. Its still boring. If you have an understanding of the game, then no, some ships don't require that much effort to do well in.

    YOSHINO'S ARMOR

surviving the battle to do dmg requires situational awareness that average player should have, and is required for all active surface ships, even Thunderers coz they can get cit across the map by other BBs. But dealing dmg? Yeah you just spam HE, at long range and do the dmg. There is no effort. You just angle away, present a small profile, use your eyes to dodge shells, and keep farming. You didn't say that, I said it and its my opinion of the ship. You said its fun, and I disagreed. Its boring as hell. In Zao, you do HE spam, but with that concealment, you can do some ninja plays so atleast some fun is there. Yoshino however is boring coz you can't do anything like. It does one of the primary focus of cruisers aka dealing dmg well, but that's it. New here mate?
