A few days ago I was able to make up the difference when purchasing a ship with coal with steel but now that seems to be gone. Anyone else notice this?

I find that BB's in this game don't really play the part you would think they play. They aren't like super heavy tanks that roll in with heavy armour and lots of HP that absorb damage. I am hearing a lot of difference of opinion on playing Battleships.

I would have ended up surrounded. I felt it was better to have my back to the wall.

I appreciate the tips. Now I did mention I am stock so at the moment I have a very slow ship in the beginning. Once it finally gets moving at full speed it's actually fine but if you need to stop in a hurry or get going you can forget it. Why would an Battleship cap when he has no support from his team? I mean I can he spotted from the moon and I am slow to react unlike a DD or a cruiser. My gun range is not the best at the moment so I was more than likely going to get shot before I can see anything. I have learned not go middle in my BB's because I get killed quick. I have started surviving longer because I stay on the outside and pummel from a distance. I don't have hydro, radar, nor smoke to help me out. Lately I've started trusting my own team less and less BTW: I made that comment because the last three games we lost due to nobody on my team capping. Had several ships parked outside the cap while they watched the reds take them.

Had a game where a Soviet CV player went to the middle of the map and hid behind a rock. I asked what he was doing and was told by another player it was strategy - the CV's planes were slow so he wanted to be closer. I mentioned that wasn't a good idea but was told I know nothing. 1 minute 30 seconds later that CV was killed by two DD's and a cruiser who torped it to death. I asked what happened and was told I need to learn how to play a CV. Was that really a smart move by that CV?

I understand the logic behind it but it seems like one of those things that sounds better on paper than in the execution.

Look at the drop rate on that AE Phase 1. In order to get that far to try and get it you have to spend money at some point because it's part of the battle pass.

This is nothing new mate. Blitz is a mobile game so it's gamble central.

I am sick to death of being a battleship and going to help some of your cruisers and destroyers at the beginning of the match only for them to see a few reds and then turn tail and leave as fast as they can while you are stuck there trying to turn around get out of there. Because your spotting, speed, and overall manoeuvrability is so bad it's usually too late and you get over run. I really wish these people would learn how to play these ships. I'm talking about Tier VII and above so there is no excuse but bad playing.

WTF wouldn't I? Remember hindsight is always 20/20 and don't give me some BS about having more battles would somehow give you more insight.

It was enough for my wife and I to pay for our main house and the other one in the south of Spain and picking up a third in the northwest of France.

But the team asked for support. I didn't walk into anything I followed them with the thinking of support. This is a team game after all.

Whale Force? Spending a few quid on ships is being a whale? I'm afraid you are either poor or just out of the loop on what constitutes a whale.

Can't control my team and I get victim to bad MM and my own mistakes. My above comment still stands. How about enlighten the class then?

What do stats have to do with teammates asking you to support and then turning around and leaving the moment it's even? How about some of you actually articulate this instead of just looking at someone's stats and going "uhhhhhhhhhh get better stats mate derpdy derp derp"? It shows a real lack of thought and brain power to be honest.

I'm not disparaging all players. I am calling out the ones who choose these ships but don't know how to play them. Was just in a battle where myself in a battleship went with the a DD and a cruiser. The moment three reds popped up the two just legged it. It was three vs three so why leave? If you know how to play the ship then you know how to engage but if you just want to fly around in the safety of everyone else not wanting to get your paint scratched then play something else. You can't start to support a battleship and then turn around and run the moment you see a red. It's terrible teamwork.

Thought so. This is what happens when you put some bullsh&%$r on the spot kids.
