Why not? How isn't that true for a battleship? Yes, in a situation with a DD vs a BB the BB has a hard time. But the chance to get to that position I'd argue is much more likely if you have more BBs in your team to begin with than DDs. Which is why we see limitations on BBs (and CVs) in CBs first and foremost. The goal of the DD is to reduce the number of capital ships. Essentially as long as one (or at most two) remain, the rest are superfluous. I await anything of substance to actually counter this, but I welcome ye ol shitposts too.

As an enjoyer of CVs I like to perma spot Shimas shooting at my team mates from the 1 or 10 lines. Conflicting interests compandre.

On a serious note I'd say it's the opposite for me. First of all the longer a game goes on the more heals a BB has used up, and you usually need a pretty high HP DD to Yolo in for a suicide run (unless it s around an island edge but then its not necessary suicide). But more importantly, the longer it goes on, the more difference a DD can do in running around caps for points, if its tight on points. When you talk about match influence, why would the BB have less match influnece over the long run? Not saying youre wrong, just curious.

Game was a campy grindfest free-mium win game like WoT. Would never have played it back then, the upgrades were freemium, the game incentivized camping through the repair system, everyone sat behind island spamming fires with no gimmicks to push them out except the occassional shima torp who took 5 minutes to flank around the map (hurray, big play shima, I know, you cant do that now with carriers, big bummer :( ) Early access is a much better way to fund the game and if youve played since 2015 you have enough ships to keep you busy, christ. No, game is far better now.

Yup. Tbh subs were more fun and skill based when you had to ping two sides of the ship and when subs could see each other under water and kill each other more readily. Its its own whining in a way but less whine would have probably produced a more desirable end product actually. Id have that old system, these visible pings, a bit slower subs and thats it. Now, due to all the whining back and forth they are near unkillable nerfed destroyers whose expected damage output is so much lower than any other class while being a total pain in the [edited]with 0 skill homing torpedoes.
