Roma/Littorio: This thing burns too easily.
The_Angry_Admiral replied to The_Angry_Admiral's topic in General Discussion
I'm not too worried about the credits as I have the Kii and I could pick up the same camo for it. -

Why is it not needed? If I'm not mistaken the actual Roma had SAP. -

You do know that Wargaming has the ability to implement things after they've been released right? -
Heads up. New devblog about ec rework is up. Ugh....

Poll: Arms Race vs Epicenter
The_Angry_Admiral replied to Shirakami_Kon's topic in General Discussion
The only issue Epicentre has is not it's fault but the players. It is a very simple and easy concept but unfortunately a lot of players are just too thick to get it. -
Anyone know exactly what the specific specialization she has with the Indomitable? It's a premium ship so you don't have to pay to slap any commander on the ship. They make it sound like it comes with some special ability.

Azure special commander Formidable.
The_Angry_Admiral replied to The_Angry_Admiral's topic in General Discussion
I was just wondering because in the description they decided to put emphasis on that and I knew any captain can be trained on a premium ship without charge so the description just made it sound like if you put her on that particular CV then something else is gained. -
Well Boobs and giant robots do make that money.

I can't believe you are actually comparing the gaming industry of the 80's to what we have now. It's like comparing a Ferrari to a horse drawn carriage.

I picked up the AL Azuma using the 35% coupon so I got it for 37 quid. I actually like the ship.

Now your results may vary but I find almost each and every time we don't do this we lose. The two I have circled are caps A and B while the other is C. I find whenever we move as a group to A and B we find maybe three ships at B which we usually take out rather quickly. What we do then is take caps A and B while the reds take C. This automatically gives us a cap advantage and in order for the reds to come and take the caps, which they have to at this point, they have to come at us as with less ships which means if we station ships at those islands and wait for them to come we mow them down easily. My teams usually win each and every time we do this. What I can't understand are the people who want to divide up the group and half go C while the other go A and B. Doesn't it make more sense to fight for the two caps that are close together and easier to defend? Am I wrong in thinking this even though it works?

Ranked: Crash Zone Alpha map.
The_Angry_Admiral replied to The_Angry_Admiral's topic in General Discussion
Hmmmmm I see where you are coming from but I'm just wondering where would the cross fire come from? Just above is what our tactics would be but let's say all six went up against three red that were taking B and we killed them. Lets say we lost one ship which would mean our 5 against their three. Now we would be currently winning on kills and caps which would force the reds to essentially charge us with three ships. I'm just not seeing how we would lose unless we just all went AFK. -

Just had a game here where we won but we didn't all go to the A and B caps and we won, mainly because the other team did not play well. I did notice when a red is spotted going to C like what happened with the Alaska in the replay it exposed him while I was sitting in the B cap. It just looks a bit like C can be a bit of a risk. 20220526_114549_PFSB599-Black-Jean-Bart_52_Britain.wowsreplay -
Ranked: Crash Zone Alpha map.
The_Angry_Admiral replied to The_Angry_Admiral's topic in General Discussion
It has worked four me each time when the reds split up and we don't. They will usually send three ships to cap B while the others take C which gives us the advantage in numbers. It may take a little while but the reds on C are not going to leave that cap until it has been taken and then have to make it to us in time to help their mates while we are shooting away. What happens for us is the team at B are dealt with by the time the rest of C arrive in which time we see them coming and just shoot as they approach. Unless the B team happens to be nothing but Godicums how are they supposed to win against us unless our team have zero brains? -
Exactly. F2P games are always looking for money in ways you wouldn't expect.

I would bet my life that is a feature implemented on purpose.

No ship this month. -
The main problem is passive gameplay by BB's and some cruisers. The game's meta has changed to more of a fast paced on the move playstyle where you are punished for passive play. CV's spot you instantly so sitting in the back just makes you an easy target to farm. Good teams now move up with their DD's and start capping while the cruisers and BB's move up behind them because giving the enemy more targets to shoot at means they have to decide which to shoot instead of focus firing one person. Teamwork and actually looking at the map wins games.

Haven't read up on the sub update but WTF were they thinking by removing the ping trail? Now we just get pinged automatically with no way to dodge. Wargaming always knows how to cause a trainwreck again after the train has already come off the tracks. -
Should DD players at least get spread evenly between teams according to their DD stats?
The_Angry_Admiral replied to Sir_Sinksalot's topic in General Discussion
It's down to teamwork. DD's need the support of their cruisers and BB's. You have to keep an eye on what ships are in the lineup, especially cruisers with radar and hydro and not to mention CV's.
