So okay. This is some ship. It's Z-39 but stripped of fire chance, reliable torpedoes, speed boost, T8 german cruiserhydro and concealment. For all this you gain... Less dispersion on your guns. Okay? I sure like Z-39 but it's not exactly so OP that you'd play a garbage version of it.

Yes, another commander skill rework rant
Itwastuesday replied to totally_potato's topic in General Discussion
There's little personal benefit for a battleship to "push in", he gets shot at virtually any range he stays in anyway and can reach and kill targets anyway. By pushing in he gets focused, becomes the immediate target of every Shimakaze which are plentiful in soloq and loses the advantages of a kiting position. What you can gain by pushing sort of requires your team to work with you, and you just can't trust those guys at all. Heck, half the time your DD is dead before you're in any position to push... -
Upcoming rocket planes nerf discussion

Making the carrier personal output more rng and less good seems to just make carrier even less fun to play. Why not touch the oppressive spotting abilities instead? -
I don't understand Petro and the "nosetanking" playstyle
Itwastuesday posted a topic in General Discussion
If I play it I take massive damage all over the place and feel like I'd do better in any kiting cruiser (the AP is great tho so there's that). I assume that I'm doing something terribly wrong. So I played Montana today and chunked a pushing Petro for 27k into his upper nose. The Montana, the much malinged, doesn-not-get-overmatch, poor Montana. Sunk him in a span of 3 volleys. Is the key to never get locked bow in to a battleship? There's often 6 of those, where do I bow in? -

Okay this was clearly the thing. It's such a weird angle to be at, intuitively at least. -

Okay, thanks. I'll be testing it some more. First game I help a Grozovoi sink Halland with radar get torped in smoke, then I proceed to get spammed by Hindenburg and Venezia while chased by Halland and Shimakaze while occasionally radaring them and hitting for piddly damages. Survived until the end though. -

Ah, so more like any other cruiser, then? -
Sounds like a Harugumo drive-by all right. I've seen Haru 100-0 a Kurfurst with AP machineguns in what was probably in the ballpark of a minute. It is a rare but glorious sight.

A mission for Kidd? An useless level 10 commander, but okay. Why not. First game of course standard battle so no possibility of stupid capture condition, especially when friend somers torps me thrice when I'm hunting carrier. Next game... Two brothers is such a frickin' terrible map, man. -
Buff Zao and GK turret angles.
Itwastuesday replied to Sweedish_Gunner's topic in General Discussion
Just give Zao Exhaust Smoke and it'll be intresting. -
I prefer concealment, she doesn't have Alaska's magic citadel or armor, and needs a flatter broadside for her AP shells.

Blapping CVs with Yama/Musashi: spotting plane
Itwastuesday replied to RamboCras's topic in General Discussion
Well in this case it's not true since the friendly carrier protects their team as long as it lives because the 899 is just hunting him :) -

I faced it once, I think in Sanzang. I just drove manually for a bit until I was behind the carrier island. -
Has the Hindenburg become the most annoying HE spammer now ?
Itwastuesday replied to bloodynicknames's topic in General Discussion
Dunno. It sure feels powerful now. The spotter plane skill is so useful, and just getting a 10% DPM increase is nothing to sneeze at. I like it. -
did anyone else noticed the decrease in rewards in current dockyard event compared to last dockyard?
Itwastuesday replied to leonport's topic in General Discussion
Yeah. But at least the ship looks good. Hizen was such a joke. -
Why should it cost money to test builds/get balance? There's so many things to buy in the game anyway. Like I'm okay with buying a ship, a goofy permacamo, even occasional gambling box such as I'm partial to gambling. But I'm only willing to spend a certain amount on video games a month, and it's not going to be on frickin' respecs.

Trying to decide if I want to grind Elbling or the normal KM DD line. Hmm. -
Well, also the products I might buy. Say I wouldn't buy any premium soviet DD because I don't have the new DPM boost specced and I'm not going to pay for it either.

It's more like the cheese shop no longer sells you cheese without crummy plastic forks that cost 4€ extra per piece of cheese.

CV:s in the Social Dimension - a Look to the Future
Itwastuesday replied to Procrastes's topic in General Discussion
Okay then. The thing is, your often frustratingly useless team sometimes help you kill the destroyer, or even actually do it. They can help you spot the torps, radar, push the DD back, take the cap, all kinds of things. Sometimes you're left alone with an Asashio and yes, it's kinda reminiscent of being targeted by carrier. But often times your team helps with DD. They won't help you kill the carrier, because generally they can't, even your own CV can't facilitate it.- 94 replies

What. Are most games for you "man, it's impossible to sink these pesky destroyers"?- 94 replies

Itwastuesday replied to Procrastes's topic in General Discussion
One thing about CV is that in no game will you accept being hit without being able to hit back. It's not terribly fun. Another is that playing them is boring.- 94 replies
