Cruisers and Destroyers: Please learn how to play these ships.

Not really. How about you explain it for the class? BTW: Has nothing to do with amount of battles or anything. How about you explain it from an in game perspective? -

You don't need many battles to use common sense. Have something else you want to say? BTW: I have the intelligence to grasp things in a relatively short time unlike some who need thousands of battles in order to learn how to play the game.- 43 replies

Missouri: Wargaming your greed is really causing you to lose business sense.
The_Angry_Admiral posted a topic in General Discussion
Right now it's looking like I won't be finishing the Pacific War campaign to be eligible to purchase the Missouri because I just don't have the time. I'm not sure how many other people are in the same boat as I am but I would guess I'm not alone. I have offered to purchase the ship outright in a ticket to WG and was told I had to complete the missions. So instead of a guaranteed sale you would rather me take my chances and not get the ship. What kind of sense does this actually make? I'm not going to gamble for it in crates so it looks like WG won't be getting my money. Why would you turn down a 100% chance of a sale? -

You can gain doubloons without spending actual money. -

Think about that for a moment? Forced by whom the player base? If that's so then I bet you that same player most likely wouldn't be purchasing crates anyway so why cater to a group that most likely won't buy your crates? Let's just face it - I believe WG have shot themselves in the foot and could have made more money than they will make on this farce. -

But again, how many people have just used doubloons they have had stocked up and used that to purchase some boxes and just gave up after not getting it? I mean if so many people were buying these boxes wouldn't it make more sense to just have it strictly in lootboxes and not give you the option to buy it outright after the missions? Nobody is going to grind the hell out of the missions only to give up and start buying crates unless they have doubloons stocked up. -

Thing is I would say a lot of people have copped on to Lootboxes and just don't buy them. -

This is what they do in World of Tanks with it's newest Tier IX Premium. Most people just end up buying the tank at full price because they want to be the first to own it. -

Want to know what would make them more money? Have the ship for sale along with the missions. Every chapter you complete gives a small discount on the ship and if you end up completing the missions, or even skipping the missions using doubloons, you could end up getting the ship for free at the end. Everyone wins. -

But how many people just used some spare Doubloons to buy up to that first random and just give up afterwards? -

So can I just contact Customer Support and buy it out right? If I spend too much time grinding this game, or any game for that matter, my wife will most likely murder me in my sleep. -

What bundle did someone get the Missouri in? You have to buy two bundles before you get to the third which has the chance to get the ship so not sure what you're talking about getting it in the first bundle. -
World of Warships: Needs the Star Wars Galaxies treatment.
The_Angry_Admiral posted a topic in General Discussion
For those of you old enough to remember Star Wars Galaxies it went from one of the best MMO's to virtually nothing in a matter of weeks because the devs thought they would tell the player base they knew best and what we got was the player base letting the devs know who really wields the power. All it would take is for everyone to band together and turn off the tap for a few days and we wouldn't have to deal with this nonsense anymore. I really miss the days of the player base owning it's power and hitting these companies where it really hurts.- 9 replies

The Missouri and how WG are now the king of Scum in the world of gaming.
The_Angry_Admiral posted a topic in General Discussion
Here is the blog post: Update 0.10.7, Missouri event and economics - Development blog BETA (worldofwarships.com) So basically if I want to purchase the MIssouri using my hard earned money I need to grind my way through their little event in order to be given permission to give Wargaming my money. I have to hand it to WG - they really know how to raise the bar when it comes to being a scummy company. I mean I have been around gaming for a long time and I can't remember ever seeing anything so disrespectful to a customer base. Kudos to you but not something you should be proud of. I would say even Bobby Kotick and Andrew Wilson are impressed.- 42 replies

You want respect when you do stuff like this?

I can bet you all the money in the world that had they been at a WarCon (just made that up) and there was a room full of people those PR [edited] wouldn't have been no way near as smug. They talk that way because they can hide like cowards behind their screens. -

Other countries are starting to follow suit as lootboxes are now banned in Belgium. All it will take is for the rest of the EU to head that way and WG are screwed. I wouldn't doubt the reason we are seeing more aggressive displays of monetization is because they know the lootbox end is near. -

Yuro might have killed the CC program, with love
The_Angry_Admiral replied to Invitatus's topic in General Discussion
Sea Lord Mountbatton wants to be a CC so bad because even his latest video doesn't really hit at Wargaming the way it should. He's trying so hard not to sound like an apologist and basically sitting on the fence while giving WG a little slap on the back of the hand. -
Accidentally unlinked my Steam World of Warships account from the WG website.
The_Angry_Admiral posted a question in Q&A Section
Hello, I created a Steam World of Warships account and had it linked to the Wargaming webpage. Well I've stupidly unlinked them and I don't know how to get them back. I can no longer log in to the game using my Steam client. The only way I can get in now is using the WG client. When I try and log in using my Steam it says there is no steam account linked to Wargaming. When I open the game in Steam it wants me to create a new one and I am not creating another brand new account. How can I fix this? Thanks -
I don't know if I'm just blind or what? Retraining.
The_Angry_Admiral posted a topic in General Discussion
Okay I have the HSF Graf Spee and the Mainz. I purchased the Dasha 10 point Commander for each ship. For the love of God I can't find anywhere that will allow me to train them from the Hermelin to each ship individually. Currently I have gotten each one to 11 points but it says they are still trained for the Hermelin and when she is selected the stats on both ships go down. How do I fix this? -

Thanks for that. I was thinking she was making my ships perform worse. -

But then why do the stats go down when I select her? Take the Graf Spee for instance: When I have no commander my concealment is 52, when she is selected as my Commander it drops to 40. Why?
