The Thunderer is not the most high impact battleship unless you use it's combination of mobility and excellent guns to kill priority targets. Blapping a DD and taking 40k damage in return from all the xxx_sniperbismark_420's is more value than farming 100k fire damage on battleships from the safety of the next map. Not that I know you're doing this, but many Thunderer drivers seem to.

It's not like it's every match, just every four matches. They care so little about AA and do so much damage to each other it's often that the first manfriend to start trying to kill the other wins :D

Also the S. Soyz was actually laid down, which can be suprising considering the amount of fantasy ships in the soviet lines.

The line culminates in either Gneisenau or Bismark depending on how much you enjoy torps, and then gets a bad ship at T9 and a terrible ship a T10. So the good news is, there's no reason to grind the line to the end!

Of course DD have a place, somebody need to spot while the manfriends are trying to snipe each other.

Bought Prinz Eugen, got a satan container with leftover doubloons that gave me an Alabama (what do I do with an Alabama? But ok.). Seems like a fine ship so far :) No regrets!

Plenty of TX ships need upgrades, many DD for example have torpedo options.

Funny, the I had roughly the same idea of how to change AA/CV interaction some weeks ago, beef up AA in whatever way that allows it to actually deflect strikes but remove deplaning entirely.

Well it's a really boring mode, best to yolo because otherwise you're watching maximum snipefest for 20min.

The queues seem just fine. The player level doesn't though. I don't have the mental to tryhard while 6 morons fail at every basic thing in the game. Expectation : Spotting a DD is bad for said dd. Reality : It's bad for an angled kremlin or a mountain more likely. Expectation : Successfully pushing in the center and killing the opposition is a win. Reality : Pushing means your team finds either the port or the next map and you lose in 10 minutes. Expectation : Going with a cruiser and dd for the other flank will let me fire on the enemy and maybe win the flank. Reality : After I've gone to firing position both teammates abandon the flank before seeing a single ship and the whole team dies to 3 ships on the opposite flank. Expectation : People play radar cruisers to screw with DD. Reality : People play radar cruisers to borderhump and shoot at a bow in Kremlin. It's way too frustrating!

The lightweight AP of Scharnhorst is best aimed at the stern/bow/upper belt and indeed super unless you're in a range to pierce a broadsiding target's lower belt. Personally I never use HE as it's so terrible.

I'd get Yolo Emilio because it's kinda unique. Ohio might be great but it's not like you can't just get a tech tree BB with 457's and armor.

Find any kriegsmarine battleship captain and torp them, it's almost like cheating
