I will briefly share my recent experience with WG support because this can happen to anyone.
One day I tried to log into my account and I got the following message:
“Your account has been locked permanently. Reason: manual chargeback. Please contact support
After many messages with the support, they told me what happened:
“The suspension you're facing was because of fraudulent gifts that were made to your account. Unfortunately, it looks like that happened during a time that your account was compromised and the hacker not only accepted these gifts, but also consumed their content in-game, making it so that once the gifts were refunded, a debt was created on your account.
To unlock your game account, we will need you to make a new payment, the same amount as the previous ones, directly from our premium store”
To get my account back I would have to pay in gold 2461,54CZK ( aprox 100€). I imagine that this amount would add to the 16000 gold I have in the account, to pay the “debt”.
Although money be important, in this case, is a matter of principle: they know that I have no responsibility, but they require payment that I naturally will never do.
Last message was:
“In such case account will remain locked forever I am afraid! If by any chance you would change your mind on this matter and decide to purchase appropriate amount feel free to contact us again and we will gladly remove blockade from your account “
If I treated my clients this way, I would have closed my company a long time ago.
As a final note I say that I never shared access to my account with anyone and had recently changed the password.
