That WG is not interested in this, because their policy is aimed at pleasing egocentric players. If and when WG becomes interested in teamplay, they will make changes to that effect if they can translate that to a higher income.
-
You shall have to accept that 60% of games are decided before start. 20% by uncaring players and 20% is up to you. WG is incapable of changing that because reasons that vary on who you talk to. Anyone with brains already bailed that company, we are left with the rest. Accept that, it will all be over in 2 years at the most. Until then, just play freebee when you can handle laugh at their incompetence, it will get worse.

Ships that playing runs the risk of getting reported.

I think the karma system is designed by the WG balance team. They work equally good. -
Should DD players at least get spread evenly between teams according to their DD stats?

Should DD players at least get spread evenly between teams according to their DD stats?
MarChil replied to Sir_Sinksalot's topic in General Discussion
last time I kept serious track, I marked 100 games. about 30% I lost or won because line-up was clearly unbalanced. 15% very probably because I screwed up/had a good day, 25% other factors mainly involving teammates, opponents or plain RNG issues everybody should face. Sure, it's my perspective, but I think 60% is a lot of games that got pretty much decided by faith. Just a bit of attention of WG and I can screw-up more games myself instead of having an algorithm do it for me. Undoubtedly a hardcore, talented player can do more to influence, but they are a select few. I would hate to be forced to play certain ships to make sure I stand a chance, because most ships I don't play, I don't play because they are not fun to fight against. -

A) If it were truly random, there wouldn't be equal amounts of BB's, DD's etc B) Teams get unbalanced because WG refuses to acknowledge certain ships to outmatch others on important features, and lacking certain features make to game unbalanced. To often it's a steamroll/blowout because of this. Try claiming balance after fighting a super CV/smaland/ragnar/sherman/Petro×2 in a Daring/halland/shima without radar backup. Maybe, after 10K games and a lot of talent, but it's not fun either way. Please don't assume it's about something it's not, it makes for bad discussions. -

Pls don't ask WG to fiddle with MM. It always makes things worse. We must accept the fact that it's a piece of garbage and deal with it. -
My feedback and improvement idea's on submarines
MarChil replied to Karakzorn's topic in General Discussion
1) I have a car for you, I have no idea if anything works as intended on it, so will you take it out for a couple of weeks and give feedback? Don't do it on the track, just on the public road. 2) Why do you insist on, for lack of a better term, balancing subs on players with just a couple of hundred games? Meeting an expierenced player in a sub is certain death or at least a ticket out of the game. Your holy spreasheets must be telling you this for weeks now 3) Why do the BB's have to get subs, while also being at the most risk? Is it intended that BB's stay back because subs are around? What is your idea about subs, who is their counterclass? Or are we having another CV-type that are not balanced by another class. 4) so many questions you have not even tried to give a good answer to..... 5) won't get an answer, but hey, at least I made an effort- 77 replies

Oh, they sure will. Doesn't mean that it's gonna be a suces. Just like subs, CV's and just about anything they layed their hands on the past 2 years, it gonna fail because they are clueless. They don't seem to get that it's the basics that are getting more broken by the patch and adding things makes it worse.
-
Sure, because the strong point of WG is adding new classes to the game that are fun, engaging and balanced. I mean, what could go wrong? It's not that just about anything not visual related in the last year is an epic failure of biblical proportions.

Please restrict players with low PR and WR from IX & X battles
MarChil replied to AllterEg0's topic in Current Update
1 of the 2 biggest issues. But hey, WG says it is all fine, you just need to buy a nice premium and be patient. It's not their responsibility after all, it's 'the playerbase'..... -
They plan to let it die slowly and then pull the plug. WG is only interested in new players they can lure into spending before moving on. Last thing they want is players who actually think and plan. It's just not a thing that fits in WG's long term strategy.

"We strive for openness and mutual understanding with our players, and we would like to thank you for your attention to the game, constructive criticism, and positive feedback. And we hope you enjoy the fruits of our efforts! Stay with us." Just read this stuff. They really believe this? Wouldn't put it past them.

Seems that Wargaming staff have stopped commenting on submarine threads.
MarChil replied to The_Angry_Admiral's topic in General Discussion
They don't have a clue. If they had, they would either move jobs or do something about it. Those people are long gone and all that remains are the ones that either don't see the problems or can't move jobs because no one wants to hire a incompetent @$%&^. -
Hey WG, Fantastic job on Subs, CV's and Superships.
MarChil replied to Captain_Breeze's topic in General Discussion
And they are glad to see you go. They are not interested in critical players with a mind of their own, because it shows that they lack one themselfes. -
WG reconsider? That would involve reflection, being critical about itself and be able to think. So it's a no-go. Anyone who doesn't blindly follow the 'it's the playerbase' fairytale they like to use to deflect all their own failures is out of WG's group. They've learned from the best I guess.

never mistake stupidity for malintent. WG can't find competent dev's, because the finance department wants them to be spine-less interns they can bully around. It complete and utter incompetenace. -

If you do not want others to enjoy the same you do when playing a game, yes, that is rather ego-centric. -
Matchmaker Discussion Thread & MM Balance
MarChil replied to Excavatus's topic in General Discussion
It can guide players, push players, slow down players, advise players etc. Winning and ego-centric playstyles do not cancel eachother out. Ragnar is fun to play, but not fun to play against. It's a ships balanced on mediocre play, a complete BullShip when handled by a skilled player. -
Matchmaker Discussion Thread & MM Balance
MarChil replied to Excavatus's topic in General Discussion
Playerskill should make the game, but WG's incompetence makes that a uncommon thing. Also, WG should make sure people aren't to clumpsy in high tiers, but let's not overload their already streched out brains to much, opening a Vodka bottle is hard enough for them. Ragnar promotes a ego-centric playstyle, just like a lot of other ships. -
Matchmaker Discussion Thread & MM Balance
MarChil replied to Excavatus's topic in General Discussion
Playing a Ragnar.... Ego-centric playstyle, like WG wants you. But then again, you are right, MM is random. But it shouldn't be random. It should make teams that consist of ships that balance each other, so you don't get a team with all the radar, snipers etc and a team doomed from the start. Then player skill makes the game. But since WG has forgotten how to program a simple algorithm, steamrolls are the norm. But keep pushing the 'it's the playerbase' fairytale WG likes to tell, so they don't have to take responsibility and just hold on to the uncritical, capitalism unworthy ones, just like they love. Pay, play and swallow everything that is being fed. Don't like? Leave. WG doesn't want critical players, just spine-less wallets without an opinion and fair-play attitude. -

And who is responsible for that? Right, the company that makes the most spineless neanderthal they can find senior developer. -

Gave a lengthy comment about some of the things I feel they are failing in. Kept it civil, thorough and argument supported. About a full page long. Communications department? Can't even be bothered by a original reply, just a copy-paste bot and the ticket is closed. Yeah, great customer support. WG's motto? Pay, Play and be silent. They hate critical customers, don't care to give a decent answer and just do whatever the vodka tells them.
