Agreed, I am in very similar position and being able to run the blue boosters on the premium T8s and 9s to rake in the credits, around 1 million per battle. When you throw in the coupon vouchers and other ways of getting flags now they seem to go down a lot slower and even go up often.

This topic was just a rhetorical click bait to tee up all the usual salty doomsayers for their predictable answer and to haul out their usual list of frustrations.

Well no surprises here, the vocal minority dredging up the same old chestnuts that have been debated ad nauseum before with a pat on the back from the salty forumites. I am no WG apologist, they have made a lot of mistakes, but the game ( separate from how you feel about WG ) is imho in good shape and I am having as much fun as ever playing it. New ships/tokens/events/auction - they free, if you don't want them, don't grind them. The game is free to play, if you don't like it, please uninstall.

I'm surprised by the value for this pass and a definite buy for me. 2500 dubs is not a lot and even just the coal and credits you get straight away, that is almost worth it alone. Then you can see the huge amount of resources you get over the levels and the tier 7 premium.

Exactly, you still get the same free stuff you do daily from missions but you can whale for more. Nothing unfair about this, yet forum going off again.

You might as well bid big or go home, any extra you overbid will be returned. If you can't afford the cheapest whales bid then you shouldn't be in the auction in the first place.

I find that you can only have time for 1 main lifestyle game and for me that is WoW but there is time for other games that usually have a finite end. I dabble in a few of the mystery and detective games...Sherlock Holmes and busy now with Strange Horticulture. What's nice with these is when you finish them they are finished so its not a bottomless sink hole of time and its usually a pleasant experience. I played a lot of CCG's before discovering WoW a few years ago, still do a few daily games there as well on Eternal.

Definitely my favourite T8 CV due to its secondaries. Got a decent win rate and damage in it. It takes a decent amount of situational awareness to play it to its best potential and also benefits a huge amount from Lutjens. Like a lot of the other CVs, you also need a 21 point commander to pimp out your skills and toughen up your planes or you going to struggle. Torp bombers are super fast and deal decent damage, AP bombs a bit hit and miss but still decent while your torps reload and rockets will be a bit of a struggle like all the other rocket CVs after rework.

I was considering getting it but this kind of confirms my suspicions about it. If you going to play it HE backline you might as well be in a Hindy or any other similar cruiser that is more agile and stealthy or a Conqueror or Thunderer for that matter. The other issue is that I won't, and i'm sure most others as well, be able to run Lutjens in it as he is specced for the German BB brawlers so you going to have to put a normal commander in which takes away a big chunk of the fun. Think I will get Incomparable with upcoming steel voucher.

Yes, most sub players seem to be potatos that couldn't cut it with surface ships. They also really need to look at how they let people into sub play.....this guy on our team was barely 2 weeks into the game but has already been able to play 50 out of 135 battles in a T10 sub and the results show.

I must admit I was surprised to see how many superships are being played, often 5 a side. Based on the forums and the feedback you would think they would be a lemon on day 1 of launch and hugely unpopular but in fact they the opposite, even surprising wargaming. Why is this? 1) There are a huge amount of whales with credits to burn who wanted one. 2) The super container incentivised lots to get one. 3) Players were curious about how they would play and got them, but now the novelty is wearing off now that they have their supercontainer and realise what a credit sink these behemoths are to run. 4) Another reason or a combination of 1 to 3 ??? For me it was probably a bit of 1 to 3 but now that I have my supercontainer I will only take mine out on rare occasions based on the economy and lack of incentive.

We all know some of the things WG has done, but it really baffles me when they make a substantial donation ( although a small % of their income ) to a worthy cause and people still find a way to criticise them.

I had this issue but updating graphics driver seems to have solved it.

My friends I have introduced to the game are enjoying it a lot. Salt aside, it is a great free to play game if you like this sort of thing. It is not pay to win and there is no need to spend money on the game, you get lots of good stuff for free. It is important though to separate the game from WG, we are not judging WG here, which a lot of replies are.

Plymouth is hugely underrated and was my first steel ship. It's utility in randoms with so many consumables is excellent, as long as there is something spotting for you. The ability to also drop a 54 second radar and smoke is very powerful, specifically against enemy dd's.

I tried Weimar in ops. but didnt get the amazing damage others were, maybe I was missing something. Munchen actually did better in ops. I think the gun range and flat arcs limits Weimar in randoms. Munchen has performed well for me in randoms due to the longer range and ability to farm over islands. You also nimble and can take on DDs and other ships direct given suitable situations. You are constrained by maps and positioning however, if you spawn in the south in Okinawa for example u generally toast.

Munchen is one of my favourite light cruisers. You are usually shooting over islands and farming so you not in the line of fire to much. Munchen is better for randoms than Weimar.

This. You basically paying 5.5k for a starter pack for these bonus last 5 stages. You also getting a mega gift crate so I think all these 4 rewards are probably worth around 5.5k plus the ship you get for "free". You kind of therefore paying nothing for the ship so thats why you generally get a nothing ship.

My suspicion is that the drop rates for ships on the veterans and seasoned are much lower than on the juniors. i.e. it actually works in reverse % compared to the santa crates where megas obviously have a much bigger chance for a ship. I and a few friends got pretty good drop rates in all the juniors over quite a large number of them but between all of us have only found 1 ship so far in the vets and seasoned ones.
