Don't know.
But I know where I won't be seen: Reddit and YouTube.
On Twitch mostly as lurker and on Discord? Well... There's a telltale etymology for this word, discord.
I'm currently not at ease at all with this idea of a Forum shutdown.

A pretty smart move would be, to better show their separation from Russian roots and the flamboyant homophobia is Eastern European regions, to actually use Gay bombs. Suggested mechanic: forcing collisions and cuddling between ships that get hit. That would be gay, wouldn't it?

I only saw that @Captain_82 and myself were on the same side during the last seconds of the battle. I'll send my regards this way, then.

In fact, I only know about three sure and maybe three or four more BB that can be touted as precision shooters among the vessels that I have in my port (I do not own a Slava or Incomparable, so I cannot gauge their gunnery).
Sure snipers, or rather: "designated marksman rifles", in the meaning of putting most shells there where you aim with a high degree of repeatability and consistency in their salvoes:
- Monarch,
- Daisen,
- Georgia.
Not really true snipers, more akin to assault rifles or battle rifles but still with a gunnery that feels more precise than their peers:
- Iowa
- Repulse
- Hood
- Schlieffen
Everything else, be it a Nagato, Amagi, Yamato (without leg mod), Constellation, Ohio, Montana, and all not listed BB, mostly geared towards maximisation of main gun precision via modules feel inferior to the ships named above in regards to gunnery precision.

Grind for DesMo is worth it though - one of my fave T10s.
Many tech trees have a lemon** at T9 (probably to encourage the use of FreeXP and its conversion via doubloons) to skip straight to the T10.
But Des Moines is a really refreshing change from Buffalo.
I'd say you've already done most of the grind so you may as well finish it off. Either by playing Buffalo or FreeXP skipping.
Kind of a shame Asymmetric battles are too BB orientated, and that cruisers get hard focussed, as that might have been an option to finish off the grind through Buffalo.
I've not got Salem yet as I prefer the idea of Des Moines' longer range RADAR and the fact it can equip hydro at the same time, unlike Salem which has to choose between the two.
Plus, I've still got plenty of coal ships to choose from and I'd like something from another nation with a different flavour.
OTOH, Salem will have a better economy than my DM with its perma bonus
and it can train other commanders. Damn, dilemmas & decisions.
** Not mentioning the T9 who shall not be named in the IJN BB line or HMS Lion in the British BB branch.
Lion feels way better than the Friedrich der Große, a BB that cannot shoot straight, same ability as the Izumo has. Ups, sorry, named it...

Vor 52 Minuten, caixa2 sagte:Any tips on how to play them would be more than welcome, thank you

You've got a timer for the battle time on your screen. Use it.
This means: Zieten, Prinz Rupprecht and Schlieffen are not vessels that can entertain early actions regularly. So, my tip would be: WAITING, waiting for the latter half of the battle or the late game.
Save your HP pool by staying at range, drop some shells on targets of opportunity, otherwise, do not search for fights and stay unengaged. When your opponents are already chewed down a bit, you may come closer, using your hydro and armaments to your advantage. This way, you can often play to the strengths of your ships; at least, according to the opinions of my clanmates. When I played this way, I did better than before in Rupprecht.

Besides a Makarov... Why not a Tokarev, a TT-33? But, well, in a naval setting, I'd rather settle on a AK-100, as this is marginally usable as CIWS...

Am 10.7.2023 um 08:49, Wulf_Ace sagte:yes its too complicated to put number to a container drop.
took me around 3 years to get a ship drop from SC, and it was Viribus Unitis..
OK, then I may be on the lucky side for a (mostly) F2P gamer - mostly because I did use money for a few ships (HSF Harekaze, Alaska B, Jean Bart B and Alabama). I get a ship somewhat regularly:
2021-05-07: SC with De Grasse.
2021-06-25: monthly SC with Perth
2021-09-19: SC for community tokens with Warspite, which was to be immediately followed by
2021-09-25: monthly SC with Gallant
2021-12-11: SC from Yamamoto Isoroku campaign with Hill
Now, an apparent hiatus of SC ship drops went effective, even though I got 2 or 3 ships from the recruiting station crates (among them Kidd, Eugen and Duca D'Aosta).
2022-11-21: SC with Yukon (highest tier but worst drop?!)
2023-04-23: SC for Easter tokens with Exeter
2023-04-29: SC with Mikoyan
Feels like a roundabout 100 day rhythm between ship drops when taking Try-your-luck crates as first daily crate and (mostly) signals for the remaining ones, with the odd SC interspersed now and then. I do not play up to 3 crates daily, though, more like to 2,4 crates/day average.

That's not possible as far as I know, as every container type can only be stored up to a count of 100 pieces each. Every crate above this threshold automatically gets opened.

Sadly, your target is not visible anymore in the screenshot, but another option: ricochets through the funnel down into the vitals? I recall that there was a streamer out there who tested this in a training room setup with a Smolensk against IJN ships, scoring repeated citadel hits from behind.

T5: Texas by a fair margin (56 battles, 62,5% WR - I would have played her more, but I progressed to silver before)
T6: Warspite (78 battles, 52,56% WR) and Graf Spee
T7: I'm not good enough at this tier for sound statistics. I did enjoy Strasbourg, though.
T8: Monarch by a margin (82 battles, 57,32% WR), Alabama
T9: Jean Bart, by far (177 battles, 57,63% WR)
T10: Bourgogne (61 battles, 50,82% WR) and Montana (182 battles, 52,2% WR)
T11: Yamagiri (well, it's my single T11 ship, but still 53 battles and 60,38% WR from back when we got the T11 introduced in Ranked)

Vor 1 Stunde, Curepto sagte:I cannot decide between Florida, Hyūga, Yukon and Hood.
I mostly play operations rather than Randoms.
Which one should i get?
Hello! As others already have said, for doubloons, you'll be better off taking a T8. I'd say, look at a Tirpitz or Alabama, both will allow a decent play also on Randoms or Ranked, of you get the occasion to play these modes.
From your list of T7 BB, I can give some opinion about the Hyūga, Yukon and Hood, as I have those.
First, the Yukon: forget it, I'd say (if it hadn't been a crate drop, I wouldn't own her). Nine fifteen inch guns on a KGV hull, soft and nothing really appealing on it, is not even serviceable as commander trainer as it's a Commonwealth ship. The Commonwealth exists only as WoWS nation with premium ships, no tech tree. If you need a T7 BB with similar characteristics, take the tech tree KGV or the coal premium Duke of York (which has hydro), if you want a fifteen inch armed KGV alike that is usable in Ops: tech tree T8 Monarch, insanely sneaky (best BB concealment in game, bettering a lot of cruisers), really precise guns, bonus package available for free with a collection.
Second, the Hyūga: it doesn't feel especially special, but it's a nice BB. Heavy armament that does not have shotgun vibes. It has more barrels than the other shortlisted ship, the Hood. It may be a tad slow for Ops, depending on the situation.
The Hood: fast, heavily armed and with guns that often reward a good aim. But she's rather unwieldy, do not plan on dancing a Waltz with her. Additional perk: historical value. I bought mine during the resource exchange event of last, normally, it's indeed a doubloon only ship.
All things combined, with a focus on Ops and among your selection, I think that you may be the happiest with the Hyūga (disregarding the Florida, as I cannot provide any own experience based opinion). But if possible resource-wise, look at the Scharnhorst, too!

Vor 6 Stunden, MementoMori_6030 sagte:Here already ends any pretense of accurate numbers anyway. That's not a speed which conventional (even modern) torpedos can reach afaik; it's the realm of those "underwater missiles" like Shkval and Barracuda who rely on supercavitation.
The limits of modern pump-jet and screw propulsion is something around 100kn IIRC, beyond, engine power will simply go into making cavitation bubbles. One of the fastest "conventional" weapons ist the British Spearfish, designed to engage the Russian Alfa class subs and having a maximum speed that is indeed around 80kn. The VA-111 Shkval reaches 200kn; as reference: the current US Mark 48 ADCAP torpedo may do something around 50kn as fastest speed, a speed that was also possible for the IJN Type 93 Long Lance (surface ships) and Type 95 (submarines).

Vor 18 Stunden, CaravellaCaravan sagte:Hello there. I'm stuck with low end PC and i really want to play World Of Warships.
I have low end laptop (i3-5005U, 4GB RAM, Intel HD Graphics 5500). It can get 30-35 fps but game loads very late(7-8 minutes after the battle). First it turned me pink and i tried playing couple of times now my name turned to red(i'm only playing PvE modes). I'm not going to try playing until I get my hands on better PC or find mod to make game more playable.
Any recommendations?
As reference:
WoWS runs in a playable fashion on this, a used Asus laptop that I got myself for 150€ two years ago (it's a secondary machine to be taken on vacations as tool for looking up tourism activities and as media player, being more comfy than tablets or smartphones for this):
with a classic HDD (no SSD) and Intel HD graphics 4400, albeit at low or lowest graphic settings. You'll get approximately 40fps and you'll have to cope with some frame rate drops (down to 7-10 fps) when encountering situations with fast dynamics (e.g. lots of torps in the water or switching targets to areas with several red ships). Generally speaking, the torps trails won't be displayed in a smooth way, so some games are needed to get accustomed to it for dancing torp beats successfully.
I think that your bottleneck (causing the minutes of loading time) is your RAM. And this is something not easily upgraded, as the needed parts, being quite outdated, may be hard to come buy.
150 to 200€ may be the needed expense to get yourself a computer that does not suffer from such a low RAM amount.

Citadel hits with tier 8 cruisers :
in General Discussion
Posted
No, the IS aka Islamic State does not hold data about citadels in Wichita to be blown up.
You may argue that Hipper, Prinz Eugen and Tallin are also very apt to punch holes in the vitals of their foes.
Yes, it seems so.
Yes, there are circumstances where a cruiser shell gets into the citadel of a BB. The first red wave in Narai and on Raptor's Rescue are situations where getting a citadel hit on a BB from cruiser fire is somewhat common.
Salem, I'd say, as this is the next higher US heavy cruiser that's not member of this nation's tech tree.
