ROFL! What version of WoWS are 'you' playing, Pete? 0.0? I always see dynamic movement on Ocean as there is 'nowhere' to hide.

Give back the 'old' designer's table port
Aethervoxx replied to anonym_FDOLXpxOfXXq's topic in General Discussion
I don't like it WoWS changes your port screen just because they produce something new. It would be nice if one could set each ship to the port screen of one's choice. It would also be nice if WoWS offered every single port screen they've designed as a choice option, as well, instead of burying so many. -
This is a newer part of the KS/no KS argument that will never go away. Technically, there is no such thing as a 'Kill Steal' as only the firer whose damage actually kills a specific ship is credited with the kill. Yet the reality in this arcade game is there are 'Kill Steals'. The argument may be made that players steal a kill when they have done barely any damage to that specific target as compared to another firer who would have killed the enemy ship if left alone to do so.

It must be 'your turn' here, Karasu_Hidesuke, to get 'contrarianized'.

My post here is for ideas/suggestions for how WoWS could increase their revenues in a '+' positive way.

Has anyone seen this Waterline video? Two well known WG employees 'acting' friendly. LOL What is with the scene background full of WG plush toys & the books (no doubt naval history ones) on the shelf? As if anyone in their right mind would buy cheap plush toys with a WG brand logo on it. Well, maybe, some Suckers would. As if anyone at WG actually reads naval history books anymore. Well, maybe, some Russian fantasy naval fiction titles if there are any. One other query - why didn't they use Dasha & that other female model they've used before to 'present' this Waterline news release. They'd be much better on the eye than the 'twins' we got.

Oh ..... this is about ... Sub torps. Here I thought this would be about something more 'seriously broken' .... (disappointed, expectations dashed ... again)

Apparently, lup3s, using one's brain is overrated. The pablum eaters here require being spoon fed so their brains won't get over taxed with figuring out that the time left in the battle is always displayed on the screen not to mention there is a 1,000 total points counter displayed, as well.

Monetization ideas/suggestions for WoWS.
Aethervoxx replied to Aethervoxx's topic in General Discussion
My personal suggestion & it is an old one is for WoWS to offer for sale a 'dedicated Clan Flag slot' or, alternatively, a 'Clan emblem symbol' such as is offered in WoT & WoWP. A 'clan emblem' should easily be able to be placed on a ship smokestack. A 'clan flag slot' may be more work but not excessively so and would, imho, be the much better option. Already, the 'Cats' clan has used the 'Kitty Puurfect' flag as their 'clan flag' (fyi). I would be willing to buy either for an acceptable price of, say, 3,000 to 5,000 doubloons (or even a bit more). I still don't understand why WoWS has not offered this purchase option (after even 6 years now)? -
Geez, I hope not. I'm planning on watching a World cup qualifier between Canada & El Salvador tonight. Certainly not going to engage with the 'contrarian'.

Just name it Testing and forget calling it Ranked.

Just name it Testing and forget calling it Ranked.
Aethervoxx replied to Logan_MountStuart's topic in General Discussion
I was under the impression that the USA had the real life Super Ships such as the Iowa or Montana class of BBs, perhaps, even the Ijn Yamato class BBs. I do not recall other ships that might have been termed 'super' and didn't BBs go out of style as a ship class after WW2? Perhaps, I've missed a whole section of Super Ship Naval history books that WG has had access to? Is there some 'sekret' soviet archive that Czar Vlad has unveiled full of Super Ships built of 'stalinium'? -

Soviet Carriers Early Access bundles prices "leaked"
Aethervoxx replied to wot_2016_gunner's topic in General Discussion
WoNWS is too close to WoWS , not to mention WoWP . This may confuse the 'tykes' too much, methinks. -
What are your preliminary plan for the birthday event?
Aethervoxx replied to Khaba_Gandalf's topic in General Discussion
Do I get a birthday wish if I blow out their 6th anniversary birthday cake candle? My wish (if granted) would be the owner of WG hire me as CEO of WG so I can clean house at WG Headquarters and return both WoT & WoWS to what they were originally (Good Games) unlike their present sorry states. -
What? Are you losing your grip on sanity? Whether you like my response or not to the topic, I'm entitled to my opinion. Send the other 19% who agree with me the same message you sent me. Sheesh!

Soviet Carriers Early Access bundles prices "leaked"
Aethervoxx replied to wot_2016_gunner's topic in General Discussion
Prices 'leaked' for early access to Ru CVs? This leak into the Ocean will never be noticed. Who, in their right mind, would spend money on WoWS now, especially some joke fantasy Russian CV line (with 'skip bombs'? ROFL)? -
I voted 'yes' for two reasons; #1) Whether they work or not, as designed, this game is a 20th century Naval Battle game and 'Subs are an integral Class of Warship' & #2) WG is not going to invest all this time & money into Subs & then not include them. So, like it or lump it, Subs will be in WoWS.

Which forum members have you seen in random battles?
Aethervoxx replied to Cobra6's topic in General Discussion
Today, I saw Lefthandjurk on my team in Ranked &, as usual, he was whining, in battle chat, about being on or seeing bad teams. We disappointed him and handled the opposition with some competence on our part. -
"With the release of Update 0.10.9, Premium Ship V container will no longer be available in exchange for Community Tokens
Aethervoxx replied to koliber_1984's topic in General Discussion
I'm thinking this is just another nail in the coffin of lower tier play now creeping up to include T5. -
These mega threads are where WoWS sends player ideas/concerns/suggestions along with these inter-personal exchanges on some obscure point - where WoWS wants these to die. WoWS shuffles these topics into mega threads so their flunkies can control the narrative and, at the same time, isolate any meaningful discussion. Who would read thru hundreds of pages of the several manure pile threads? Very few, if any. On topic (or off topic now I suppose) - I could care less about this thread now as it is all about the failure that is the Reworked CVs topic. I want RTS CVs back (full stop, end of story) (&, ofc, what WoWS was like before the farce CV rework)

My thoughts about the Patch 0.10.8 video
Aethervoxx replied to Deckeru_Maiku's topic in General Discussion
Two words: Not impressed. The video announces all these great things that have happened in the last year - like what? The CC fiasco including Little White Mouse? The new emphasis on T5 thru T10? What happened to tiers T1 thru T4? The access, finally, to T1 thru T3 Dutch Cruisers? The very tiers WoWS no longer cares about? The coming of the Fantasy Russian CV line, again thru a months long access farce? Skip bombing Ru CVs? I can hardly wait for more fantasy barf arcadism from WoWS. A 7 vs 7 Convoy mode that makes no mention of Subs? If this is anything liked the new Ranked play then count me out. A nonsense puzzle collection? More exciting premium offerings? As if anyone, with any intelligence, will buy anything from WG these days. Just more of the same WG shilling via Dasha Perova. Not that I criticize her - she's just some model spokeswoman - she just repeats what the Advertisers want her to say. Why is WoWS even celebrating their 6th anniversary & then barfing out a statement that they want many more years of WoWS? Their product/patient is now on life support. -
A Missed Opportunity: the pre-Dreadnought Era of motorized Warships
Aethervoxx posted a topic in General Discussion
This post is a FYI (if anyone is interested). 1880 appears to be a convenient turning point from old warship design to the new motorized steel warship design. I was curious about the era of motorized steel warships from 1880 to 1900 - the period which WoWS did not deign to cover (for whatever reason). I found out there are a great many warships of this period that could/might have been included in this game. The great powers that had motorized warship designs were twelve (?) in number, of which eight were significant. These eight great powers were the UK, Rus, Fra, Ita, Ijn, Ger, USA & Aus (Austria-Hungary). Another four powers had considerable navies, namely, Spa, Neth, Swe & Tur. So many attractive designs. Old fashioned looking, yes but so wonderful looking. Lots of Cruisers - just wait to you see the variety. Lots of Destroyers - ditto on the variety. Lots of Battleships - just wait to see the old Rus BBs (2nd biggest fleet of BBs at that time). If this time period (1880) had been included as T1 - then our present T2s could be considered T4 (basically an extra two tiers of ships could have been included). One last benefit (for the anti CV & Sub crowd) - if WoWS had started at 1880 instead of 1900 there wouldn't be CVs or Subs for, at least, the first four tiers of ships (if not for about the first 6 tiers) All these 1880 & later ships/ship classes are referenced online with, in some cases, many pictures. It is remarkable how much WoWS missed including (for whatever reason)- 30 replies
