    Factual update

    fwiw I claimed the KotS XV Commander Mission: nothing received. I then claimed KotS XV Mystery Drop #2: 37,000 Commander XP received. At the same time the regular Weekly drops were claimed but I only received the 12.3 Update: 250 CT but NOT the Update 12.3 Mission #3 Mission. Weekly Mission has now dropped but not the KotS Commander Mission.

     

    Presume it's the usual, of raising a ticket and keeping your fingers crossed.

    Ooops my bad. :Smile_hiding: There's a snake joke in there somewhere but I'm too knackered tonight. Of course it is SAIPAN. (Seem to recall had an engine for a model boat which was a Taipan 3.5cc and from Australia (obviously). That was in my teens, light years ago !!!!

    Well as I posted earlier I thought I was just a dolphin, turns out I'm now a certified Whale. I have been very, very lucky with my hit rate for ships, doubs, coal & premium such that I now have almost 4 year's of Premium (got 3 in an 8 crate bundle) !! Most of the ships have been T5, T6 & T7 filler ships tbh although I did snag the T7 Belfast. Yesterday got my Dockyard Mega crate and got a Taipan from it, shame I don't do CV's yet and already had Taipan B from a Black Friday crate. So I decided "**** it" let's have one more spin so bought an 8 and 20 bundle. 8 bundle got me 1 lot of doubs and 2 coal and usual camos & signals. Then turned to the 20 bundle. Nothing special till crate T8 Constellation, ok have that, then couple signals, then T9 Azuma, nice, next crate camo, next crate T10 Hayate, next crate T10 Smaland, couple (doubs and coal) crates later T8 KII. Thinking that's not a bad haul to finish open last crate, T9 Alaska. Shame I had Alaska B as first win in Black Friday crates and now like Taipan have just missed out on some free doubs as well. BUT 6 out of 20 is not shabby when 3 are T8/T9 and the other 3 are T10/rare ships is pretty good against the odds imho.

     

    Conclusion: I have spent way, way too much on these crates and I did start to fall into the "this isn't gambling, when it really is" trap. But I'm set for the next few years without having to spend much for what I hope will be a long time.

    Kronstadt

    Smolensk

    Benham

    Z-39

    Got quite a few port Queens and a load of coal and doubloons but got Saipan, Graf Zeppelin and Sims that I'd already got from Black Friday containers so got coal and doubloons back from those too.

    Got enough gold to get Repulse and also got 2x180 day premium from containers.

    So all in all I've been very happy and lucky with what I've got. I worked it out and the value has far exceeded what I've spent.

     

     

     

     

     

     

    Nice collection of rare ships. Black Friday gave me those 3 too, but I think I had 7 ships in total including Yoshino B and Alaska B, as well as Atlanta B, Loyang B. I had a lot of luck with Black Friday Premium crates and struck a ship about every third to fourth crate (note NOT bundle), crazy. Only bought Jean Bart B. It's a step up from Strasbourg for training captains.

    I've been a bit of a whale to be honest but somehow I seem to have done really well using only Mega Crates. I have only taken two 20 bundles but have indulged in too many 8 bundles. The last 8 bundle got me 3 ships, albeit that they were Blyskawica, Genova and Mutsu, another 8 bundle netted me Tirpitz, 180 days Premium & Indianapolis  !! However I have also won Dunkerque and Sims and as I got B versions of both from Black Friday I got some doubs back for them, also had 4x 2,500 doubs and have had 2x 180 days Premium. Most are tier 7, or below, "filler" ships only a few Tier 8 Tirpitz, Z-35, Prinz Eugen. Others in no particular order are Ashitaka,  Okhotnik, Kirov, Leningrad, Poltava, Weimar, Exeter, Agincourt, Ark Royal, Hood, Siroco, Aigle, Gorizia, Yukon & Mysore. And with evert ship coming with a 10 point Captain that helps out me cull a few lowly pointed captains.

     

    So that's a total of 24 ships, a couple were from Free Stream Crates, Mission Crates or New Year Certs exchanged. I seem to averaging at least 2 ships per 8 crate bundle, but the 20 bundles were disappointing with only a couple in each although I did get loads of Special Flags.

    Well it is a lottery. However I bought an 8 Mega Crate bundle yesterday, got myself a Tirpitz, Indianapolis and 180 days Premium so I got my £24 got me £96 worth of (albeit) digital goods at 2 of which were wanted. I've done worse on the others but am definitely up in terms of ships and doubs even if some of the ships are "filler" ships. I feel I've beaten the odds so far. It's knowing when to stop.
