Sorry, couldn't reply to this earlier, but holy crap. That penetration is stupidly high. Why don't all German cruisers have this kinda pin. Hell, why don't German BBs have great pin for their tier. Edit - Which site are u using btw??

That's not the point here. The point is that, calling something bad or good and saying it will suck when the ship is at its first version is dumb. Don't know why ppl can't wait. But either way, i have my hopes for a place in world of warships on this concept full-on.

No, all have improved angles, and all are very potent in their tier except for the ones upto tier 5 amd including Tier 5

all DDs have 19 to 21mm armor pin thresholds before the AP arms, so DD AP will be effective against these DDs. And it can't shatter atleast Cruiser HE. So I can't see the point of it. Even if it had 50mm plating, it could shatter a lot of HE. But it can't. But it works angled well. So I'm still hopeful. I am not some guy who just looks at the German flag and goes 'meh' like some of the CCs. I see some potential. I mean they are trying something new, so lets give them their time. I mean I remember some ppl just saying Ita Cruisers are bad, and look at them now.

Umm......... What is the point of this armor considering the Khaba has 50 mm belt. And if it is to take on light cruisers, it either needs what the kleber has which is special saturation and speed, or armor atleast up to 35mm. I honestly don't see the point of this armor. But anyway, thnx a bunch for the pics. It gave me a much more clear view on this DDs. Btw, is there any penetration charts on these DDs for AP, coz i can't seem to find em, or they are inaccesible for free.

I am ok with that, but the DD i was talking about. An AP focused DD with decent torps would be a nice ship to have. And i really want to see more competitive ships of Germany since all other nations have them.

Ok, since you have an account, can you like show pics of the DDs, armor model with the exact numbers, from tier 7 to 10. Would be a nice help, since I don't see the point of paying money to see 1 or 2 armor models. So if u can plz send photos of the models

I know that. And i know its OP, but Germany doesn't have any OP ships (not counting CVs, coz the whole concept in an arcade game is OP). And since its AP focused so it can be countered, and maybe remove the smoke if its too OP (I just realised that with bad concealment smoke is useless anyway). So a no smoke AP focused DD with decent torps should be fine. And the torps aren't anything to right home about. And its gonna be pretty big sizewise. So a massive target to hit, since it doesn't have French speed or european concealment. So another ambush predator for all classes of ships apart from full prepared CVs and subs. Would be worth the steel atleast.

Can you link the exact page where you saw this armor plating, becoz i went to the sit you said and didn't see any of the new German DDs

Ok here is my point. Let it be an ambush DD, which has god tier AP, and reliable HE. Good reload (3.5 sec maybe?), Decent range, and torps that trade a 5 second reload for slightly higher dmg torps compared to halland. In fact, if this is the 1945 design, let it be a representative of both German gunboats, and the German Torp boats (currently as of 10.0, its Z-44), and the upcoming German "mini cruiser line" DDs. Its downside should be bad concealment (not as ridiculous as Russians, but pretty close), and not that great handling, and its AA should not be that great, but good enough against half strikes, or dangerous for CVs, who stays in the AA for too long. So you know, literally the pinnacle of German DDs. But as a consequence, it should have the weakest ASW, and since German HE is pretty low alpha, it should not be that effective against Subs. So, it should a decent no. of torps which reload fast but don't deal the most dmg at 14400, and have decent speed of 67 knots, and Range of 10 km (Between Z-35, Z-52, and Z-44 range on torps) and it loses to halland in torp reload, speed, and accuracy, while these German torps (same as the high tier OG German DD line) get almost 50% more dmg per torp, albeit not as accurate. Eight 128 mm guns with high AP alpha and very good pin for its caliber (I hope WG gives these and the OG DD line very good pin becoz pin is a very important thing for AP to be succesful, and fuse short enough like 21 ms which allows it to hurt DDs and light cruisers, and some lightly armored Heavy cruisers. The HE should be the same as Z-52 (reliable and resonably competitive but not that good dmg wise and decent fire chance) for angled ships. Large HP, something like 23K base?? Okish speed which is further helped by speed boost. Good AA for a DD, but is still beaten by Halland and Gearing full AA build with DFAA. Same smoke as Z-35 (aka British smoke, but it has one less charge, but last 5 seconds longer) or maybe give it standard German DD smoke, but 6 km Hydro. So it basically does a bit of everything from all three German DDs playstyles, AP focused, Hybrid of Torp boat and gun boat. and being the pinnacle of German DDs. Maybe make it a steel ship (No steel ships of Germany are there so about damn time we get one). So this is what i propose.

Remember they are Roon secondary guns. So must more armored than other DD guns. Also you will broadside when its firing HE and when its shooting AP, just angle up

Do you mean by tier last 2-3, or the premiums they released last 2-3?? Becoz if you say Z-23, Z-46, and Z-52 are bad, i will vomit lol. I used to play them on my NA account and i love them. The Z-46 and Z-52 are monsters if you play them right. And Z-46 has american/british concealment lol

no becoz with skills this thing has reliable HE and a good reload for its caliber i.e same reload as gun build kleber without reload booster. And it has double the HP of a Farrugut and even AP overpins will deal at max will deal 2.4K and considering the dispersion, that salvo will definitly come atleast five times in a gun fight with proper aim. So talk about Gearing if you want to, but Farraggut? Are u meming? Looks like you only looked at the downsides and not the upsides lol.

Ok, you may see me as a bad player here,but I had an account once and this is my EU account and just started. So I'm just gonna state my opinion here. I think WG wants to make another ambusher. But here the French have speed, the European has long range trop ambushes and something like Småland has some insane guns. But Germans have only AP?? Look I think armor on a DD will never work, but it's nice to have for trolls, but I think it should have consumables to help it ambush. While Klebèr has MBRB, the new German DDs should probably have emergency speed boost and since it has decent concealment, that is all that's needed. Also ambushers need some way to mitigate the dmg they received, like the Khaba has heal, Småland has heal and French have speed and special hull that saturates dmg more. So I think the Germans should get heal, becoz Khaba has heal as well as armor, but since Khaba has speed which was ridiculous at it's time. So since Germans don't have any initial speed, let them have temporary speed to rush down or escape danger. The HE is bad, but still reliable enough against DDs to defend itself. And with the skills rework it will help the German DDs. So still questionable but this line has potential.
