It's not that Audrey has a clue about how to fix MM and grow a spine to stand-up to finance and so it is just spamming new ships, classes and other cow-poo until someone finaly finds out his only true skill is in gardening and switches over the gardener and him. Then things will be fixed.

    The playerbase is wholly and fully the responsibility of WG. They have it in hand and decide to not use it like they should. And yes, I play a couple of battles now and then, until my brain can't handle it anymore. As soon as my premium time runs out, I will decide if I do or do not stay. Untill the, I have all the right in the world to complain about a company that has a sub-standrd product. Yup

    I have a very nice suggestion: Replace the complete dev team with a competent one, that has a spine to stand up to finance and gets stuff fixed. simple, clean, efficient.

    As long as MM is being maintained by 2 drunks in the cellar, you all can come up with stuff as much as you like (that WG is going to ignore because arrogant and condicending) but it will not change a thing. They will happily add more broken and dumb stuff to the hopelessly broken MM and are amazed why things don't work. So they push the 'it's the playerbase' narrative until the end of days so they don't have to take any responsibility. Only option is outsourcing it to people who do have a clue, but that would mean they admit they are incompetent.

    Another day of blow-out after blow-out, not a single word from WG about taking responsibility for the sub-standard product they deliver but they did find time to make another flashy clip about their ships. If they put only half the effort of that in getting stuff fixed, they would have something to be proud off. Again, shame on them. And yes, I will repeat this until they do something about it, I will not let them get away with it.

    Not saying teams should be balanced on players skill, they should be more balanced on equipment, so player skill is what wins/loses games. Not the fact 1 team has the upper hand in equipment. That is the entire point I'm trying to get across.

    If the stats of players are the result of my claim, those players cannot be the prime cause. Players that are not as talented as others are what can help the talented shine. It's a game aspect. But WG needs to make sure that their algorithms and equipment are not the reason a game is lost or won.

    sure, everything is possible. But like I said, easily vs. near-impossible. This can be helped by a balanced MM. To often one team has the advantage in ship line-up. WG can work this out, they just need a bit of brainpower at work.

    Not directly, but would certainly help balance teams. Up to WG to come up with a solution. For now, MM could be manipulated to have an extra round (20-30sec max) to change over 1 or 2 ships at the end. I am convinced this is possible. I do not agree. Balance is not just having an overpowered ship, balance is also in having counters. Ships that have weak-points that are easily mitigated vs. Ships that have weak-points that are near impossible to mitigate. Sure, WG may have balanced the total ship lines, but in a match with 24 this is not reflected. Up to WG to solve that.

    I fail to get your point. What's not successful? What are a lot of opportunities to learn what for whom? Before we get a oversensitive skippy shutting down stuff 3 issues in my view, in order of, let call it, fixability: (and yes, all in my view etc) 1: WG pushes players to high tiers, flooding it with inexpierenced players. They could protect players from this by limiting tiers to expierence. Just like they do the first 250 games. (whatever data is needed is most likely found in their holy spreadsheets.) 2: MM fails to recognize and sort ships within a class (LR sniper vs brawler, Torpboats vs gunboats, radar/hydro etc.) making for unbalanced teams. They could label ships and balance team composition accordingly. Again, could be found in said speadsheets. I don't buy the "would make for very long waiting times" stuff tbh. 3: Ships that WG knows are unbalanced (now only available for gamble) are only 'balanced' on 'populairity' instead of banned (reimbursed, exchanged) or nerfed. Won't happen because money, but would save a lot of irritation. (We all met the divisions with those ships, fully the responsibility of WG ) They do nothing but push the 'it's the playerbase' narrative without taking a single grain of responsibility. Either out of greed, incompetence, plain lack of interest or a combination of it. Seriously, I've played very fine matches that were lost partialy by my stupidity, but the amount of matches 'lost or won in MM' are getting very, very high. That's a shame and WG should and could make a piece about what they are doing to fix this. But I guess the 2 drunks in the cellar don't make for good movieclips. Maybe getting on the flashy design team is more important then fixing plain old boring code, while that might be the saviour of this, in the basics, great game. I doubt the game will have a lot of chances in the near future for obvious reasons, but they might use that time for some positive stuff.

    Kept track for about a week. just over 65% of my matches had a team (or both) with at least 1 sub 750games (total) in a T9 or T10 ship. Performance was far from acceptable. (and I'm pretty easy on what acceptable is). Highly probably lost a number of matches because of them sailing pretty key ships (the only radar, 1 of the 2 DD's etc or at least lasted shorter then needed)

    But only when they found out the hard way. WG should and could protect these players by limiting the tier to expierence. How they do it? they are the devs, they'll have to figure it out with their fancy spreadsheets. Will it solve all problems? nope.

Even worse, WG pushes players to high tiers, so they make the problem even bigger. I leave it up to the reader to determine wether incompitance or greed is at the cradle of it

    As long as WG remains clueless, no reason to think anything will change. Just please don't fall for their *something with excrement from bovin* about 'it's all the player base'. It is to easy for them to shift blame and don't take responsibility for their own lack of ability. As long as WG does not recognise that with every ship they add MM gets worse, they don't stop selling high tier ships to new players, they refuse to acknowledge that they messed up balance big time by sheer incompitence, continue to 'balance' ships on avarage player and populairity and don't stop adding new stuff to a broken and out-of-date base, MM remains a lottery. Only thing WG could do is stop any and all new development (exept subs, that team is far beyond help, they should be fired) and take a few weeks to hammer out all that is wrong. But they won't. Untill then the phrase " we are working on the problem" means nothing more then: we have 2 dyslectic drunks in the cellar that we send a e-mail every week to get it sorted. (find something to tackle me over. Good luck skippy)

    Had the same kind of issue yesterday. Solved itself. Guess we can add this to the long list of things WG devs are messing up. But that's what you get when you employ people who fall in the low-end of the 1910 Binet-scale.

    The 'state of the playerbase' is fully and wholly a result of the unsound decisions made by WG. They have it in hand, they should fix it. It is no use blaming players for actions they have never been properly instructed in. But since it is not of any interest to them, they will not address the issue.

    Since the dev's have absolutely no clue whatsoever, concealment is rather useless for most sec BB's. Nearly every game has a CV anyway, a bunch of 'balanced' radar cruisers and if you face a half-decent DD, you will be spotted and wrecked by one of the LR sniper wonder ships the dev's have dreamt up during a LCD trip. I go unconcealed for GK. Have the module for schlieffen and Pomm. No captain skill. I rather have the repair and fire reduction. (HE spamming BS incoming anyway, because the dev's are out of usefull ideas)
  25. Maybe it isn't a good plan after all, it seems they break 2 things to fix one. Maybe WG should start putting competent people on the payroll. You might be completely right on that. Shame though, could have been such a good turnaround. Well, at least they managed to get a decent communications department, maybe, one day......
