I'm almost done with the game, which is a shame because I love it when it works. One suggestion and one alone. Do not let ships disappear, big or small, unless:
They actually move behind something that blocks the line of sight.
You pan away meaning you lost track of them.
They are using smoke generators
I find the game exceptionally frustrating on this front when:
The ship you are still looking at up and vanishes for no reason. You try to hold off launching your next salvo until it reappears.
They never reappear so you fire at another target, at which point they reappear, but by the time you've reloaded they've gone again.
Sometimes I can see a ship sat behind a mountain (not sure how as a spotting plane doesn't give me a line of sight to be aiming at a target, just general intelligence), but when it moves out into my line of sight, it disappears.
The absolute worst example of this was in the last minute of a game, opposing team about 20 points ahead, last few ships and the decider was between me and this battleship no more than a 1km away which was on its last legs, whilst I was on about 50%, so an easy last-minute win. I committed to a broadside on broadside, cos hey, I had the HP. They were behind an island but we were both heading the same way and about to pop out together. I could see them the whole time, until just before we cleared the landmass, then guess what, they disappeared!
Just fix it, this undermines what would be a cracking game for me. 372hrs play on record but I'm losing interest fast as...................
