Why? Resist this urge. These Ger BCs will be available to grind for free (silver credits & FXP) in a couple of months.

How do you spend your early access tokens??
Aethervoxx replied to ___V_E_N_O_M___'s topic in General Discussion
I usually buy camoflages. -
how to gain Early Access to the new Germans?
Aethervoxx replied to Siagor's topic in General Discussion
I 'guessticounted' , what, twenty-five 50 Euro bills there? That's around $1,117.50 Cdn 'Loonies' (yes, we call our money that, lol). Jeepers, is that how much these Ger Battle Cruisers will cost ? Yikes -
What apology? Is not what we got just 'excuses'?

I have recently discovered a reference to 'wows.mv-smirnov.org' which is a WoWS sanctioned (as far as I can tell) website available in the Russian & English languages. Surprise, surprise. Four 'realms' are listed; the 'ru', the 'eu', the 'na' & the 'asia'. What is 'registered' there? A Grand Total (between the four realms) of 2,762 Clan Flag Icon Designs registered by the Clan Commanders (the only ones it appears who can do this). Let this sink in. WoWS is sitting on Two Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty Two Clan Flag Icon Designs. 2,762 * Barely any of these Icon Designs (so far as I examined them) - everyone of them 'crafted' by Clan Commanders and/or Clan Players - can be considered an inappropriate image. These Clan Flag Icon Designs are visually artistic and/or impressive. I have just one question, WHY AREN"T THESE CLAN FLAG ICON DESIGNS IN THE GAME? One more question, WHY ISN"T A DEDICATED CLAN FLAG SLOT FOR SALE? (purchasable by the Clan Commander, as in WoT & WoWP) There are, already, about 425 WoWS Developer designed Commemorative Flags in WoWS so these 2,762 Clan Flags could be included in this game. * This number is for the 'registered' Clan Icons. I have no idea how many Clan Commanders/Clan Players who have not registered or otherwise made up a Clan Icon Design (I suspect this number is considerable).

TY, Fat_Maniac, but this tiny icon in the team lists is not what I'm advocating for (plus a 'mod' inclusion of a clan icon is something many players don't even bother with). So, the 'issue' remains ......

Think how wonderful the battle becomes when two CVs sink 4 enemy between them & the other two CVs (on your team, ofc) sink 0.

Matchmaker Discussion Thread & MM Balance
Aethervoxx replied to Excavatus's topic in General Discussion
Yes, the Red team mostly wins. -
All I will do is whenever my Sub torps sink an enemy whether it's an [edited] homing torp or not (which, ofc, will be maybe hit and/or lots of misses anyway).

Differences between premium ships and special ships
Aethervoxx replied to Polaris_ESP's topic in General Discussion
I believe a 'premium' is any ship you can purchase for doubloons/steel/coal or tokens that is not on a silver credits regular national tech tree line. A 'special' is any ship one cannot obtain any longer (or only very rarely) such as an Imperator Nickolai I or a Belfast, for example. * Iwaki Alpha & Arkansas Beta are in a category of their own. -
How much should a dedicated Clan Flag Slot cost in WoWS? Historically, WoT (& WoWP, I suppose) charged 2,500 gold/doubloons to purchase a 'clan emblem decal' which got placed on the vehicle hull. What was this in euros? Roughly 8 Euros five or six years ago. I'm no expert but I'd think a charge to a Clan commander of, say 5,000 doubloons (16 odd Euros) or even 7,500 doubloons (just over 24 Euros) would be reasonable. That's 16 Euros * 2762 Clans = 44,192 Euros OR 24 Euros * 2762 Clans = 66,288 Euros profit to WoWS. WoWS already has the coding for Flag Slots so their costs to introduce this new feature would be minimal. Sure, 44,000 to 66,000 Euros (or some figure in between) is peanuts to WoWS, however, it sure would be nice to see these Clan Flags in the game.

The Most Popular Ships In The Game
Aethervoxx replied to Sir_Sinksalot's topic in General Discussion
I'd say it is the 'history' & 'legend' of the Bismarck that is responsible for the overall most popular ship in WoWS (plus it is or was a pretty good BB). -
The Most Popular Ships In The Game
Aethervoxx replied to Sir_Sinksalot's topic in General Discussion
See, Pete , I can give you a thumbs up (when you are sane ). In your two lists you supply, I find the Gneisnau - I recall a lot of players who didn't like it (years ago when the Ger BB line first came out), however, I've always liked it (due to it's fun factor/challenge factor) -
The Most Popular Ships In The Game
Aethervoxx replied to Sir_Sinksalot's topic in General Discussion
I believe you are seeing the historical numbers here - from WoWS heyday to now. For whatever reasons (& there are likely several) what we see on your list, Sir_Sinksalot, are ships that had some (& perhaps still do) advantage that players gravitated towards. Ten ships had to be in the top ten most popular. Thank-you for supplying this info - this is interesting. -
So this is what games will look like...
Aethervoxx replied to PaxtonQuigly's topic in General Discussion
You, obviously, don't play T1 - T4 anymore. There's Bots throughout these tiers. I do believe one sees Bots in T5, as well, at times of low server populations. What is the tier limit for Bots to fill a queue? Anyone know? -

Aethervoxx replied to PaxtonQuigly's topic in General Discussion
I quite agree if you are referring to the farce reworked CVs. I never found RTS CVs boring to play or to play against. In fact, RTS CVs were challenging to play & to play against. -

Aethervoxx replied to PaxtonQuigly's topic in General Discussion
LOL. Yes, FieFaFoo, all these buffs & nerfs to CVs & still these reworked CVs are farces (in comparison to the old RTS CVs) and observe all the other horrid changes these reworked CVs have necessitated. -
Submarine gameplay feels more like a game of chance than anything else
Aethervoxx replied to bloodynicknames's topic in General Discussion
In Ranked the Subs were a game of chance. Playing a Sub, either you got a kill (or 2) or you got sunk pretty fast. I don't see Subs in Randoms being much different. -
I did not access these 'monstrosities' or I did not participate in this event. I'm sure many players are in this boat. As to hating here in the forums - FYI, 'Gwynnie' everyone is entitled to their personal opinions on these super battleships. I'm sure they offered an alternative play experience for or against. The question still remains, "Are these Super Ships a good 'addition' to WoWS or not?" My opinion, considering these ships are fantasy BBs (catering solely to the BBaby crowd), is they are not a good addition to this game.

I'm passing on 'this' too .

Yay, another great Cpt Skill reset due to another ludicrous introduction. I suppose all ships will have to be examined to see what needs resetting, although, I suspect not many will. I'm also curious about the Sub/anti-Sub options for the upgrade slots - what might need altering there.
-
I plan to limit my play to T1 to T4. I will not, therefore, see Subs nor reworked CVs (except when 'War Cheating' places me into a T4 battle that contains the 'wreaked' reworked CVs, no doubt with two CVs a side, 'that continuing abomination'). I also plan to transfer my high point Cpts to all my low tier ships &, furthermore, I may build & buy more low tier ships (I have plenty of Cpts needing gainful employment). I will re-assign my Captains when the next free Cpt skill rework happens (although, probably, in most cases, I won't have to). As to signal flags & camoflages - these appear, atm, to be easy enough to earn. I imagine I will retain a few high tier ships to complete a few campaigns and/or missions. After all, who wants the idiot reward for completing the 6th anniversary barf that WG is offering there - that 'moronic toon puzzle'? Unfortunately, yes, I will have to play versus Bots as 'War Cheat' no longer cares about the lower tiers (or, even, new players, if they ever did). After seeing four blatant CHEATS out of six battles today, I see no other choice of strategy. It is clear 'War Cheating' will continue to favour high tier play (to the detriment of any other) & that they ('War Cheating') only care about selling the latest power creep high tier 'flavour of the day'. Might, as well, just play the tiers where neither the 'utter garbage' reworked CVs let alone the newest mistake, the Subs, will not be encountered.

Some real SOUR 'profanities' in Randoms...
Aethervoxx replied to Migantium_Mashum's topic in General Discussion
Has Random really become this toxic? As far as I'm concerned, all the 'sour' profanities in Randoms ... are 'entirely the responsibility of WG'. (it's exactly like Europizza says) -
[PSA] Submarines participating in Random Battles in update 0.10.9.
Aethervoxx replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
Yay! Subs going into Randoms. Yay! We've had the farce garbage reworked CVs class (I'm 100% for RTS CVs, btw). We've had the farce Cpt skill rework. We've had the, what is that AA thing? rework. We've had the new several update new tech tree line sales gimmick. We've had the new gimmick national trick (depending on the nationality). Exactly, How many REWORKS have we had??? We've all seen how 'SUCCESSFUL' all these reworks have been. Yay! Subs are coming to Randoms. Yay! -
20 Matches, 19 onesided steamrolls
Aethervoxx replied to bloodynicknames's topic in General Discussion
20 matches, 19 onesided steamrolls. This is the new WoWS intention -> Screw you bad enough you'll just spend some money (but never better enough to ever be worth a penny). Hence, there is one conclusion = WG only wants your money = you still gave them money?
