My "community interaction" is already mostly on Reddit and in comment sections of various youtubers, still i'm sorry to see the forums gone. I have never used Discord and don't plan to start now.

Trade-In - Closed test 12.7 - Development blog (worldofwarships.com) 3rd line of the "Specifics of trade-in" section says: If you exchange a rare ship that is difficult or currently impossible to obtain, the discount will increase. You will see the exact amount of the discount when you select the ship you want in the "Ship to Trade" section. Also, while there are no dub tier 10 ships, there are tier 10 ships in the list you can trade-in for a new ship, unless WG clarifies it down the line, this event seems to have doubloons only as exchange currency, and so a price will have to be set for the tier 10 in order for them to participate.

From what is written in the dev diary i think it might be, at least in my case. Depending on if WG counts the Alaska among the rare ships which get a better trade-in value than a standard tier 9. I guess we have to wait and see, some important things about the event are still not out, like which ships fall into the "rare" group and, most importantly, what is the dub value set for the tier 10 ships you can trade in.

The list is limited, but i hope they add in new premiums with each time the event returns. The initial list in World of tanks was pretty limited when the trade in event was first introduced, but now has some good tanks(or at least i think, haven't played in a while, is the 252U still good?) There is still some good value to be had in this event tho, for example for people with ship duplicates. Right now i have the original Alaska and the Alaska B i got from a box, this event is a good opportunity to get a free tier 8 while also keeping my Alaska B. Also there are the coal ships, depending on what price tag WG sets for the tier 10 ones in dubs i can see myself getting rid of the Khaba i never use to get either the Boise or if WG sets the t10 sell price high enough even buy the Dalian.

The sad truth is that there are clearly still enough whales buying this out of habit without even looking at the value proposition. Because why give out good rewards and perks when the, hmm... "esteemed" customer would buy the trashy ones without even looking! It is a frog in a cooking pot situation, first there were the good rewards, then they began shoving worthless early access ships as a paid reward and now we don't even get that, just early access tokens. I'm almost certain some people would still keep buying that junk even if WG reduces the final reward to 3 common bonus containers!

There are enough Austrian BB and BC designs to make an entire BB branch for the European tree. S.M.S. Viribus Unitis - Austro-Hungarian Battleship - BB/BC Pre-designs (Never Builts) WG pulled off a high tier WW1 design with the Schlieffen line why not with an Austro-Hungarian line too! Just give them some gimmicks, pour a generous amount of the "could have/would have/should have" sauce in the description to justify the performance and you got yourself a European BB line.

First game in the Florida, defeat, but seems to be a fine ship. Also respect to our Nurnberg, dude had 4 BBs shooting at him when we were the only ones left and he managed to not explode for minutes, pretty impressive for that floating citadel!

A fun tier 9 DD that we can get for free and in what seems to be not terribly overpriced/grindy campaign? Who are you and what have you done to our WG? whatever it is, keep doing it!

I got Alabama from my free premium container from the mission. I already have the Massa, but a free tier 8 premium is always good! I hear she is a no-frills workhorse of a premium BB, might be refreshing to play something not reliant on gimmicks.

Pretty pleasantly surprised by them! Nice profits, relaxed gameplay and the bots can actually put up a fight now, particularly the DD AI is vastly improved and the BB targeting now seems to prioritize broadside ships.

I am pleasantly surprised that we got a relatively straightforward event and not the Russian slot machine one, but what we got is simply not worth spending on. The container bundle is obscenely expensive for what it offers and with no rare ships in them is just a bad value, just buy the ships you want why risk with RNG. The new commander container is a complete joke! Not only does it have only 32% chance to actually drop a commander but you can also get duplicates of commanders you already have! Besides why would you want them? Very few of them actually have unique voiceover the rest are just a picture in the port. Distant voyages containers are better value here, at least you get some cosmetics. Picnic by the sea containers are also pretty trash for their price. The only good thing i see are the red bonuses and the Black Friday containers you can buy for dubs(those are good value ONLY IF you don't have the standard versions of most ships otherwise there is good chance you will end with a bunch of useless duplicates).

If someone has an old Russian account maybe log in and post here what the random bundle chains contents are, because without them we don't have full picture of the event. From what i can see there are two currencies, the Silver suns(pleb tokens) we get for battle pass and in coal/free exp bundles in the armory and Golden sun tokens which are dubs only. -Pleb tokens can be used to buy West Virginia '44, Distant voyages containers or play one of the two lesser slot machines( the 12 and 19 bundle ones which also award premium summer tokens, but i can't open them without an account to see how much). -Premium Summer tokens are used for the Big Whalin' slot machine with 263 bundles(with prem ship containers), also, they too are needed for WV 44, those new commander containers(basically Distant voyages but awarding commanders instead of paintjobs) and ,apparently, an auction, featuring Jean Bart, the new hybrid DD abomination and Devastation. The price for West Virginia is 2500 paid and 15000 pleb tokens. The premium BP awards 5k pleb ones and you can get 7800 more from the armory coal/free exp bundles so 12800 in total, i assume there will be some kind of mission that rewards more pleb tokens to make up for the missing 2200(and also use in the small slot machines to hook people up). But from what i can see now, there is no way to get WV for free, at minimum you have to pay 2500 dubs for one of the premium token bundles to get enough.

OMG it is even more trash than expected! The summer event is already live in Lesta RU server, pretty safe to say it will be the same for us(because Lesta is toootally independent and their previous events were completely unique. /s) The summer tokens in the BP rewards are not even the premium summer tokens you can use to play the slot machine for the chance to get a prem ship container, oh no no no! Those are dubs only! What you get is the poor pleb variant, from what i can see usable only to buy Distant Voyages containers and West Virginia '44. And to put the cherry on top of the diarrhea cake YOU CAN'T EVEN GET WV 44 FOR FREE WITH THEM! The price of the ship is 15000 pleb tokens+2500 paid ones! Meaning you still have to cough up at least 2500 more dubs for a summer token bundle. So from what i can see so far, the maximum you can get from buying and grinding the BP is 5000 pleb tokens, then you can buy for coal and free exp a total of 7800 more, so 12800 in total IF you buy the BP. I really hope there will be some missions for the missing 2200 tokens because if you have play slot machine for those too that is just insulting.

Tier 10 only, over and over again... What a snoozefest! Oh, and subs too! Because the boredom isn't frustrating enough, we get MINOR DAMAGE as well!

Yep the event is up now, honestly the Nottingham is not worth it. And definitely not worth it to buy through the event, at maximum you can get 170 tokens by spending resources and grinding missions, Nottingham is priced at 570 tokens so you gotta get the remaining 400 by playing WG slot machine with 48 bundles only 3 of which give more than 20 tokens and 3 giving none at all i think it is safe to assume most people will have to get 20 bundles in order to get enough tokens, which means 20k dubs OR, assuming the best case scenario where you pull all 50 and 100 token bundles... you still need 10k dubs more! That is nearly the normal price of a tier 8 cruiser AND THAT IS ASSUMING YOU ARE LUCKY!!! Same calculation goes for the other two ships: Cossack- If unlucky you need 9k dubs. Indomitable- If unlucky you need 13k dubs. AND THEN... there is the British coupon you can buy for just 5 tokens and gives you 25% discount in the prem shop(cash) on a list of british ships which includes both Cossack and Indomitable. So Cossack with the coupon comes equivalent to 7500 dubs and Indomitable to 9200 dubs. In conclusion... The only things worth it in this event is the British 25% discount coupon and if you like them the camos and flags, the token offers for the ships are trash value and rely on you getting lucky on the slot machine, if you want Cossack or Indomitable, just grab the coupon and buy them at better price. And if you(for some unfathomable reason) want the bucket of mediocrity called Nottingham... Well, just wait for the full release in few months, because right now you are at minimum paying nearly full price and if you are unlucky tier 9 price for it.

So, banning Georgia and Musashi because of overmatch. But apparently Sun Yat-Sen is fine... Ok!

No new ships... Also an option to buy just the commanders would have been good. I'm missing the ork and the chOas dude. Still, a straight, normally priced, sale is always good. Knowing GW i expected it to be overpriced, and knowing WG i expected a slot machine. Good job this time.

The new boat is pretty fun. Can be terrifying if you catch someone with their pants down. That dude in the Cleveland melted in a single burst, from full hp to oneshot.

Most likely, last year there was a similar event with the Hampshire, few months later she was released for dubs.
