Because WG says it's fun and engaging and the vast majority of players begged WG for years for this. You still think in the lines of quality gameplay and that is plain wrong. WG made it cristal clear quantity is what counts. So get in a T11 yourself and have some fun. No need to do good, just do whatever your nose tells you.

WG... rectifying mistakes? you must be mental. They will just ignore it and say the silent majority loves the line and is happy WG did this. Because, you know, WG is always right and never ever makes mistakes. The silent majority always agrees with them. As long as they fail to hire competent staff and formulate a vision, WG will just keep spiralling down like this and their arrogant, condescending attitude keeps them from facing the mess they made. So just yolo in and complete their farming missions. Quantity over quality, because the latter takes little effort, money and brainpower on their part. P.S. Don't forget, they have a new excuse now. It's all because of the split and the issues involved.

They can't, because they a testing WG-style. So they just throw around some random things until it has some merit before bringing out any info.

That about sums up WG's efforts. Sure, they add improvements that are not revenue based. They just make a lot of bull that is. It did stop me from trying to do good into 'oh well, who cares, I just YOLO in and see what happens. I know, doing precisely what they want, Quantity over Quality. Just because providing quality is something WG has no intention to.

If you think they do seriously respond to messages that are well reasoned and logic, I can DM you a couple of back and forths I had with (what WG calls) Player Support. Sure, grandpa can play and so can every drunken, cross-eyed toddler. But WG can and should cater to both those and the player who does take is seriously. They just refuse.

Hence my point 'C'. But you are completely right on the point of WG being unwilling to do any of this. Like I say in each point, unlikely to happen.

I read a lot of interesting ideas that might work. The problem is, that most assume a good functioning base. The first problems that need to be solved are more basic. A) WG needs to establish ( and adhere to) a system that gives players an incentive to play well. They have no intention to do that and, looking at the kind of missions they throw around, they are certainly not doing it now. (besides, Sera himself said: As long as you have fun, it's all good) B) WG needs to redefine (and adhere to) a system where ship classes have a well defined role and are rewarded if they play that role well. Given the amount of ships (and classes) that do not adhere to their (or any) role, I do not see that happening. I highly doubt they have a clue about any of that. C) WG needs to give the ability to either play 'playground' mode or 'serious' mode. Since they have trouble keeping the playernumbers up, I highly doubt this will happen. So, in my opinion, it's all nice but completely irrelevant at this time to spew out changes to credits, XP and the like. Let WG fix the basics first. And before I forget: Ceterum autem censeo Submarines esse removeri (and no, I have no classical schooling, kill me on the bad latin)

We can all point this out, but WG is not even reading this. Great to blow off steam, but do not expect WG do react, let alone do something. All weekend is flyboys, most in malta's. That's WG diversity for you. They also fail to assure quality in battles, so you either win hard or loose hard. simple. Remember, WG is all about quantity over quality. Just because it's to hard for them to think of another way to 'develop' the game.

No it's not. A couple of competent, honest, well meaning people in the right places can still save this. edit: Since WG would never hire those people, I'm afraid you are right.

WG? Reason? whahahahaa That would require WG to 1) Have the ability to learn and have a sense of dignity 2) Have the competence to make decisions that are based on well balanced pros/conns 3) Employ human beings that have at least the ability to listen, think ahead further then their lunch or their next paycheck 4) Give a single truck about the game 5) Communicate open and honestly With other words, never.

Diversity has never been a strongpoint of WG. In my opinion it's due to the complete lack of vision on their part. When was the last time you had an event that promoted solid play? It's all farming events designed so everyone who plays a load of games can make it. Shame really, but WG has no dignity, so they will copy/paste and label it 'an event'.

The day I agree with you, never thought it would come. But here it is.

They have no clue about the future. They just do as the wind blows and hope it turns out ok. Look at subs, they just added them and moved around the things till they met the deadline. Same with flyboys, same with all they add. Just put it in, hope for the best and make a nice story out of it. If only they had a vision of what they hope to achieve and then communicate that vision...
