    Wargaming PLEASE FIX TIER 9!

While playing exactly this way with clanmates, either myself in Lex or a companion in e.g. Aquila or Pobeda and some other T9 in the division, we often hat a non-divisioned T8 CV and some other standard patterned division made of BB, CA, or DD against us. So, it looks like the fact of a division gets mirrored, but not its composition. Regards, Nightowl

"Fail division" or "8-9-9" for CV sniping? Regards, Nightowl

    Wargaming PLEASE FIX TIER 9!

There's kind of a hack that can be used against seeing T11 with your T9 ship. You need at least one other player who's willing to play in a division with you. In said division, you must include a T8 CV, for some reason, those don't get to see T11 ships AFAIK. Of course, it's bound to happen that the CV captain will have to fight T10 ships. Songs for certain ships

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

LOL, looks like it's the time for getting stuff at the last moment possible. Same here (but not this close): I managed to earn the last few hundreds of XP needed and to collect my last container of the day with 30 seconds left on the clock. Regards, Nightowl

    Can you stop the double-griefing?

(Bold text by me) How are you going to diminish the abuse of such a "proper report system"? Everything that can work cannot be automated (save, maybe, using a KI system of a make some 3-5 years in the future) and everything that can be or is automated can and will be abused. Machines and algorithms simply cannot differentiate between honest and abusing reports. Only humans can (albeit with an error rate that is noticeably above 0), but I do not think that a F2P game can support the amount of customer service people that would be needed to process the expected amount of daily reports. So, you must automate any report system up to at least 90 or 98% of event responses - with the downside that there can't be any ability of distinction between honest mistakes, lack of abilities and purposeful bad playing left in such an automated system (the first 2 points do not warrant sanctions, of course). Why play Almirante Grau when .....

Because the Almirante did show up in my last random package that I earned through the trail and I do not own Malta or Nakhimov. I could technically buy Malta, though, enough coal and coupon are in stock... But I'll rather save up, yet. Anyway, it's destined to be a Snowflake or Coop ship, I ain't a cruiser guy but still have the D7P in port... Regards, Nightowl
  8. So, no neurosurgery possible? If you've got such a statement, did you crosscheck it with some other oncologists or neurosurgeons? Doctors are only people with limits in their knowledge, so something that may pass unnoticed or unknown by doctor A may be cleared with doctor B. Medicine is (also) a science, so double checks are only a sound scientific approach. The odds of the best success of treatment may be the highest if you have access to a large university clinic (for Germany and neurosurgery, that would likely be the Charité in Berlin). I'd say, don't be content with plain standards, look for the best source of knowledge and treatment that you can reach, as your life is obviously at the stake. Kind regards, Nightowl
  9. [I bolded some text] I won't do anything else. I surmise that the bit of misunderstanding (interpreting " to be held in his honour" as remembrance activity) was due to that English is not my mother tongue and thus, slight or subtle meanings of somebody's sentences may pass unnoticed. Sorry. Regards, Nightowl
  10. Hello, sorry for asking, but is such a thing: "Can we organize a community event for mashum, maybe series of battles in the training room. To be held in his honour?" as per the "to be held in his honour" not usually something staged in remembrance of somebody, as a posthumous activity? He is not dead yet, isn't he? While I'm feeling a bit awkward as I do not know how to deal with him as fellow forumite, knowing about his health status (I'll settle for not behaving in any way different from before, usually people with impairments do not want to be treated in any other way), I'm feeling much more awkward towards the idea of behaving as if he already passed away. How to counter every tech tree bbs

Ranked favour brawlers? Well, indeed, there's a lot of Pommerns out there. But I do not feel like they are something OP. You must be aware of their torpedoes and their secondaries, though. But I do not fear them in my Jean Bart(!). It's build for 23 seconds reload, so fire setting is a sound tactic against Pommern. Or, if it gets broadside and close enough (14km or less), AP on the upper belt for 4 to 12k DMG per salvo. So, brawlers are not a cure-all, nimble ships are also a sound choice. @TO: I want to suggest the following. If you get too much attention by a Jean Bart (or Richelieu) that stays nose-in to you, go full speed in your Iowa and open the range to at least 16km distance. Use islands to break the line of sight. Of the T8 and T9 Frenchies, only the stock hull of a Richelieu (an unlikely encounter in Ranked) and the premium Champagne have a spotter plane, so your adversaries do not have much aiming help to engage you over rocks. Heal any damage incurred, then wiggle around and shoot while angled (to do try to force the usage of the rear turret!). AP is mostly the best choice, as you can quickly engage any good target of opportunity (a cruiser broadside, a CV) with this. Stay at a range of more than 16km, you will have some advantage in gunnery precision over Frenchies at longer ranges (but do not go farther than maybe 20km, as your own gunnery will suffer too much). cant buy the new tokens for fcxp

Just gave the Hood with the female Anime Hood commander that I also have a quick drive in Coop. The guns feel (nearly) as good precision-wise as those of Monarch, my current all-time gunnery favourite (Georgia being on second place). But I think that I shall train my driving skills more, with some care on the rudder and well planned trajectories, I think that we'll get together well. I'll see how she's going to behave in some future T7 Ranked. Regards, Nightowl

I'm not really dumb, but I'll take the opportunity: a doubloon ship (with historical merits) for coal is an offer that is decent enough in my eyes. Regards, Nightowl

You know, there are actually living organisms that are mostly seen as a fungus, but do indeed exhibit properties similar to intelligent beings. These organisms are called slime molds, in one of their development stages, these molds move around. regards, Nightowl

    ban subs from ranked now

Please do not overgeneralize. Some weeks ago, I was in a Ranked battle, Rupprecht being my ship. And fortunately, there was a submarine captained by a THESO guy on my flank. Well, the outcome was nearly predetermined - blue sub spotted the red sub, who then took my ASW bombs right on his head for a quick death. We arranged beforehand, at battle start, for cooperation (I explicitly asked for this and waited for the chance to drive an ASW attack home). This, cooperation with subs and surface units, is why I said somewhere earlier in this thread, that well played submarines are a hell of a strong asset in someone's own team. I actually tend to attack submarines even if this means letting a BB broadside slip away, prioritizing an attack on CV, DD and subs (in that order) while using a BB. And this is why I'm adamant at having useful and decent ASW ranges on my ships. Regards, Nightowl

    ban subs from ranked now

I, a non-native user of English, think that "Thought" and "Throat" have a nice alliterating sound. And concerning subs, "Deep Throat" is not far away, then... But these hard steel rods are not satisfying. And add that they should not provide firing solutions for teammates below periscope depth (=only minimap-based spotting, same as the stuff you currently have in cyclones), and I'm fine with submarines, even with their ludicrous speeds and torpedo speeds. Regards, Nightowl

    ban subs from ranked now

Jean Bart, Musashi, Ohio: dwarfed ASW. Bourgogne, Yamato, Georgia: normal abilities. (Also Schlieffen, Montana, Preussen, Großer Kurfürst...) And it can't even be tier dependent, as every single of these ships can see the same submarines, the units from T8 and T10. Won't work, or are there T9 submarines in the dev pipeline? The prerequisite of "same tier" is currently unfulfillable. I truly dearly wish for some insights about these and other development reasonings... Regards, Nightowl

    2 days until

I'm looking at my Harugumo slot and its x6 RB bonus... Never played nor actually bought this ship due to a lack of credits. Lets see if I carry on towards the x8 or x10 bonus... That'll be enough to pay me an entire RB ship by itself when bought and played. Regards, Nightowl

    ban subs from ranked now

Possibly, and that we, that's to say, my clan, do actually have a clan member that started the game just because of the availability submarines will only serve to corroborate this statement (He's actually really good in them, and a well-played sub is a damn strong asset for the team). Nope, wrong *raises hand*, I'm still enjoying the mode. Even with subs, as I often play BB, I can often fight back with some success. But it's utmost hilarious that a Jean Bart or a Ohio has such a paltry ASW range. They must be able at least to drop their charges out to 9km. Why not make for air dropped depth charges a standard minimum range of kilometres equal to the ship's tier? Vessels with more shall keep their range. Regards, Nightowl

I managed to prevail nearly until the battle's end against 2 purple divisions (by THESO and G-R) in what turned out to be the last game in a Shiratsuyu re-grind: I like to meet THESO guys in battle (but preferentially in my team, of course ), as they were always civil and made for a pleasant game. Clan battles (in short: CB) do have seasons like Ranked battles. Currently, there is no open competition in that regard. Watch the game news for updates about these battles! You should be member of a clan to partake in clan battles - random players not affiliated with any hosting clan will count as so-called mercenaries. There is an upper limit to the amount of mercenaries in any given team, the last CB seasons had teams limited to 3 mercenaries out of 7 players, so, you'd have to assemble 4 clan members at the very least.
