By having Subs & CV's for example. One can't be spotted, the other can play without danger of being sunk. Both draw out decided battles for to long. They both make others play passive and they generaly do not promote teamplay. Both classes also attract a type of player that capitalise on that play style. But you probably don't agree for some reason, yet that is the beauty of it. WG can decide what they think is toxic.
-
Hahaha, they brake their own rules constantly by promoting toxic gameplay, yet they give out a punishment to that. Oh well, it takes some level of self-awerenes to see your own faults I guess. Let's be happy they know how to keep the game functioning on the basic level.

How satified are you with the battle you've just Played

If you want the dev's to read and understand any of this, use handpuppets and google translate. -
Good. I think this is the best choice for you. If you wanted the dev's to read it, you should have used google translate though, I doubt they have the IQ to speak more then 1 language.

They have probably hired an external company for some of the stuff. And who knows, maybe everyone showing a sign of intelligence is transferred to the finance and marketing departments. They sure are not in the dev and coding parts of the company. I bet they outsourced the graphics to India. -
I am more surprised WG has the brain to do something that is not completly broken or useless. Oh well, even a broken clock.....

I really fail to understand why people still think WG is smart. If WG had any functional brainpower, they wouldn't make it so obvious they are only trying to make people spend money.... So, only conclusion, they really don't have the brainpower and are probably amazed and wondered by all the stuff the players think up. Problem is that they then have no clue whatsoever to implement the changes. Look at subs... they are so clueless that every patch they have to change the concept of it, because they are just pointlessly fiddling about. Maybe because the code is in English and not Russian, I don't know. So, really. Be patient and understanding towards them, the dev's can't help being put in the position they are in. Maybe WG will hire some new dev's one day that at least have an understanding of programming and game-design. Until then, either accept it or quit. Just keep your wallet closed. -

I've selected the dissatified option on wins. I mean, steamrolls are boring, no matter from the side. Winning while a low-life decided that his midway focus-pestering your cossack is fun is just as bad. Nope, WG just hasn't got the brainpower to make surveys that make sense and give data that is useful. But then again, they couldn't make good data work anyway, so it doesn't matter. -
Hmm, If I think that someone is acting unsportman-like and I have the option to report this person on that behaviour it is not abuse. But give them time, they will figure out that the karma system is broken eventually and who knows, maybe even find a way to fix it. Be patient and understanding towards them. Until then, I think it best to just forget about it. It doesn't add a thing to the results or rewards of the game and it is not the learning tool it could be. Ignore it and you will find your in-game life a bit brighter.

The art of taking surveys hasn't yet been mastered by WG. Give them time, they might figure out that this is not the way to get usefull data. -
WG trained dogs for their dev team, so why not?

Are WG running out of ship types?
MarChil replied to ThePopesHolyFinger's topic in General Discussion
WG has lost sight and understanding some time ago. They are about as clueless as a 100 games player in a Yamato. The arrogance and condescending tone of their latest video 'explaining' us that they know best is the prime example of that. So we should be patient and understanding towards them, they will figure it out in the end. Or not. Until then we can enjoy the fun and engaging things of life. Like watching a netflix series. -
Whoever the [edited]thought the nachimow is balanced has severe brain damage
MarChil replied to herbgorfer's topic in Current Update
Nownow, please be patient and understanding towards the dev's. They say all is fine, so we should give them time to understand the mechanics of the game and one day they will get the picture and fix it. Untill then, have fun and enjoy the engaging gameplay. -
Subs seem to be gone but the Underwater disaster isn't
MarChil replied to Invitatus's topic in General Discussion
Sub. A prefix very often meaning something lesser, like in sub-optimal, sub-standard etc. A bit like WG's developer staff. Just remember that when seeing one and things look brighter already. Besides, you could always quit when being in the same match as them. Or just quit all-together. Save your sanity. Sounds like a heck of a lot work for something that can be done without fancy positions. But hey, I'm just an old boring sod. -
I refuse to use a system like reporting, unless someone is abusive. (But I can imagine downvoting CV's for unsporting behaviour. It's not like they do not realize they only play it to make another player have a bad game, at least not most of them.) I just see CV's as a way of being inclusive to the special people. They should have a way of getting back at us, don't they? Just like in real life, some people lack a bit of, let's call it confidence, and I have enough to help them gain some. So let them have some. It's not that it costs me anything important. Just be patient and understanding towards them. Maybe one day WG will hire some competent people and sort things out. Maybe not. But by then, hopefully, a viable alternative is in place and WG will be an obscure wiki page that someone stumbles upon on a wasted sundaynight. And remember, you can always throw the pixels into obscurity and find another hobby.

Matchmaker Discussion Thread & MM Balance
MarChil replied to Excavatus's topic in General Discussion
WG does not hate you. And they do not cheat. (the second thing requires a working brain the first a soul) The only problem is in their incompetence to fix things. So you either accept that WG is to cheap to hire competent people, or you leave. Or you learn Russian and write the developers, who seemingly don't speak even a basic form of English. I just had a row of games that were lost before I even was in position, because WG does not have the brainpower to realize that getting people with just over 100 games (as a whole) a T8/9 ship is a bad idea. The problem with MM is that de dev's are incapable of realizing that their main game-mode does not work properly when you don't take the Rock, paper, scissors into account when creating teams. They can't help it, their programmers shouldn't have been put in that position in the first place. The proof of that is how condescending and arrogant they are when making a video trying to cover their sorry behinds. Last time: Take it or leave it. I take it until a viable alternative comes by, and I hope that is sooner then later. Until then I simply shut down when it gets to much and try another time. -
How and why is it possible to have a T10 with below 200 random games and a 'very bad PR'
MarChil replied to Port_Authority's topic in General Discussion
Chatbanning a player doesn't cost a dime, fixing stuff does. It's the all rounded answer. Deal with it or leave. Show patience and understanding. :-) -
Matchmaker Discussion Thread & MM Balance
MarChil replied to Excavatus's topic in General Discussion
It's very simple: If it doesn't make or cost money, they do not give a single rat. For now, they have a pretty sweet deal with randoms, because most will fall for the premium gamble trap. I did when I was struggling in T6. A nice and shiny T8 DD to play with. Cost me a number of games to realize that I had to keep it in port and learn first. But WG had what it wanted. So either accept it or take a brake till at least late januari, because a lot of 'patience and understanding' players are lining up. -
How stupid do you have do be to think Subs are fun to play/play against?
MarChil replied to Drakkanor_1's topic in Current Update
Now, now. You know WG has all the data and they say all is balanced. So, it must be in your head, because it sure can't be WG, they are near perfect in these things. -
Just as another token of your newfound openness, maybe make the results public? Let us see how many people even fill in these and what they say? Would go a long way and maybe even give us a glimpse in the silent majority that is clamed to exist..... Just an idea
-
If you really want people to learn, give 3 levels of randoms. I got blasted mutiple times when still in T5/6 by 10K+ players just stroking their ego's. Nothing to learn from that. Bronze till 500ish games, Silver till 1000ish games, Gold for the more experienced. Maybe even a Platinum for 1500+ PR or so. But... No way that's gonna happen. So we stick with randoms with 250games players in T8 BB's and SU players clubbing them down. Like it or leave it. Just pay up
-
Question is, would you still feel lucky if a 300 games player had Alaska and was your primary backup while playing a loyang... ok, that's a bit salty. Enjoy your ship, I hope to never meet you in it while I'm trying to contest a cap ;-)
-
Great, so you're the type that let's me die because after 14 games in neustra during the weekend I have bad statistics in it? hellva way to let those stats stay rock bottom. I rather look at what a ship is doing before deciding I take a risk or not. I really don't have the time to look at MMM every 10sec to see if my teammate is up to standards.
-
If I see I was facing off a unicum+ DD I feel a lot less bad about losing that then having screwed-up against a newbe. If I have a 30K, 1 kill game against a 55WR pink team, I feel better then having a 100K kraken game against a 40WR red team. That is looking at you own performance in perspective.

Chance of getting 11 losses in a row with a ship
MarChil replied to _TRider_'s topic in General Discussion
Depends, if you would repeat it under exactly the same conditions in exactly the same way.... I doubt even the devs know exactly how the MM algorithm functions these days. edit: That's refering to the deck of cards
