    These New German BCs....

I have played a few random matches in her I have to admit, having that speed, maneuverability and conceal, is real nice. It feels like a sort of oversized protected cruiser that goes fast. I have run down many cruisers, against BBs, the pe isn't good enough but she can brawl. Now I generally kite and draw enemy fire with this ship. I want to brawl, but its no Kaiser, which has some punchy guns to back up the secondaries. And the secondaries themselves aren't the best. So I have switched to a standard BB build which seems to work better. My opinion is that, the T4 and most probably the T5 are not worth speccing for secondaries. T6+ should be the spec choice. And 6km is no range when with your speed, you are in and out in no time. Its a reasonably powerful and unique T4. I def recommend it.

Ig I could agree with you with a few ships. Z-39 was one hell of a questionable removal But then again, there is some logic in the statement of too popular, for eg Smolensk (which was OP af) and Jean Bart (which was popular af) This is WG we are talking about. Ik they don't have the best of intentions but I did see some logic to some of their removals. I am not crediting them, just stating that there is a tiny bit of logic, even tho its not with the best of intentions

too late. Musashi was removed a while ago and Nelson was removed a couple of months ago They were removed due to either being too strong, or too popular, or a combination of both Rn, the only way to get them is loot crates, so good luck getting them

    These New German BCs....

This is what its showing on dispersion calculator And from experience, at about 10km the guns hit alright but the dmg feels so low. Never felt like this is Nassau coz its an all out brawler blistering with guns. Moltke fires only 8 low caliber shells at a reasonable angle. And I had to get fairly close for these guns to do well Atm, its armor holds up fine, so it isn't a bad T4, as it also has some good speed and maneuverability as well as a fair bit of conceal So my feelings are mixed on Moltke atm, but it could have done w/o the nerfs it got earlier Btw, the range nerf was not applied for some reason, only the RoF. I wish it was the opposite tbh

They are actually alright vs "normal" DDs. The AP can do massive alpha strikes against DDs that angle, and while dodging and weaving, or in order to expose less broadside, and angle is usually presented and the AP can pen it. As for the HE, its actually good vs DDs coz 150mm blast radius knocks engines and guns out frequently, and high accuracy allows for most shells to hit and do 2-3k salvoes, and 25mm plating and high HP pool gives it a fair bit of sustain for DDs w/o heals. They aren't good brawlers, but at their comfortable range, they can take a fight quite well. There is no such things as "conclusive community opinion". An opinion is an opinion and it will differ, according to ppl. And mixed feelings are usually a signal that they are balanced Absolutely I mean its a game. Fun is the only thing that ever mattered. And these ships are quite decent at what they do, and what they do is quite unique, and its playstyle, its features make the thing fun. Again, your definition of fun can be different so I won't object to it. How do you know, the way they are supposed to play. Moltke was out of NDA, and transferred from test to prem ship this update. To know about these things, I suggest following WoWsFT when a new update drops yes. Got the ship myself My conclusion is pretty much the same. However, I do find myself damaging cruisers a bit more than my average T4 BB. Maybe that's just me. And I did find the armor quite alright. Not special but better than what the Japanese and American BBs over. Its not Kaiser or Gangut (angled) good, but its decent As for the speed it really was nice to run down cruisers in Co-op. The secondaries aren't exactly amazing but decent. They will be better at T6 tho, since it gets Massa accuracy and high RoF on lower guns The accuracy left a lot to be desired.

I mean looking here The imperial German 420mm guns are on Schlieffen. The 406mm guns we got on t8-9 are FDG guns but with worser alpha, to show that they are WW1 shells (11500 was a bit too harsh imo, it should have been 11800 or something). Let's just wait and watch

I mean in that sense, most of the heavy DD lines we have are similar. French, Russian (Khaba line). Coz apart from killing DDs, they do pretty much nothing else for the team. They resort to selfishness too The point was them being good ships or not, and theT8 ended up being decent and T9-10 ended up being good, contrary to our beliefs. Now 'boring' is a feeling, not a fact so its subjective. And many ppl, including myself found the line to be quite fun So I have similar feelings about this new German BCs. No hard expectations. Just hope that its good.

    Tips on Grosser Kurfurst

Lemme show you my build first, that should help you in most scenarios P.S Take conceal if you find yourself not using the 5th Heal that often This build takes all necessary tank and attack skills while improving the secondaries only. It costs a 3rd slot mod, 7 points, and 1-3 flags to make these secs reach their maximum efficiency while taking the necessary tank skills. Not that BoS can also be an option over AR if ya want On to the ship itself, I have been playing GK for about 4 years now. Its my first T10 BB. The thing is that, while its a reasonably tanky ship, its main issue is the superstructure, lack of overmatch and firing angles. 1) Superstructure HE shells are the main enemy of this ship and BBs in general. This ship has the biggest superstructure in the game. Its both long, high and fat, so its not that hard to hit at the ranges where this BB like to operate. So you don't want to take fire for too long and islands are you best friend. I mean what do you expect from a fast BB that's the size of manhattan? Minimap, and awareness is required to survive against torps. Hydro does def help out a ton. I suggest speccing Vigilance on this ship as it a) Makes you spot torps further out, b) increases your torp protection from trash to meh, so that's a good bonus for 2 points. you have to create scenarios and wait for the perfect moment. When the opportunity isn't there, stick close to islands, and draw enemy fire. Be this big fat presence with blistering main battery guns, that enemy wants to get rid of fast. And once you have the advantage, or you find an opportunity to push, you push and crush them. In other words, using islands you wait like a tiger, flank like a deer, and pounce like a lion when the time comes. 2) Lack of Overmatch This is not a ship where you want to be in the middle. This is one of those ships where being at the flank is better. BBs with good guns are the only ones that provide high battle impact from the middle. Yamato for eg. GK is a ship you want to flank and push with, thnx to armor and secs. Its not a ship that will do well in the middle. This is due to lack of overmatch and kind of average accuracy. with 16.5 inch guns, you overmatch cruiser bow and stern, but not their middle section. So you will bounce a fair few stuff. It can't really deal with angled ships very well. You have to be closer to the enemy to hit other parts of the ship to dmg them and for doing it consistently, you have to be closer, and being closer from flanks is better than from middle. 3) Firing angles GK firing angles are quite abysmal. From the front, you have to expose broadside to get this guns out, and you'll take dmg in the process. So I will suggest 2 things a. Remain angled away from the enemy most of the time until you get you chance to push. GK and FDG are better at stopping pushes than leading them, contrary to the line before. This is becoz the backward firing angles are quite good on the T9 and decent at T10. It also allows you to dodge torps better and expose the aft of the superstructure, which is smaller than the front so less dmg take overall. b. When you do finally push, forget you have back guns, and use only the front guns on your focused enemy target. If you get another enemy within the firing angles of your fat guns, then use them. Until then, don't expose broadside to use those guns. These 4 videos should give you a ton of insight and knowledge about brawling BBs in general, not just GK. If you have time, take a look at them
