I'm wont to play pretty much all tiers. How? I random what ship I will play. So, I random up my 'Gelderland', a T2 Du Cruiser & I get a T2/T3 Random Battle full of real players. Surprise, surprise (or not) considering reworked CVs & now Subs in Random battles. The pleasant surprise is: I saw a well played, close Random Battle - there was one survivor (screen shot enclosed) at the end. When was the last time I saw a close, well played by all, battle? Until today, this one, I can't recall anything that could be remotely termed a 'close battle' - that's how bad the MM has become.

If WG continues with their brilliant design decisions a year from now this game will be nothing but Subs vs. CVs

Ya, I know (or 'thanks' for reminding me) but i can 'dream' I could sink one, can't I? -
Could anything be bigger than the CC fiasco?
Aethervoxx replied to Aethervoxx's topic in General Discussion
I think Subs in Randoms are necessary. Why? I'm just following WG's logic(?) to it's 'logical' conclusion . -
A competition where you define the ships available?
Aethervoxx replied to I_need_an_adult's topic in General Discussion
I doubt this is a good idea, I_need_an_adult, as the player base is too fractured as it is, with all these different playing modes in the game, namely; co-op, random, halloween, ranked, twilight hunt, brawl & clan battle. -
Too much exaggeration when it comes to Submarines.

I wish I had an image of that 'Dos Equus' beer commercial guy. If I did, I'd have a caption saying; "I haven't yet played Subs in Randoms but when I do you may be assured I will try to torp reworked CVs." -
[POLL] Feedback Thread for Update 0.10.9
Aethervoxx replied to ColonelPete's topic in General Discussion
WG management knows the Forumites opinions (valid as they may be) are a tiny passionate minority who care about WoWS. The problem is the 'rubber (of the tire) meeting the road'. WG Management, imho, only cares about money. This is crystal clear (or should be by now). As to the poll questions, I answered 'I generally don't like it' except for two; I don't like Halloween event at all - it is far too juvenile cartoonish but then this is the WG target audience now isn't it? I generally like* Subs in Randoms - anything that WG can do to wreak WoWS is fine by me as they've wreaked it enough already in the last few years (including the Rework CVs & pretty much everything else since then). * I could not say (like a few did) that I 'love' Subs in Randoms - 'that' is like crossing the Rubicon or selling your soul to someone (although, I suspect those who did so actually want Subs to utterly ruin WoWS)- 74 replies

Aethervoxx replied to bloodynicknames's topic in General Discussion
If I'm still playing WoWS in a year from now, I will solely play Subs so I can sink as many of these Farce Garbage reworked CVs as possible . -
I don't think WG can recognize a good idea staring them in the face. It wasn't their idea. They didn't approve it. The players are wrong. The WG management is right (the Boss says so). The Holy SpreadSh? (that icon), well, we have to kiss it no matter how bad it tastes when we lick it. Plus, creating a 'Corvette' - well, 'that' would just be too much work (although the one design was manufactured, literally, hundreds of times)

ROFL. This is hilarious.

subs literally extract the fun out of the game
Aethervoxx replied to ColorsOfRainbows's topic in General Discussion
I call 'over fertile imagination' on this description .... 1) How did the two Subs get that close to the enemy while ... 2) The enemy, apparently, according to this example, stayed in their spawn (Oh, so they were camping cowards were they? Then, they deserved everything they got) & ... 3) How did the Subs spam torps in all directions? (DDs might be able to do this but Subs sure can't) -
Tier 8 BB uptiered: tier X subs, CVs, DDs en Cruisers
Aethervoxx replied to RamboCras's topic in General Discussion
Here is your answer (to your well illustrated post). -
I'd bet, Ocsiman18, that you didn't expect so many replies to your original post here. A lot of good comments one way or another , some hilarious ones & some way off the mark 'dissing' (as is often the case). Talk about 'opening a can of worms' here, lol, or a 'tempest in a teacup', lol.

I beg to differ here. Accusing your team mates of barf play is often highly accurate & honest. It may be non-productive but it is calling a spade a spade & many of these 'snowflakes'/ '[edited]' can't handle the truth. These 'Doofuses' get their panties all in a knot for being called out which is exactly what they deserve.
-
Yes, there were scum who abused this to cause losses but, at the same time, some of these scum sure deserved a dose of (not so) friendly fire themselves. Ofc, WG took that bit of fun away now didn't they?
-
I'm not on your case at all, OP, but this semi-quote above should be required reading for the 'well known forum turds here' who barf out 'git gud' as their infamous 'pedestal advice'.

How can one vote in a 'generalized' poll like this? Aren't the high tier Ger BCs quite a bit different than the lower tier Ger BCs? Are not some good & some bad (or less good)? Who has played all of them (& enough battles for each tier) to be able to make a valid appraisal?

How long will it be, do you think, before WoWS video posts appear on Youtube of 'a Sub torpedo hitting the stern of a ship' along with comments like "See what he got up his rear?" (or is this already there?)
-
This is a 100% correct statement. Even Potato CV players who have a modicum of brains can accomplish this. Not much else, ofc, but they can 'spot' What is wrong with CVs spotting?. Nothing. It is one of the primary functions of a CV, as well as to sink enemy ships. When it comes to CVs, themselves; 1) My opinion is the reworked CVs are a complete farce & are complete garbage. 2) My opinion is that when WG removed RTS CVs , WG began the ruination of WoWS.
-
My guesstimation will be as soon as WG thinks it needs a quick infusion of cash - after all, prices for prime real estate are probably rising in Cyprus. &, you know, ex Soviet Union citizens were 'deprived' in their youth so they have to compensate with 'avariciousness' in their adulthood.

subs literally extract the fun out of the game
Aethervoxx replied to ColorsOfRainbows's topic in General Discussion
My conclusion is it's WG wanting to drive out all the old player base & simply rely on the new player bottom feeding window lickers who will get suckered into spending money on some ludicrous garbage WG product. -
Every ship with ASW planes now has scouting/radar functionality?
Aethervoxx replied to RamboCras's topic in General Discussion
Just to be clear here - that DD was not me, lol. When I play a DD, I barely ever remain stationary (tho, when I do, I'm usually capping). -

Aethervoxx replied to RamboCras's topic in General Discussion
It was disconcerting, tho, to see all these BB ASW bombers flying around. It sure appeared like they could 'spot' (I was in a DD at the time). Glad to know they can't spot but what about if your ship fires AA at them, then what? -

Aethervoxx replied to ColorsOfRainbows's topic in General Discussion
I know from my limited play of Subs in the last few months (not yet played them in ranked) that it is 'fun' to sink surface ships with them. -
