I,m having exactly the same problems as indicated by I_C_Notting post. I have had the game lose connection maybe 10 times in 2 days since the latest update even though I have still got a good connection in the rest of the house, this is probably more problems I,ve had with the game than in the whole of my previous 18 months playing combined. I have to reboot my system to be able to then reload the game as shutting down a hung game does not seem to allow me back into the game (or get back online). I have run both the WGC and M/softs SFC plus A/V checks with no problems found.

No vpn running

It makes me quite angry when I come across a argument and view such as the one AllterEg0 is spouting on about, as this attitude is sometimes magnified in the game by so called "good" players verbally abusing other players who they consider as bad players. The report system is not strong enough and does not seem to really deter players from doing this in my opinion. I,ve been playing nearly everyday for the 18 months since I joined WOW and I suppose by any bodies definition I am a "bad" player. Which I would freely admit to by using AllterEg0,s analogy But what determines a so called bad player is different by everybody,s criteria. (And really it is quite irrelevant - which I will show with one simple statement at the end of my post) I will use my own situation as a example:- 1 I am 72 years of age and my thought processes and reactions are not what they once were. So does that make me a bad player? 2 I,ve had 4 heart attacks and 2 serious angina attacks and therefore have to be careful even playing online games. So does that make me a bad player? 3 I suffer from arthritis which affect my hands and fingers quite badly sometimes which does affect the way I play. So does that make me a bad player? 4 Because I have played so much I have built up a fleet including 70 TierIX-X ships. So does that make me a bad player? 5 It seems to me that if I and other lower level players play against better players that may help me to improve our game. So does that make me a bad player? An note here is, by AllterEg0,s thinking I should not be playing in the same TierIX-X game as himself and players of his level, so that begs the question "In which games would I play them? and gain the experience to get better", not that I think I can get better, I,m happy enough with my game My point here is before you critisize other players, for whatever reason, just think that there may be may hidden reasons why that player is not upto your so-called level of play. Remember at the end of the day World of Warships is a game in which you will find all types of player with different skill levels and motivations for playing. Is that the simple point I referred to earlier, no this is:- If there were no so called bad players in the game there would be no so called good players.

Before resetting main German DD line today (to take advantage of the 2x Multiplier activated today) I was pretty sure I had 5 vacant ship slots. Can anybody explain why after resetting I still had 5, am I wrong in thinking any ship slots released by resetting a line should go back into your pool of available slots, in my case added to the 5 I already had. This old man would appreciate clarification, cheers shipmates.

Ok thanks, stupid of me (sorry) honestly thought I owned some of them (don,t play DD,s). Only went down the line to enable better accumulation of research points.

This is one of my frustrations with WOW, not the fact it was a loss, but look at the ships on each side and then look at the aircraft shot down by each side. If I,m correct with the exception of the Kearsarge and the De7 Provincial, the enemy team has 5 ships that don,t even carry aircraft, the remainder carry Spotting Aircraft or Catapult Fighters, so where on earth did the Kearsarge and the De7 Provincial get so many aircraft that we shot down, a total of 83 aircraft, it,s just seems so odd when you then consider that the enemy team shot down 0

I,m a OAP who does not know or understand the finer details of this game and consequently I get a little confused with certain aspects. (I,m basically a aim and shoot player, I,m not a good player just someone who enjoys the game) I except that my team had no air power but I just could not understand why the other team had 2 ships with aircraft whilst we had none, would that bad matchmaking? that basically was the reason for posting.

16 items to collect, completed 5 of which 2 are duplicates. That,s why I think it is a waste of time and effort

Noticed yesterday 9.12 started to download the pre 10.0 file. On checking progress WOWS showed that it was updating and underneath the updating bar was another bar saying I was no 2 in the queue, and then another bar underneath that one saying I was no 3 in the queue, no activity at all was registered in task manager, after no movement or change after 6 hours I closed WOWS down. Restarted a couple of hours later and no update activity at all, and was able to run WOWS ok. Then this morning Exactly the same problems happened again, in the same order and same results. Just wondered if any body else has come across this before?

Trying to complete Five Epochs Of The Navy (Epoch 3) Have managed to get all the stars required to activate the final task, but I don,t understand what the final task is. Below are the screen shot of the 3rd Epoch finish. Can anyone explain to me what this actually means to this tired old brain, what I need to do to complete this 3rd Epoch. Thanks in advance.

I,ve been slowly working through the Dockyard Mission and I notice one of the conditions for completing the second part of the Mission says that you have to get 100 incapacitation ribbons using a tier VI - X aircraft carrier. Now I freely admit that I may be misunderstanding this but if not, it would mean that if you did not have a aircraft carrier already you would not be able to complete the mission to acquire the Anchorage at the end. The only way I see it is, to complete this mission would entail having to purchase a aircraft carrier. Now if my understanding is correct this should not be happening. Could somebody please help me out and let me know if my thinking is wrong and maybe explain it to me. Thanks.

I,m interested in playing in a clan. I,m not looking for a clan here I might mention. I have had a few invites to clans when I first started on WOW,s and on my first invite I accepted, but because I was newbe I did not have a clue on how it worked ( I might add this was before the current season started ). 1/ I accepted the first invite I had, and I went to the clan,s pages every day and I was scoring certain items (not very much ), and quite understandably I was dropped from the clan ( did,nt realise the clan was a Russian one - I think ).The point here I am asking is reference to being in a clan and it not being a clan season, Which type of battle helps your scores for the clan? 2/ Which type of battles are for clans in the clan season? 3/ Is it worth my being in a clan as at my age my my speed of reaction, and thought processes etc are not what they use to be, but being a old time Royal Navy pensioner I do enjoy playing this game immensely, and it certain helps in passing the lockdown time. On a completely different track, I wonder if some kind soul could explain the following diagram for me. I,ve been trying to complete this Dockyard mission for quite sometime, the thing I don,t understand is what do the national flags indicate? As can be seen for the lower mission condition I am making headway, but for the upper condition absolutely nothing since I started. This is really bugging me as to why I cannot progress. I do use the correct tier ships but do,nt seem to get anywhere. Any help with any of my questions really appreciated.

Something had been nagging at my tiny mind about torpedoes for a few days now, and then it came to me. Why if a ship has torpedo tubes on each side of the centerline of the ship, does it take as long to aim and fire from the side that has not already been fired as it does if the ships torpedo tubes are on the ships centerline. In other words it is not true to life, as a ship in real life with torpedoes set on both sides of a ship would be able to fire both sides at the same time. I accept there may be a case of artistic licence in the programming of WOW but I just thought I,d put it out there for interest. Any thoughts?

As ever Astolfo_Is_My_Waifu you are so very helpful, thankyou. Just thought, have I got this right I can be in a clan and just playing the standard games that I do at present and that will also help the clan? And if called upon I could enter into a full clan battle now and then if the clan is short of a player for particular day or such (as I,m at my computer everyday and evening) using the three temporary tier 10 ships that WOW has allotted me for the duration of this present clan season.

Unfortunately I,m a old man in his seventies, play WOW to help with the lockdown here in the UK. As I suffer from a little arthritis I find that I need to change the artillery camera key in the controls section in the settings as using the shift key is a bit difficult for me to access, as sometimes it is a bit painful for me. Think I,m doing it right as it has allowed me to change one or two other keys for my comfort. But unfortunately not the shift key. Has anybody got a solution? I,m not as quick as you younger players so using the right hand shift can problematic for me. Thanks for any advice.

OK now I,ve got my 19 point skill captain(Scharnhorst) but I am still a very slow learner. So my questions on this are: 1 What can do with the 2 undistributed skill points I have showing as please correct me if I,m wrong, as I understand it so far I cannot now gain more, could I simply do a redistribute to try and enhance my overall ship effectiveness. (Recommendations gratefully received . Am I correct in saying any redistribution would still leave 2 un-useable skill points) 2 How do I now help my next captain up to the 19 point skill level. ( captain with 14 skill points on Nurnberg - must admit my favourite ship so far). Screen step by step process shots would be really helpful to a old seadog like me. 3 How do I now use the elite XP points I,ve so far collected. I don,t even know where to start looking to use these to my advantage). Again screen step by step process shots would be really helpful for me. 4 As showing in the screenshot I,ve posted, what on earth are the advantages of the transformer Icons? is just the obvious quick captain.s start or some other advantage I have,nt picked up on. Believe it or not I am trying to compile a collection of screen shots and their relevance for me on how to do things in WOW as I am always trawling the forum and youtube for useful info on stuff I am trying to get a handle on, so that I can in time be less reliant on the forum on asking what may seem dumb questions, and maybe in the the future help other new players. A totally unrated question now, on the screen shot it shows the ships I have by nationality etc is it possible to show your list of ships by tier instead?
