The tech-tree Gneisenau and the upgrades you buy on it probably represent some plans that were never carried out. I think it should come with 280mm guns that you can change to 380's. -

I try to aggressively hunt down the destroyers with it because even with a ship disadvantage the side with alive dd's can win. There may be better ships for it than Seattle but for example I didn't warm up to Alaska in this mode because I get to shoot a dd like once or twice and it will live.

How 'bout USCL? I didn't spec IFHE yet because my captain is only 15 pointer and I'm not sure if the ability to penetrate battleship extremities is worth anything when it doesn't apply to all of them and many hang so far back? -

No, why? I just gave them the afk reports. The funny thing is, they returned, very late into the game, and we won.

Some Hindenburg play, finally settled on a build that's just fairly normal with the damage increases and mediocre concealment. Uh oh, there's still a Shimakaze and we're down so many points. I rushed down an Iowa and a Baltimore before this so I have about enough HP to die immediately to Shimakaze guns. Hah, a good joke. Like any Shimakaze uses guns! -

Yes, and not just a bit, but I also find it very fun and the maps and the amount of pushing bb I see in ranked seem favourable to it.

Doing okay with Seattle, didn't like CV too much and still hate battleships. Seattle is a fine ship. Though what ship would wake up 3 AFK battleships? Can I have that ship?

Anyone else think the Italian battleships seem terrible? What are they supposed to be about, anyway? Shoot SAP at angled battleship stern/deck somehow from close by for better alpha than ships that have HE, but no fires? Okay. -
Unfortunately Izumo exists and makes Hizen look really bad. Heck, any T9 bb makes Hizen look really bad. I'd far sooner drive an FdG, at least that ship reloads before the heat death of the universe.

Yes. Battleships were perhaps buffed in relation to other classes, but somehow I find it's easier to impact the game in any other class. Especially destroyers. -

Extremely rarely? If there's like 1 dd to begin with, sure. But generally the side with better DD seems to win 90% of the time. It's part of the reason why I don't much like playing battleship anymore. Having great tankiness doesn't mean it somehow transfers to the guy who's FLANKING FOR TURPSD and dies to a random worcester.
